I used to frequent this store twice a week, spending over $200 each time on 2 cases of cucumber and 1 case of avocado. Today, on May 3, 2024, at 9:00 AM, when I attempted to purchase one case of avocado and two cases of cucumber at the Smart and Final located at 2344 Sunrise Blvd, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670, I found the avocado case not fully stocked and the avocados were soft. As I tried to select green avocados to fill my case, an employee approached me, treating me like a thief despite my explanation. To my shock, he claimed to be the store manager and began yelling at me, accusing me of theft, causing me great embarrassment and distress. In response, I informed him that I no longer wished to purchase the avocado, expressing my disappointment that a loyal customer who spends a significant amount in the store is treated with such disrespect. His yelling and dismissive remark of 'who cares about losing customers like you' further underscores his lack of regard for customer satisfaction. It's appalling that someone with such a hostile attitude is in a position of management. I was so frustrated that I forgot to ask for the manager's name. Nonetheless, I have decided not to patronize Smart and Final for my sushi restaurant any longer. I will also be reporting this incident to Smart and Final's corporate office."

Great store, they have a unique friendly always willing to help staff. The LARGE 3 pound "Chicken's" are freshly oven baked and beat Costco's chickens for taste. Never have been disappointed...Fresh flowers that look great after a week!

I was today here - store # 2344. 12/09/2023, at 2 pm. Sacramento , CA. I’ll ask one employee about password from restroom, she was very angry - when my mother in law wait for her - that employee open door and just smash door.. I never saw so angry customer service . I’m very upset … I don’t now what happens with smart$final. Hope some from management will explained for them whey should be polite with customers (((

I absolutely love this store I come in every night and do all of my shopping here. They make me feel so welcome and are more than helpful. All of the staff is so sweet and make me feel like family. The food is always fresh and deals are great and the store is always clean. Taylor, Mystique and Tina are my favorite people there. The amount of patience these staff members have for the type of crowd that comes in there because they are located in Rancho is commendable I couldn't do it. I'm seeing all these horrible reviews on here and I'm thinking it's not fair because of what these employees put up with and most of the bad reviews are probably the "crowd from Rancho" I was referring too if you catch my meaning. There is a serious "problem" cough cough in this city which makes certain individuals act the way they do and take out there problems on the staff of smart and final and it isn't fair. Keep working hard y'all I love this store and always will!

Front cashier was rude, unprofessional and refused to do a price check because she was running late for her lunch! Re-train front end cashier with the attitude problem how to assist customers! Didn't get her name because her nasty attitude made me rush and leave but we went on a Sunday about 3pm! Tattooed and nose ring with Curley hair and nasty attitude! Just GROSS!

I've had back to back trouble with this Location. This is the SECOND TIME i've called and asked them about their stock of a certain item, for them to pick up, and "check" and tell me they have it only for me to drive out of my way to come to this location and not find the item. For example, i've come here to buy Hennesy VSOP PRIVILEGE. NOTE: the privilege is very important because there's a difference between Hennesy VSOP compared to Hennesy VSOP privilege. They made this mistake before telling me they have it available so i drove 30+ minutes to this location to buy it only for them to tell me they don't have it. Whatever, however today I called ahead of time to ask if they have it. The woman on the phone goes ahead and tells me they have 1 left in stock. I go ahead and tell her in these exact words "can you go make sure it says "PRIVELEGE" on the bottle (or box). Because people often get it mixed up with regular Hennessy VSOP. So make sure it says PRIVELEGE PLEASE" and she leaves me on hold for a few minutes to come back and confirm that they do have it. So I head on over there in less than 5 minutes of the call and get someone to help me only for them to again Not have it. At this point i'm frustrated, i ask the man employee who was helping me look for it to go ahead and find me whoever i talked to on the phone because clearly they said they found the "correct" bottle i was looking for. He then told me there's not really a customer service and it's probably just the cashiers and so he goes ahead and asks the cashiers if they knew of the item i was asking. One of the cashiers clearly said "The one that said privilege, that's the bottle right behind the cut out" SO CLEARLY, SHE DIDNT CHECK THE BOX NOR THE ACTUAL BOTTLE. AND ASSUMED the bottle behind the Cutout of the correct item was it. WHEN I ASKED HER MULTIPLE TIMES on the call beforehand if she could confirm if it was the right bottle. only to find out she was incompetent and clearly didn't take any effort to actually look at it for herself. THIS HAPPENED TWICE. TWICE. How ridiculous and frustrating.

Great produce. Good prices. They have a good selection of flours and you can get good flour in large quantities for a decent price. They also have a selection of restaurant utensils and containers. The staff is very friendly as well.
