“They are not seeing sick people... I have a negative covid-19 test, and need to be tested for strep, but I was told they are not seeing any upper respiratory. Since when do doctors not see sick people?

I wrote this review after almost a week of having had a nasty infection, dealing with exhaustion and lack of appetite. I called into the main line, and was told by the front desk I would have to be seen by phone because they are seeing no one with upper respiratory symptoms. The prospect of being forced to go to an urgent care center when I just tested negative for covid felt unfair and intimidating. I initially gave 1 star after the original call with the appt clerk and resulting disappointment.

That was premature. Dr Singh called me back promptly, and went through my symptoms. Apparently they deal with quite a few elderly patients, which made more sense. He put in for bloodwork as well as a prescription. I felt he did his due diligence. Revised the review as a result.

Made my husband an appointment today for a possible broken rib/muscle strain. Unfortunately, Rancho Wellness was unable to do much, we got one referral for an xray and another for blood work. After driving to Grove Diagnostic in Rancho per the instructions given to us, we were told by the location that they decided not to take walk ins any longer. Their website has not been updated yet. And their first appointment was for almost 3 weeks out... for an xray. Tried calling the 800 number. We had to wait on hold for 15 minutes to try to see what else was available but got tired and hung up. This is not including the time it will take to get blood drawn at yet another location. I realize this is not the fault of Rancho Wellness. Personally, I've never had an issue with the staff, I like PA Santa Cruz, she's been very helpful. But I do want to share my experience because if you need a quick in and out without different stops, this might not be the place for you.

3rd update

Well I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. Until the past year, I never needed to be seen but within the past year, I have been seen multiple times. The wait times are never long, and Heidi is a gem. She is amazing. She is kind, takes my concerns seriously and listens without judgement. The staff is helpful and referrals are done quickly. I have changed my review to 5 stars to reflect the qualify of the care.”
