One of the things I miss most after moving from Michigan to California is the Ford specialist shop, Oval Auto in Livonia, MI, where I used to go. It wasn’t just a place that replaced parts; they analyzed the root causes of issues and improved the vehicle, based on rich experience and their love of mustangs which I really appreciated.
For about a year, I tried various repair shops and Mustang shops around my new home in CA, but my car seemed to be in worse condition.
Then, I found this place, and after about a year of service with them, I feel like I’ve found a great shop worth sticking with. It’s about an hour and a half from my home, but it's worth the drive. Ricardo and his staff are diligent and sincere, and they respect my car. They explain the issues in a way that even someone like me can understand. With each visit, my car's lifespan seems to increase.
Even though my car is an inexpensive car, it has great personal meaning to me, so I’m happy that I can continue driving my Mustang for a long time with the help of this shop. Thank you, Ricardo and Team GTR HP. Please continue to take good care of my mustang.

I have dealt with this shop since 2020 and have heard nothing but a bunch of stories from these guys why something went wrong, they are unreliable, unresponsive to their customers you call and they leave you on hold for 30 mins or so, I might not have spend Tens of thousands of dollars at this shop but I spend my share of what I was asked to pay for work being done to my vehicle this shop made me buy parts I didn't even need because they couldn't diagnose a simple problem, they wasted my time and money that I'll never get back for a shop that's so good at oil changes it sucks to hear that you guys don't do half of your own work and outsource everything and charge double and have countless of times failed to provide good quality work. I am disappointed and hurt that you guys kept my vehicle for 2 months and didn't fix a thing to me and lied to me about working on my vehicle I drove home with breaks on a stretch of 50 miles and all you could say so sorry I hope your kids never experience what you have done to some of your customers karma comes around. If you are looking for quality work and does in a timely fashion I recommended gio's performance.

Took my GT500 here to have a Steeda Stop the Hop kit installed and also some dyno runs. These guys only work on Mustangs and really seem to know them inside and out, old and new. I recommend them if you have a Mustang. Will use them again even though I live about 45 minutes away.

Awesome experience with owners Ricardo and Dave. They took time out of their day to try and help me with my 91 ford check engine issues and were extremely patient and friendly thru out the process and refused to even take any monies for their time. Great group of people and recommend them to anyone needing help with their car

Found this shop on yelp and was planning to do my future mods w/ them. Gave them a try first, ordered lowering springs & clutch spring for my 19 mustang gt from them. Took a whole day for install and on my home had issues already (clanks and knocks on my front suspension). Also got charged for clutch spring installation w/c i installed myself, since they didn't have time for it. Reached back to them for my lowering springs issues but as always theyre booked and packed as I was told. So yeah, negative 1st exp. Won't go back. Hit or miss
