This hotel was okay—nice room, good breakfast, etc. For us, though, there were several negatives, the most important being a very dangerous shower situation. The shower floor tilts down at an angle toward the drain, and just before the drain, there is a drop-off/ledge! Though I'm a senior, my son in his mid-20s nearly fell because of this. To make matters worse, the shower floor is slippery—no grippy surface or even a rubber bathmat that could be used. Finally, the one grab bar is at the rear of the shower, so if you slip on that very dangerous ledge, you're out of luck. I really think Holiday Inn Express should add a grippy surface to the shower bottom, maybe put a warning stripe where the ledge is, and add another grab bar right above that ledge so if someone slips, they don't kill themselves. Another negative for us was a kind of weird greeting by a front desk clerk I never saw again. We're an average family—we don't look "shady." But this clerk questioned me in a rather aggressive way when we arrived because the reservation was in my spouse's name. Then he asked for my I.D. (standard procedure, but again, it was done negatively, and he seemed to be scrutinizing it in a way that struck me as odd). We've stayed in many, many hotels over the years, often using reservations made by someone else in the family, and I've never had this happen before. Unpleasant, but luckily he never appeared there again and the other desk clerks were professional and friendly. Finally, I should mention that if you're thinking this might be a good place to be in Palm Springs, it's just okay—for us, it was a bit far from Palm Springs itself, and though there are restaurants nearby, they seem to be mostly chains.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Rancho Mirage for a short weekend trip in the Coachella Valley. The hotel was modern, clean and convenient to everything in Rancho Mirage and the adjacent city of Palm Desert. It was within walking distance to The River, which has a plethora of restaurants to choose from. Our first-floor room was clean, comfortable, spacious and because it had an exceptionally high ceiling, internally quiet as well. We did not hear any traffic noise from Highway 111 either. The Dove soap and hand cream were a nice touch. Unfortunately, the bathtub was slick as a hockey rink. They should really make tub maps available for the guests. On a brighter note, the breakfast was fine and I had one of those yummy Holiday Inn Cinnamon Rolls. I do wish they had more fresh fruit however!

I went there to check out some cars, didn’t have to even touch my wallet before I got service. Staff was incredibly friendly, immediately asked if I wanted water. They went as far as to let me sit in a huracan evo and a rolls Royce phantom. Todd was very nice. If you buy an exotic car anywhere, I would recommend this place.

I brought my 720s here after another service center ruined it for lack of a better word. I called Richard the Service Director ahead of time to explain the situation, and he was more than welcoming. Jesus was my service advisor who took care of me (and my car) during my visit. Happy, Satisfied, Wonderful Experience, all of that was achieved here and more. It was quite the long drive for me coming from the Orange County area but let me tell you, the drive is worth the service. They kept me updated throughout the entire process and work on my vehicle, which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. The technician, Paul, even provided a video which was a warm touch as well. I don’t know what’s wrong with me for not having had come here before. (Ok the other service center was closer to me, but after coming here I wish I was with this service center from the beginning. Sometimes you just don’t know what you don’t know, and I didn’t know the team here at Rancho Mirage was so great.) Thank you again!

Had a great stay at this hotel at the weekend, thanks to Johnny for his help and for arranging a nice room on the upper floor. Nice breakfast included and clean rooms. Local Bus number 1 from palm springs to the door is handy too..

There were several problems with my reservation even though I booked directly through Holiday Inn . I had booked for 4 people in a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed and weeks after the reservation was booked, they went in and tried to add an extra person charge even though we had only 4 people in the room and for one night there were only 3. It was quite a hassle to get it resolved and it should never have happened. They were just trying to gouge guests because they could due to limited options for the Coachella Festival weekends. It's disgraceful, but all the area hotels do it. Other than that, the room was nice. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. The internet was extremely slow but the place was full and I'm sure everyone was online at the same time. The bedding was nice with all sheets. The room was carpeted and hard floors are my preference. If the rate was significantly lower, I would stay there again.

Everyone at Mclaren Rancho Mirage were there to help me in any which way I desired. The most wonderful staff, kind, and accommodating. You cannot ask for a better place to buy or service your Mclaren. Special shout out to Ian, Elena and of course Richard. They are the best of the best!

Location: Rancho Mirage could be the best place to stay in the valley. It’s close to all the towns in the area and has great restaurants and shops. The HIE is really conveniently situated near shopping and with at least 5 or 6 restaurants within easy walking distance. Check-in / out and staff: Everything was great with the exception of check in. We arrived just after noon, and were told the room wasn’t ready. Asked them to please get it ready asap. Two hours later and still nothing. Another half an hour and I started to have a sense of humor failure. Really, is it not possible to clean a room in well over 2 hours? Highly irritating and unnecessary. Parking: Plenty parking round the hotel, free. Room: Really clean and well appointed. Large screen Tv, refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, and microwave. Breakfast: The usual, with a reasonable selection of both hot and cold choices. Wi-Fi: Fluctuated quite a bit, but overall it was okay. (See test pic) TV and Air Conditioning: Both were new and functioned well. Stay again? Definitely. Whilst not cheap, unfortunately all hotels are relatively expensive in this part of the world!

Nice hotel with a couple of issues. The air conditioning unit blows directly on the reading chair on the right side of the bed. There is no way to adjust it. There are up/down temperature control buttons on the air conditioner, but they did not work. I did not discover until the next day that the control to adjust the temperature is on one of the walls. I wish I had known that as it was quite cold in the room. The reading lamp in my room had a burnt out bulb. The blackout curtains are quite effective. The complementary breakfast was adequate and they are serving some hot items such as scrambled eggs and sausages. Staff is very nice and helpful, especially the gentleman at the front desk in the evening and the guy who served breakfast on July 10..

We made a last minute decision to extend our stay in the Palm Springs area for a day and this hotel came handy. The hotel was neat and all COVID restrictions were adhered to. The check in process was very smooth. The front desk honored our reward status and easily gave us an early check in. Despite the pandemics challenges, the cold breakfast provided had many options. We definitely stay here again. The hotel is very close to many eateries and recreational facilities in the Rancho Mirage area.
