We have been going to James Henry for years. He is extremely knowledgeable and a true pro. James is very welled versed in a variety of tax filings including income, rental property, and business taxation issues. I highly recommend James and his team for all of your tax needs!

Emily Henry is awesome! She is so very kind, thorough and efficient. The list goes on! I've been coming to her for 5 or so years now and will continue to. I hope she gets the recognition that she deserves, She is great at what she does, priced well and I don't have a doubt she always has her clients best interest in mind. Just finished my 2022 taxes with Emily. I have been going to Emily for my taxes for over 10 years now and I do NOT go anywhere else. This year and last year were obviously done remotely, but we still were able to chat over the phone and discuss the amounts I will be getting back from the federal and state. They also help with Food and Service industry because of the tip-outs you pay for these industries. Emily also helps me because I am an undergrad student with tuition and school expenses. I just scan everything into my email and email them over to her and she does the rest. Pricing is also fair. Thank you, Emily!

For over 30 years, when Jay was teenager, I dealt with his father. Which Ray was awesome. Jay was also awesome after his father passed..... But now, I'm only a small fish in a big pond. Just trying to get a bit bigger. It's sad to say that the the man who made a business for him, has forgotten the little fish. 4 days without a return call. Shame on you Jay, shame on you......

James has been my "tax guy" for over ten years. I enjoy my annual tax appointments and actually look forward to visiting with James. It's nice knowing that the person doing my taxes stays up to date with new tax related laws and makes sure that we are getting the best return possible. James always gets back to us when We have questions and he's always friendly and honest. As long as James is in business, we'll be a client and continue to recommend others to James. 3rd year in a row filing with Emily Henry and I wish I would've known her sooner! was recommended to her by multiple colleagues. Can't see myself using anyone else. She is very knowledgeable and knows exactly what she is doing. I feel very comfortable leaving my taxes in her hands. Thank you Emily!

I have been coming to this firm for the last three years. I have processed my taxes with Emily and Johanna. Both are great at their job, highly professional and quick. I don't mind having to make an appointment months in advance just to get in during tax season! My partner is now also processing taxes at this location after I suggested James Henry Inc. My only suggestion, is hire another receptionist. Jocelyn is very rude. I do agree with the other reviews on here. She gets snappy and condescending if you ask her questions or don't fill out your form appropriately after not thoroughly communicating what is expected on the form. She needs a course on customer service skills. This is the reason for my 4 stars. I hope they read these reviews and I hope she gets to read them also, the reason this firm is getting bad reviews is because she lacks necessary receptionist skills. She represents your firm and if the tax prepares have great customer service skills, why is it that the face and first contact to your firm doesn't? Adjust perhaps. Sorry not sorry.

Thank you so much and amazing to have everything done online and very efficiently during this covid pandemic. They did let me know it would take a few weeks as they have everything coming in online at the moment. Got my email and return documents a few weeks later. If you are in the food and beverage industry I would highly recommend James Henry Inc. and team. Great customer service and thank you guys so much for the incredible service on my tax return. Will definitely recommend and will be back :) Also, I'm reading other reviews. If you are in any sort of customer service industry, this is a time to be understanding. Look at what they are dealing with as well. Be kind :)

I used to get my taxes done by a family member but always felt like I was never getting enough back. I decided to try out a legitimate tax firm last year (2019) and booked an appointment at this location. Being that this was my first time going on my own, I wasn't sure about all the paperwork I needed to have prepared to take with me. I called in about 2 weeks before my appointment and spoke to the front desk receptionist Jocelyn and she helped me tremendously. Very patient with my confusion and explained step by step about all the documents needed. Two days before my appointment I emailed them about a question I had and they got back to me in a timely manner. I got there 15 mins early and just went over my paperwork with Jocelyn just to double check everything needed was there. She was very kind and took the time to assure me everything looked great. Joanna did my taxes and went into detail about how my paperwork looks and helped me adjust a mistake I was making with my previous tax years. I felt relieved and confident that I had everything finally corrected. I was very happy with the outcome! I returned this year again (2020) and with COVID-19 things had to be done over the phone and emails, nevertheless I still received great customer service and got back even more this year since I made those adjustments! I am so glad Joanna has helped me and taught me much that I did not know! I am sure to return next year, this team rocks!

I will never go to this place again. Horrible lady who answers the phone. You call and call and leave messages also email them - You get nothing back. I should have looked at all the reviews instead of just taking a friends advise. I got my taxes done in February I forgot to take my Mortgage interest statement ( yes I forgot my bad ) I called and can't even get an appointment until July 15 due to the circumstances. I already paid and just want 5 min if there time. They won't take a client back to help when I need to an amendment? I can't understand an appointment is an appointment no matter if I did my taxes or are trying to fix them. Please don't go here. Believe me there is way to many tax people they will treat you kindly. I think instead of the lady who answered the phone needs the office manager to step in and help decide what's best for the client. Not her

There is only one reason, why I will never go back to this place again and that is because they hired the rudest and most unprofessional receptionist. Jocelyn has no customer service skills and will not work with any customer who does not make their appointment on time or have all the necessary paperwork. Due to the pandemic, I was not able to get my W2, prior to my appointment, from my previous employer because they were closed. I was able to make arrangements the day of my appointment, however, I was going to be about 30 min late. She basically told me, "too bad" and advised me to go on their website, make another appointment (with no openings until the following month) and pay another $50. I asked her if I could at least keep my appointment which was going to be within my time block and she said "we'll see" and as soon as we got off the phone, I received an email that she had cancelled my appointment. The lack of understanding and compassion from her was truly disappointing, especially during these times. She speaks to you like you're child and is condescending with her words. Later that day, I called back at my appointment time and asked to speak to another staff member and was hung up on. I have never been treated like that by any business in my entire life. This place took my money and there was never an attempt to make things right. I landed up taking me and my husband's business elsewhere and have told numerous friends and family not to go here. WORDS OF ADVISE: Don't go to this place unless you want to be treated like trash by their trash receptionist, Jocelyn. She is a disgrace to this business and obviously I'm not the only one who feels like this. Don't believe me? Go check out all the 1 star reviews.

This year was my first with this company for my taxes. I was recommended by a friend also in the service industry, and told that Emily is a great accountant. My boyfriend and I both used her services. This year was exceptionally challenging, I can imagine, due to the covid-19 outbreak. Emily was punctual, friendly, and thorough despite the challenge of virtual submissions and phone-tag. She is very sweet, she even congratulated me on my educational studies. Ask for Emily!

The receptionist needs to learn proper customer service skills, she's EXTREMELY rude and I can hear her condescending attitude through the phone. I called during my appointment time only for her to tell me she can't pass me to my handler WHAT DO YOU MEAN? I paid not only a deposit but will pay a fee for my 30 min time frame so why exactly can't I speak to my handler HAHAH. What if I have questions and concerns I mean they are handing forms that can potentially send me to jail if done wrong. I wasnt rude to her because I don't believe in being rude to employees but, the owners should consider dealing with her poor and lack of job skills. I don't speak to people to be spoken to like a slow toddler. I'll update post after my tax returns are done.
