I'll start with the good. Chuze is clean and the staff are friendly. Now for the bad. There's well over 100 people on average here daily anytime of the day (often times more) with about 2 machines for each type of workout on average to accommodate your workout amongst all those people. They don't have the equipment to accommodate the amount of people they've sold passes too. So if you don't mind waiting 20 minutes for each machine and delaying a 45 min workout to about an hour and a half then this is the gym for you. Me personally, I sit and wait 20 minutes for each machine I wanna use or I simply give up like I did today and didn't get to finish my workout. This is chuze (and most gyms) summed up in a nutshell. I wish I could afford home equipment

I like chuze, it's cute. BUT they have a "no gym bags" policy. That's kind of ghetto lol. Like I have all my gym attachments and wipes that I need on the floor but bags aren't allowed. Girl bye.

ChuzeGold while not a Silver Sneakers class This class by Jennifer Gust does work not just on weight bearing exercise but also on balance, range of motion and cardio What I especially love about Jennifer is she does care about our form and does help us improve form for maximizing our workout benefits

Pros: The actual gym is nice, big, very clean. Wipes are everywhere and most people that go to this gym are respectful and clean up after themselves. They offer a variety of classes at different times. Body pump and Zumba are my favorite classes. Team Training is a good workout. The trainers for all the classes I've attended are great, very friendly and encouraging: Body pump, zumba, team training, pound fitness, body attack. The hydromassage chairs are awesome. (the room they're in always smells like a can of bounce that azz though.. they should spray some Lysol in there every once in a while) No comments on the pools/sauna areas, I never use them but the dry sauna is always full of people and very cramped. I find it awkward because it's usually men. you're supposed have no shoes in there but everyone wears their shoes and is fully clothed. The steam sauna was down both times when I went to check it out, it seems like it's unavailable a lot. Cons: I have the premium membership where you get Team Training (HIIT) classes up to $150 value as advertised on the website. What's misleading is that it doesn't say how many classes exactly you get... I did 2 classes and then I ran out of paid sessions. You have to get the Premium and More membership to get unlimited Team Training and Yoga. I get they're trying to make their money but they should clearly advertise how many Team Training sessions you actually get with the premium membership. I enjoyed the classes but not enough to justify the "and more" membership, I can do yoga and the HIIT on my own. The front desk staff: I got a guest pass and the front desk told me in order for my friend to get her referral points we both had to be there in-person. I had 2 days left of my guest membership, but since my friend was going out of town I decided to sign up so she could get her points. You can refer someone on the Chuze app so the front desk claiming you can only do this in-person is misleading and frankly, annoying, but since they were the actual gym employees we went with what they said. 1. They didn't give my friend her referral points until after 3 visits. We came back 3 separate times to address this. The first time, when I actually signed up, the employee told us that because we both scanned our passes my friend should get her points. She did not. We came back and told someone else, points still weren't added. We came back ANOTHER time and a very nice guy said he'd leave a note for the manager to add the points, still didn't get added. Finally, when we came back the last time an employee manually added in the points. It was a convoluted, frustrating process that wasted everyone's time when this last employee just added in the points. WTF. 2. You can refer someone on the app... so the employees either A) didn't know this or B) are being pushed to sign people up in person, but then not give points or don't know how to?? So I missed out on 2 free days. Another thing that annoyed me is that when I first started attending classes I thought you had to check in at the front (this was before I knew you just input your phone number in the machine outside of the classroom). I was 1 minute late for a Team Training and one of the front desk girls told me I couldn't attend... This rule is true for yoga, but for the other classes the instructors don't care, as long as you're able to check in on the tablet you can go in (it locks out after a certain amount of time, not sure what.) Maybe she was enforcing policy, but it was very frustrating because I probably could've checked in on the tablet and taken the class. If there was no fiasco with my friend's referral points and not being misled with the Team Training I would rate this gym 5/5.

Poor customer service. Rude reception and felt like I was talking to a collection agent. I'm canceling my membership.

In their website, they say that family is the core of who they are, but they don't offer a family plan: for example if husband and wife wants to go together they could pay as a whole and not separate. Of course if they pay a premium of $26.99, together they could pay $50 as an incentive for the family. I like the gym but I think they need to have more options in their plans because I see parents and their sons/daughters going together. Also, I have had bad experience with some of the customer service people at front. Some of them are very rude and with arrogant attitude when explaining any doubts I had, so I think they need to be retrained (at Rancho Cucamonga location near vineyard).

I've had about every gym membership that you could think of and Chuze has been the best by far. The employees always greet me when I come in and some are starting to recognize me and start having conversations with me that make me feel at home and like I have community here. It is always clean as the employees are constantly walking around and cleaning up. It is never an intimidating atmosphere and I feel safe leaving here late at night. The price and amenities cannot be beat.

It's employees like Joshua who make me feel like I am a valued member of Chuze fitness. He is genuine in the way he treats people. He is a problem-solver. He represents Chuze well! My front desk experience is always great if he is there. It feels good to belong to a gym where employees show interest in the growth and success of gym members.

I was a given a guest pass to try out the gym for the week but I had weird encounter with the staff to try out the gym for the week. They wouldn't let me workout even though I had guest pass. The experience kind of ruined my impression with this gym.
