Very convenient, calm, clean and short lines. Average service. Prices are higher than other stores but appreciate the other positive features.

I received a promo email from Gelson's on Dec 26,2023. In the promo, it had a discount code (Gelsons$20) for online orders of $20 off $50 in online purchases for pickup. It clearly stated that the code could be used three times. It shows no expiration period. On the 27th, I ordered, used the code and received the discount and picked up my items. Today I went to order, input the correct code and was shown that the code was invalid as it had been used by me. Yes, once, not three times. The manager has called to relay that there was a tech issue with their Instacart partner. Unfortunate but happy that I brought to their attention. The issue has been fixed.

Poor location compared to other Gelson's I've been to. Maybe I went at the wrong time, but items were fairly sparse for late afternoon/early evening. Normally we love the panko breaded chicken tenders from the hot food bar, but we ordered a bunch from here and they were way more dry than I remember. Also, the mac n cheese from the hot food bar was old and not fresh. One version was bright orange and didn't look appealing at all, whereas the 12 cheese one we ended up buying was dry and all the cheeses had hardened. Overall, would only come here out of convenience, but there are other grocery stores nearby that might be better.

Update: Gelson's called me back! They let me know their policy on animals in the store. Basically, service animals are okay and all other animals are not. They also explained that they will look into the situation at the store I mentioned--and they sounded sincere about it. This makes a huge positive difference in my willingness to shop with them. Professional, caring, and sincere phone all. Thank you.

AMAZING!!!! I have already left a 5 star review for this location but today I went again and omg I had the best experience I have ever had at any Gelsons by the sweetest lady named "Martina"!!! I truly love amazing customer service it's one of my favorite things any business could have it truly makes the world a better place to me but so rare to receive! So many people hate their jobs and make customers feel that but people like Martina are the reason some people go back to places and become regulars! She truly is the most amazing employee at Gelsons I've ever come in contact with and just in general! Customer service is something you either have or you don't in this life and she has it!! Too many people go out of their way to complain about businesses but don't make enough effort to write an amazing review. I love to go out of my way and applaud businesses for hiring the right team!! AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!

If you love Gelson's, then you are in store for a real treat! This Gelson's is HUGE, has an amazing selection of whatever you are looking for, and the staff provides top notch service. There is a notable selection of lovely olive oil and balsamic vinegar available for tasting at this location. The photo collage attached to this review consists of 4 pics; storefront at night (top left), floral arrangements (bottom left), custom sandwich (top right), and coffee and pastry [fruit tart and tiramisu] (bottom right). Shout out to Jaylyn who made me a delicious sandwich with smoked turkey and provolone. John at checkout was the kindest, and when I mentioned his kindness, he said "everyone who enters this store deserves to be treated with kindness." Morona at the bakery was helpful, upbeat and provided pastry recommendations. Finally, Adrian at the Peet's coffee inside Gelson's was kind, professional and made a delicious latte with oat milk. There is plenty of parking at this location, the store is huge and well stocked, and there are many helpful people willing to help you - I highly recommend this store! If you are interested in licensing any of my photos, please let me know. And check out my Google Reviews, too. Thanks!

We ordered a dinner for thanksgiving and we were very disappointed. Packaged potatoes and stuffing and vegetables not fresh made but processed and tasted awful. And two small pieces of prime rib and a pie for over $200.00 I could have made fresh for half the price. I will NEVER buy from them again!

They do a nice job. A little pricey, but "better than the average grocery store." I often shop there for desserts, which are quite nice.

You already know this place is expensive..... but the service is terrible ... almost 5pm on a Saturday night .. two checkers ... 7 people in each line waiting. They wouldn't even call another checker until I got upset with one of the clerks and told them to call for one. Unacceptable... if you have higher prices you better provide exceptional service ... I'll think twice before wasting my time there again.

Terrible selection of premade salads that were not fresh one or two days old. Horrible produce lettuce was brown wilted and ridiculously expensive twice the cost of anywhere else. $45 a pound steak not even prime just ridiculous premade meat products such as burger patties, skewers again a day to two days old and prices just really unimaginable. I've never been so disappointed as the Gelson's where I live in San Diego is top-notch. This store needs to be closed . I realized it was dinner time and no one was there for obvious reasons.

*Gelson's & Palm Trees* Every time I step foot inside here it's a breath of fresh air -- no matter how hot it is outside. There's always music playing that's not too loud which makes it intrusive...and for some reason there's a peaceful natural easy feeling I get whenever I'm here -- unlike any other grocery store. I've never met a Gelson's I didn't like -- tho I have encountered a couple team members I didn't care for too much through the years, because they had some serious attitude. But I'm here to profess & confess that I love everything about this Gelson's in Rancho Mirage (except some of the higher priced everyday items & produce ;) I really like the layout and love how all the aisles are sooo nice & wide. I can't stand having to maneuver around a grocery store as if I'm driving. The Sushi Counter is very similar than the other Gelsons I frequent in LA, but here they DO NOT skimp on the raw fish & fish and they don't pile on the rice like those others always seem to do in LA. This location even has a sushi bar (just like in Century City) but I haven't sampled it yet because the pre made to-go trays usually please me. But get there early because when it's hot outside those cold sushi trays sellout quickly. The Bakery Counter is what you'd expect at a Gelson's...and even though it's not a Viktor Benes space, everything I have had here is delicious. My favorite thing is a mini Peach Bread Pudding for only $2.99. It's not too sweet nor dried out...and the perfect size to satisfy any sweet tooth cravings. They do have larger ones for $5.99 but haven't needed to indulge because the mini suits me just fine (keep forgetting to take pics) They carry a particular blue corn Tortilla Chip made by Casa Sanchez (that's one of my favs) that no other grocery store carries other than Whole Foods. But WF's charges more...and Gelson's often has them on sale. They have other great weekly sales...and a rewards program too -- after all, who doesn't like saving money? ;) There's a restaurant cafe that serves fresh salads & sandwiches...and even entrees & complete meals... There's a Wolfgang Puck Woodfire Pizza Station... And everything always looks and sounds great. There's a hot food counter that consists of the standard Gelson's fare. But IMO this is one area that all Gelson's falls short on...and sometimes the food doesn't look too appetizing -- especially at those higher prices. But they sure do make up for it with their cold food deli counter and the prepared cold food sections that consists of a handful of my favs. Caesar is so accommodating and friendly it's apparent he's passionate about his craft and cares about his customers. And believe it or not, their pre made (but always fresh) sandwiches on Croissants for only $9.99 are so damn good, even wifey likes them...and she's even more of a picky healthy eater than me :) Also, a special shout-out to Karina for being so sweet & accommodating. Located on the corner of Bob Hope & Gerald Ford, within a nice strip mall with plenty of parking in the heart of Rancho Rancho Mirage. Speaking of which -- it's the city of Rancho's Mirage's 50th Birthday. Hip-hip-hooray...you sure have come a long way. Baby. Thought about knocking off one star for some of the things mentioned above...but between the excellent & friendly customer service and all the other things I expressed above...this Gelson's is an inside-the-park Homerun...and belongs in the Hall of Fame.

This pharmacy and staff feel like your “home town” local pharmacy. Such a wonderful experience as compared to the big chains.

Wow now I know why I don't shop there I needed two items and the cashier asked me if I had a Gelson's card and I said no but I asked if he could scan his card so I could get the discount he said no. Wow any other store would of done that I think this policy sucks no wonder this store is always empty. Beware I know the cashier was black but I'm gay and I thought it was because of that. Beware
