My husband and I come here every time we’re in town for the food!!! Mela is a grocery store with quality authentic indian food made by the family who owns the store. We are from the Coachella valley and we make the travel to taste their food here. The samosas rice and chicken are amazing! It’s soo bomb! Crisp and flavorful! The flavors taste the same every time! Absolutely delicious! Indian food at its best for sure! Muhamed and family are always welcoming and friendly. Thank you muhamed and family for the delicious plates you make!! -Rose and Anthony ?❤️

The new owner and his team are very nice & friendly. He has fresh young goat meat available daily and beef as well. Has his own butchery to cut as well. The butcher is very professional, I bought fish and goat meat and they were cut and clean very professionally, I have come across only a few who are able to do such a clean work. Also carries all sorts of fish from the Indian Subcontinent like Rohu, Katla, Coral, Hilsa that his team will clean and cut into steaks without any extra charge. Just call him and order the fish and go pick up. Also he carries a line of other small fishes like Gutum, Molla Black, Darsha Putti, Chapla, Sagor Puna, Koi, Balla, Bata, Lotia, Keski, Meni fish. Alongwith that he carries shrimp as well.Also his Shami kebab whether Beef/Chicken are very delicious and no one sells shami kebab in SOCAL at the store except him. His Beef/chicken biryani is also very delicious.He carries various rice like basmati, sona masoori, kaljeera and many more.His prices are also very reasonable whether for cooked food or raw meat/fish/chicken.I love this place which i found recently and I will be a regular customer for fish, goat meat and shami kebab.They will cook chicken/beef/goat meat for you at an additional cost of $10 if you buy from them, they use fresh spices to cook them and not the packed ones.I bought goat liver last week and it came out to be very good. The goat meat was of excellent quality, fresh young goat and clean not like the old regular frozen ones that other stores sell. They will even mince the meat for you whether beef/goat.I wish him the Very Best!

They have Halal fresh meat and chicken.. You can order cooked meal on request. Great grocery and restaurant. Friendly staff.

I discovered this little market while trying to learn to cook some Indian dishes. The owner was very kind and helped me find what I needed. I've gone back and tried the beef biryani and samosas and they were delicious. Definitely recommend.

Such a good business everything is clean and so is the meat it's clean and fresh as well as the fish. I couldn't believe how I didn't know this place before. The men here are very kind and helpful! I will be back to buy some meat and fish !

Let me first start by saying I found this place by accident and I'm so glad I did. Mohammad and his staff are amazing. Their biryani rice and samosas are homemade and out of this world. the beef is top notch and we'll priced. The tea he offered was next level. I'm blown away by the quality of food they are providing. Thanks mohammad.

Mela is a great Halal meat market. They also do catering. Recently the catered for my daughter’s birthday party for about 200 people. The service and the food was amazing and freshly cooked. If you want to taste authentic BANGLADESHi food choose Mela for your next party.
