Powers stands by their installations and carpet and have been so easy to work with. Gary takes care of his customers. I highly recommend them to people looking to get the best carpet, a great selection and reliable service.

The sales people are incompetent and offer false information.While we were out of state they installed Tuftex Pet Friendly carpet throughout our house and in one of the bedrooms used two different lots which did not match.When we saw the carpet it was already stained and could not be cleaned even by a professional. Water stains it which is amazing since is supposed to be "pet proof". My dog has barely walked on it because it is so delicate we keep all the bedroom doors closed. The product is a total misrepresentation and I very much regret purchasing it and warn you not to make the same mistake.

Powers One was a pleasure to deal with. I drove out from Los Angeles to buy carpet for a condo, and assumed I would have to set an appointment another day for them to take the measurements. However, once I selected the carpet, they left the store to take measurements on the spot. Additionally, the two installers who came out a few weeks later not only did fantastic work, they were pleasant and professional. I recommend Powers One.

This was newly installed carpet and for the last 2 summers there have been ripples formed; like it was not stretched or nailed down properly. We've asked several times to have it fixed and after not getting back to us, we asked for it to be replaced. "They will get back to us" has been the response for the last 4 months. The house sat empty over the last 2 summers, this happened on its on.

My contractor recommended I visit Carpet One to see if he had anything I liked. I met with Gary who had a great selection and great prices. I ordered carpet for my remodel and Gary gave me a delivery and install date. I had a question later and looked up his business. I was shocked to see the Yelp reviews and had I seen them prior to going there would never had done business. So I called Gary, didn't tell him about the reviews, but reconfirmed the delivery and install date. Right on time, Gary called me a day prior, identified the installers and they arrived right on time and did a fabulous job. I called Gary back and thanked him and then asked if he had seen the reviews. He really wasn't aware of Yelp or the rating process. A few weeks later, I had an area rug that needed resizing and right on time, his staff picked it up, matched the binding, and brought it back right on time. At a cost significantly less than what I had paid for resizing of an area rug elsewhere. I'd do business with Gary again without a doubt because my experience was excellent. I've been derelict in posting this review. When service is bad you tell 20 others, but when it's good, few are lucky to hear about it. Mine was good enough that I wanted Gary to hear about it.

Communication is a fail with these folks. No information on when the carpet has come in. "Early next week" is the constant response to just about any question. I think the selection is good and the prices reasonable but I'm not sure that makes up for the frustration of dealing with them. The installers were hard working but the management is awful. God help you if you have a problem--more delays and excuses. Customer service and attitude are awful. My best advice is to go somewhere else.

Dealing with Powers One has to have been the worst experience I've had with a store in a long time. I put down a 50% down payment on a floor the last week of December and the floor wasn't installed until mid-to-late February. Every time I called to find out when the floor would be installed I was told by the owner, Gary Powers: NEXT WEEK. Each time I called him he said the same thing:NEXT WEEK. He repeated this more than 3TIMES. On a very positive note the installers Beto and Vianey from CROCE HOME REMODELING did an excellent install! If I didn't have to go through Powers One I would use them in a heartbeat! P.S. I asked Powers One to send me a receipt showing paid in full and never received it. It's par for the course!

What a great store, the selection is awesome, including what they have in-store ready to sell. Have been looking for particular type of vinyl flooring for quite awhile. All the home improvement stores have such large minimum orders, it made the project too expensive. Walked into Powers on a Sunday and there in the back they had the vinyl I had been looking for! I walked out 25 minutes later with all the vinyl I had been looking for for close to three months. No heavy sales pressure, they let you browse. Extensive selection of carpet and plank flooring as well. I'll be back for carpet!

I probably should downgrade even further. When I placed order, I was told they would call the next day with expected delivery date. No call, I had to call them. When carpet came in, they did not call. I had to call them. Bottom line...great selection, good to very good pricing, atrocious service. Is it worth it? You decide. For me, I won't order from here again.
