Well if it was possible to give Estrada Dental and its owner a negative TEN STAR rating I would have, for the experience would more accurately reflect the rating. ALL MEDICAL AND DENTAL OFFICES NEEDING SUPPLIES: please let this be your word of WARNING! You will be left with nothing but remorse and frustration over saving a few bucks on equipment/repairs. Avoid all that and the constant deceit from Hank who does NOT keep his word and do not waste your time with this company.Recently had some technical issues on a DentalEZ treatment chair where the chair would go up and down, would recline but would not go all the way down to have the patient paralleled for treatment. For a small dental office with only four rooms (2 treatment, 2 hygiene), having one of your two treatment chairs become inoperative sets off an issue. Our trusted Benco repair man tried to locate the necessary components but the manufacturer had discontinued those pieces so it left us no choice on purchasing a brand new chair or looking to someone who can sell us the missing pieces at a reduced cost. At the time, Estrada Dental was recommended for they have a surplus on these chairs and would sell us the components that were required. Not sure who decided they’d be a good recommendation as I should’ve checked their existing reviews online which also reflect how terrible and incompetent they’ve been to other companies previously.Hank stated that while he can sell us the components, it would be “sooo much easier” to purchase an entire new chair instead, for he has hundreds of them sitting in a warehouse (should’ve seen where this was going and what type of business man Hank is when he initially mentioned his vast amount of chairs). We remained steadfast and tried to stay in contact with Hank to get an estimate with regards to him coming down to San Diego from Rancho Cucamonga to complete the parts repair and get our treatment room back to full operation. He dodged calls and failed to return text messages. He gave his price and we paid it but the first ominous sign that set off a red flag was setting a date to arrange the repair which was constantly delayed. We would reiterate that this chair repair is a priority for the office and the logistics of running a regular clinic/business hours and patients coming in/out from treatment and hygiene is something that needs to be managed. He delayed the repair until the day before Thanksgiving, I would say almost a full two weeks from the day of consultation.Apparently Hank decided the repair was finished when he received HIS payment because here we are, three weeks later, and the repair for the chair is still incomplete! The request for the chair switches was delayed and even until today there is no shipment and a flip-flopper about when they will arrive. Hank still fails to deliver even the most basic communication skills, and at this point we just want our money back for the inconveniences. Due to his experience and what we thought was a reliable recommendation, we decided to give them a try but our hope for a smooth restoration was short-lived. I would’ve avoided any altercations with Estrada Dental if I had known the trouble and distress it was going to cause me and my team. This experience was NOTHING of satisfaction.

For the colleagues in the dental business, we are trained as dentists and not technicians. We are usually bitter that anything sold to us in this field comes with a huuuge price hike. If you talk to a rep from schein, Patterson, etc, they want to sell you nice new equipment. So usually a single operatory with the dental chair, stools, delivery unit, will cost about $15-25k new (dci-adec). And you all know that is being modest. But with that $15-25k you get white glove delivery, all the cords tucked away, and a training session on what each button does. I'm a rather buy it and I'll figure it out type of guy, and hate paying premium for someone showing me how to regulate water pressure or programming a chair. Estrada dental sells you "Used" dental equipment. So you gotta do your own research. If you buy a chair or a chair part made in 1995, it's 25 years old!! So even if it looks new from hank, I might break on you or need a replacement part or two. So just know what you are buying. For me, we bought 7 pelton crane spirit 3000's and 3 boyd chairs. They were rewrapped in a custom green upholstery. These guys will make these chairs look brand new. The upholstery team is top notch. The pelton cranes chair I bought refurbished, but bought NEW delivery units from DCI that they installed onto the chairs. I also got a midmark air compressor, and bunch of doctor and assistant stools. Advice when buying used dental: anything with lots of moving parts: buy new or slightly used. Like delivery units. Chairs and stools: if they're new upholstery, and the hydraulic works great, why spend over triple for new? BUT!!!! Be very ready to grab a wrench or have to buy a replacement part. For example, the chair pad controls on the pelton cranes are very annoying. They work, but i spent $450 per chair to buy different foot chair controls. So be ready to spend a few bucks to fix it up more to your liking. So I spent about $10k an operatory. Yes. Some stools were weird, some chair arms swayed a bit. I swapped out some stools, and even swapped out 3 chairs because we wanted them to go "lower". Hank will give you a sweet deal, but I'd be ready to spend 10% more and some time to adjust it by yourself. So we have 10 operatories. I can get away with a chair or two needing adjustments and not being used temporarily. After everything was installed, it took like month and a half to work out kinks. If you buy new, that may be like 2 weeks. Darin, who installed everything, is a very knowledgeable guy. He runs around and fixes and installs everything, but is usually super busy! But again, know you are buying "used". It's not for everybody. But I feel we saved about 100k. So with that saved money, we were able to buy a NEW CBCT machine. If you are pretty handy your self and can adjust some dental chair issues yourself, go with hank. If you don't know how to swap out a 3 way syringe, or tighten a swinging radius arm, maybe better to pay the premium and buy new. But I am very pleased I went with estrada dental. Just remember! Do your own research! See for yourself the pix of their handy work!

Recently bought a used Airstar 50 compressor from him. The owner Hank had told me the equipment is pretty much brand new and in perfect shape, so I bought it. After a few months in the compressor started to malfunction and would not maintain steady pressure. Called him about the problem, promised he would send his technician to take a look within the week. Few weeks go by, no response. Called again, told me same thing, another few weeks go by and still no response. This goes on for the next few months, until finally I got fed up and called another company (Pearson) to send technicians to fix the problem. They came in and noticed the internal wiring of the compressor was all wrong, and told me they needed to take apart the whole thing to fix it. The unit was missing it's manufacturer Vin number so they couldn't ask the manufacturer for additional support either. At this point I'm worried if this product was possibly stolen, and also super pissed I paid good money for a clearly defective product. I ended up having to pay the Pearson technician service fee and they couldn't even fix the thing. I call Hank again and leave him a pretty aggressive voice mail explaining what the Pearson techs had told me. He finally responds and tells me that he has been busy and had to hire a new technician, hence the delay in service. Told me the equipment is still under his warranty and he would replace it if his techs can't fix it. Fine, I schedule a appointment again hoping that he would keep his word this time. Long story short his new tech finally shows up! Looks at the compressor and tells me it's no good (go figures). He replaces the compressor with the exact same model they had at their warehouse and assures me that this one works since he just tested it the morning before he brought. Great! Took forever and a lot of headaches but now I finally have a working compressor that I should have had months ago in the first place when I initially bought one from him. Problem solved right? Nope. The owner Hank has the audacity to send me a bill for a service fee. F-ing unbelievable. This all could have been avoided if you didn't lie to me and sell me a defective product! I still had some needs for dental equipment, but you could kiss this customer good-bye. BTW his new tech was really cool and helpful. Kudos to him.
