I cannot recommend working at IEHP, particularly in their Medicare member services department. My personal experience was deeply negative, marked by bullying and a violation of my autonomy when I was coerced into getting the COVID-19 vaccine under the threat of termination. Despite dedicating nearly five years to the company, I was left disillusioned and disheartened.Initially, I had a positive experience in their medical member services division, thanks to an amazing manager and supervisor who were consistently supportive. However, upon transitioning to Medicare member services, I encountered a new management team that seemed to harbor animosity towards me from the outset.Despite my efforts, I found myself subjected to a scrutiny of my phone calls, culminating in the resurrection of an older call where I had admittedly made a mistake. While I hoped for understanding, given it was my first violation of the call avoidance policy, my fate was left to a Human Resources employee who, regrettably, chose to terminate my employment without offering any explanation. This abrupt dismissal left me feeling devalued and disposable, especially considering I had previously received commendation from the CEO himself for the quality of my phone interactions. In summary, my time at IEHP ended on a sour note, overshadowing any aspirations I had for a lasting career with the company.

Horrible. They wouldn't let me select my doctor even though he is on their plan. When I called them, they said I couldn't see him for a month because I changed PCP during the month. That was because they wouldn't let me pick him when I signed up!!! I finally saw him and had a lab test done. IEHP rejected the claim! I was on the phone with 2 different IEHP reps for about 1 hour. They were both horrible. They kept denying there was a problem and told me it was either the lab test company's fault or that denying the claim is normal because I had just switched to IEHP. I finally called the lab test company. In less than 5 minutes, they told me they had my IEHP insurance info including member number but IEHP rejected the claim anyway. Why, oh why, are IEHP reps so bad? The first one even hung up on me. I finally called IEHP back a third time and spoke with a supervisor. She was much better. She said the claim rejection is a problem and that the other 2 reps should not have treated me like that. She finally apologized to me. Avoid IEHP at all costs. Horrible.

Member Services is member harassment. Takes them five minutes of annoying recordings before you can speak to a person. Then they want your birthdays, social security number, phone number, address and that takes another 10 minutes. They still wouldn't give me the authorization number to see a specialist my primary referred me to! Another time they made me take an ineffective inhaler that gave me thrush, then I needed another medication to fix that problem. Plus the inhaler didn't help me! And they don't want to cover a medication that helps me because I had my birthday and turned 65! I have used this medication for years and it was covered, now they deny me coverage! IEHP plays games with helping its members. They seem to be on a power trip and their survey does not reflect how many times they are not helping their members! They need to track ALL of the calls, not just the ones they complete with their members! I have called four times for the authorization number and they still won't give it to me!UPDATE: It just wouldn't be right if I didn't update my review post about the new and very improved IEHP. Best healthcare ever! They now are answering the phones much quicker and I get to speak with a very helpful staff member. Plus, they stay on the phone and will call other people on my behalf to clear up any issues right then and there! All in one phone call. Everyone has been exceptionally kind, caring, patient and very helpful. All of you are doing a fabulous job of representing and serving your IEHP members. I am super satisfied!!! Thank you so much.

IEHP is absolutely horrible. They are nothing but window dressing, nothing inside. Most member service staff are poorly trained, incompetent invasive, rude, make up their own rules randomly. They refuse to allow you to make contact with the department you request. Everything the website promises is a lie. They require PC appointment for everything but have very short lists of providers known to be incompetent. I have several medical issues that are going unchecked. If I had a tumor, I'd be dead just from the endless hours spent on the phone most of which is on hold.I have filed numerous grievances and contacted office of the ombudsman. No improvement.

Lousy. Outdated doctors led me to 2 months of hassle and cutting off controlled substances for weeks, cold turkey very dangerous

If giving no stars was an option I would give none to IEHP! I am beyond words at how disgusting and horrible the medical directors of this health insurance company are. These directors are collecting a comfortable salary while they sit at their desks denying patients the care they need.I have been seeking continuance of care approval from the medical director(s) for over a month for a critical condition that I have been under going extensive care for over 1.5 years (prior to unknowingly being transferred to IEHP in October). I have put in everything from referrals to appeals to continuance of care requests to expedited requests. Every time I call in I’m being told the requests can take 72 hrs to 15 days depending on the request being submitted. When I follow up on the request, I am being told I have been denied and put in another request or appeal. At one point I was told an appeal was necessary that a continuance of care is what needed to be submitted. It has been a month and 6 days playing their back and forth game and still nothing. When I ask for an explanation, they have none. When I ask what are the requirements that are followed to approve my request, I check every box according to the representative completing my request. So then why am I being denied?I spent 2 hours today on the phone being transferred to I don’t know 4 or 5 different representatives telling me I can submit an expedited appeal once again. Oh but the expedited part will need to be approved. If approved I can potentially get a response in 72 hours, if not I will have to wait 30 days.I have rescheduled my surgery 3 times dues to this nonsense. To top it off I have an appointment with my surgeon coming Monday (3rd appt made with her) just to be told to wait and see. When requesting an email or direct number of the deciding medical director, the minions answering the phone say they can’t provide that but can keep transferring me from one minion to another telling that the next one is more superior in rank than the previous. In the end they are all just minions and have no power to help you. Today I have had it with the company and it’s team of minions and directors.IEHP is not for anyone who has any ongoing health issues. They will never help you unless you are dying and even that I have zero faith that even that will constitute as a matter they will approve your care for.

They don't care about their employees. They choose when you get to go on vacation/take time off. They basically control your life. My perfectly fine sister was accused by L&D of having “issues”. Very unprofessional L&D/HR department. Thanks to this company, my perfectly fine sister’s mental health is not ok. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU.

I called IEHP on behalf of my disabled brother to get information on how to sign him up for transportation to/from doctor appointment/home. The staff member, Rebecca (I think) was very knowledgeable of the program and answered all my questions well. I really appreciate her help and am happy that I, at my mid 60's, could learn things daily. IEHP available services make my remote assistance to my family member easier and more effective.

CTC is getting five stars but what happened today while I was calling a doctors office is getting 1 STAR. Yes I’m putting it out here, that the doctors office number is a incoming call lookinf like a scammer number and that scammer number is asking for text messages of forms to be sent to that number but IEHP has the number listed as the doctors office in the form they send through the mail. Also the number isn’t going to get answers by patients if it’s looking like a scammer number. No one will be getting their return phone called from this doctors office employee. Because they patient isn’t going to answer her cell phone call if it looks like a scammer call on their incoming calls list. Or on their cell phone as it comes in IEHP isn’t getting a call from me about this, they can read this here, I’m going in person to IEHP to discuss too because it’s bad that it happened. Because I missed a call and didn’t know it was her until I listened to her voicemail. It’s more of an issue that she uses her cell phone for work rather than the actual number at the docs office location like a landline number would be best to use. And also NO one should be sending authorization forms to a cell number that the doctors office is supposedly using for its employee if it fact it’s even a person working for the doctors office.. which I’m concerned about due to the HIPPA rules..

This place is an embarrassment!!! Staff and higher ups are all sick and twisted people!!! IEHP loves to bring extreme chaos to your life but what do they care. As long as it's not their family being messed with right?!!! I am extremely unsatisfied, repulsed, and embarrassed for this company.
