It's been great getting a quick cheap bite all these years without a membership due to the food court being outdoors. We all knew this was coming down the line eventually. T_T Starting April 8th, membership needed for food court.

So I pulled into the parking lot at 8:27. They stopped letting people in at 8:30. By the time I parked, and grabbed a cart from the parking lot to bring to the front, I got there and the entrance door had been closed. It was literally 831. I could see the guys at the exit and I asked them and they said sorry we close at 8:30 and I was like that was like 30 seconds ago! I only had two things to get. I am here twice a week. This is absolutely ridiculous! I work in the customer service industry, and I could understand if I needed to get a whole months worth of groceries. But it wasn't that. It was a very quick in and out, and I guarantee I would've been done before the people that are still in there we're done. Perhaps I'll start going to the one in Folsom because this is not acceptable. Lame! Calvin Crawford

*Updated nearly 9 years later!* Still one of the best Costco's in the area. I prefer to get there right at opening as you can get in and out pretty fast. While the area is growing quickly, there is still ample parking and last year they debuted their new and much larger (!) gas station! This Costco is a must visit!

Ah, the grand stage of Costco--the retail arena where I don't hand out four or five stars like confetti at a parade. No, sir. It takes something unexpected, something that makes my shopping cart do a happy dance. Yet, if you're on the prowl for a shopping haven that delivers the goods (literally), this Costco is the hero of the tale. Sure, it's a hive of activity, busier than a beehive during peak honey season. But fret not, the treasures within are worth the hustle if time is your sidekick. Enter the kingdom of cleanliness, a rarity in the realm of perpetual bustle. The staff, the unsung heroes of retail, pull off their duties with a courteous finesse that's almost poetic. Now, here comes the twist--those legendary Costco hotdogs are quarantined in a window outside. Rain or shine, you'll find yourself in a hotdog limbo, a conundrum only seasoned Costco goers truly understand. But, fear not, it's a tactical move. It eliminates the snack-induced traffic jams within, a cunning strategy. And brace yourself for checkout--no three-day soirees here. There's a battalion of cashiers, each swifter than the Easter Bunny during egg season. Time is of the essence, especially when hotdogs are in the equation. All in all, the experience isn't a rollercoaster of horrors. If the mood strikes, dive in. Just make sure you've got some time on your hands because even the handicap spots are playing hard to get. The buzzing, the brisk pace, and the constant motion all scream one thing--this is Costco at its finest, a high-traffic symphony where lines move at a pace that makes even the roadrunner nod in approval.

This is the Costco we visit the most. We like to Park on the side where there is always ample parking and not a lot of traffic. (Uh oh, I hope I didn't give away my secret lol). Seems like even when the store is super busy, it's still pretty relatively easy to navigate throughout the store. I like that! The deals you get at Costco are always amazing, yet, when you check out your bill is always a bazillion dollars hahha. But you know where you can really save? The food court! Love that food court, saved my thoughts on this portion of Costco on a separate review of the food court. A shout out to all the staff! As long as we have been going here (around 3-4 years straight now) every staff we have encountered has been pretty darn nice and courteous! These guys do it right!! Kidos to the upper management for hiring great team members and for their great training! Ok, that's all I have to say about that (for now). Oh, actually, the only thing I wish they had was either the Nissin, Maruchan or Nongshim Bowl cup Ramens!! I don't care for the instant ramen they sell there :(. If they had either one of the above ramen I mentioned, oh man, I would give this place 6 stars :)

Costco is amazing! Kind staff, good samples, clean floors, good quality clothes. It has everything you could imagine also! Like, educational things, gaming things, entertainment things. Way more! And the Costco food where they sell pizzas and hotdogs and way more things, it's really good! And half of the stuff there is good quality things for low prices. That is all I really wanted to say, bye!

The extra time I spend driving to this location is worth it. Friendliest staff around! The day before Christmas Eve I got a flat tire before exiting the freeway. Dom, Isaiah and the whole tire crew were EXCEPTIONAL! They were unable to repair my tire, but rather than try to sell me tires I didn't need, they put on a loaner and told me to go back to where I bought them for a single tire. What could have been a high-stress situation during an already stressful time, left me near tears with gratitude. This quality of customer service is not limited to the tire center. Every employee is smiling and helpful. I LOVE this Costco!

Apparently Rick, the store manager, doesn't feel that he is accountable for his actions, or should I say inactions. He initially, intentionally tried to avoid eye contact with me because I needed help. I guess because he was too busy. After confirming he was the store manager, I explained that I was having trouble with a Costco gift card. He misread the documentation I showed him that said "for use in costco and costco.com." He tried to say it's only for costco.com as he was looking around not being attentive to my needs. I pleaded with him for help by manually entering the numbers in. He refused. He said it's not the store policy to enter numbers in manually. He said to call the number because he doesn't deal with these things. I said that's it? No help at all? He was not interested in helping me. This all happened with little to zero eye contact with me. He apparently was too busy to help me "Pay" for groceries that I had spent an hour or so gathering. I left the cart by him and he walked away. He showed no interest or common courtesy in my needs as a Gold member. Well Rick, you failed. I suggest shopping somewhere else for your items. This Costco was rude and even the customer reps who were masked and showed a nonapologetic attitude were rude. Someone needs to clean house here......

I've only visited this Costco once, and we enjoyed our time there. In their opinion, my kids like their croissants more than any other location because theirs is crispier. We came on a weekday, so perhaps I have the wrong impression, but the food court seemed pretty orderly and not so crowded. My only negative is that it's quite dim in the aisles. More light would be nice.

I would not want to be stuck in the lives led by most of the employees at this store. They are very full of themselves and do not give a shit about others. I have heard their conversations of womanizing and saying other degrading things about their customers. I have met a couple of nice people there and I feel sorry for them. If you, ask how I can say these things, I tell you that I briefly worked there as a seasonal worker before taking leave on my own accord (recognizing I was not a match for their practices). My wife shops there about twice a month and tells me how she is either treated poorly or witnesses others in conflict with these employees. Unfortunately, she does not want to travel the extra city miles to the next nearest (this being within 1 mile). Tonight they threw money at her when she asked for a refund on the pizza. Of course she asked for her money back after they gave away the 1 pizza to a different customer, then told her she would have to wait another 35min. The time before this they came up with new "rules" about which items stay in the cart and which go on the belt. BUT it's the way they tell you, not the service to the customer which is what I take exception to. I suspect they are being discriminating to my wife, just because the absolutely poor human beings they are. They could have been respectful to my her, but instead made it into a bigger deal. Next time I will be going on the grocery shop with my wife.

We don't come to this Costco location often, but we were in the area and needed a few items. During this visit they had all the winter items out including blankets, candles, sweaters, cardigans and lots of holiday items. We browsed the aisles and the big thing I needed was printer ink. We found that easily and luckily, since I bought my printer from Costco at the start of the year they had the correct ink readily available. They had a lot of clothing options at this location and I ended up grabbing a couple cardigans at a great price. I was also thrilled to find my favorite winter treat, the white chocolate & peppermint pretzel crisps that were on special for $3 off per bag. I bought ten bags!! (That was the limit) this is my favorite Costco find for the holidays. We also ended up getting gas while we were here and the pumps weren't too congested.

I come here at least twice a month and this last time my husband was racially profiled. We pay for our items everything is fine as usual. We forget an item, my husband goes back in ALONE to find the item to purchase. He goes to self checkout and he has 1 White guy in front of him and another behind him so close he can feel his breath, mind you he is not the only person in self-checkout, but definitely the only Black person in self-checkout. So let me guess he is the "safe Black guy" with his family, but becomes a thief alone? Ridiculous that it's 2023 and we still have to deal with this.

Five. Stars all the way. How does this place have four stars on average? I question the discernment of the one who gives this place less than five stars. Did they punch your mother in the face? Are you comparing it to Jesus Costco? You can return your vacuum cleaner from three years ago because your dog to the cord and they will give you your money back. Yet you give them less than five stars. Take a look in the mirror. Do you think you are wise? Was it the soda and hotdog for $1.50 that caused you to give less than five stars? Please let us know where you work that we may come to your place and judge you. There is one time where I didn't ring up a product in the self checking in the person at the front caught it. I commend you. meanwhile Walmart has shaving cream behind lock and key. Costco keep doing what you're doing.

I love the gas station and the grocery part of it. Most of the people I encounter are friendly, but man, this chick at the food court has no manners! The girl was just mean and disrespectful. I ordered 2 chicken bakes and the girl who punched it when I was checking out my grocery made some mistakes that she voided items and I was confused as heck. The check-out lady was a bit confused and said that they charged me for pizza and a chicken bake. I even said, I didn't want any pizza, but if I paid for it, of course I'll take it. I went to the pick-up line and they were trying to figure out what was going on, so the girl came to the window and started talking, and I said, the check-out lady said I have 2 items to pick-up from here, and she said "Don't cut me off because I want to explain" with a freaking attitude and tone I did not appreciate, and I said "I just want you to know what I was told". That right there is effed up customer effing service! If the customer is confused, assist them and tell them the best way possible instead of talking to them that way! You're the face of the company and man, this def makes the company look bad. I still love Costco, but this girl better check herself out. If you're not happy with the job, look elsewhere.

The best update is the new gas station at this older Costco in Rancho Cordova. The latest add-on of the gas station is not as busy as another Costco gas station in the Sacramento area. This Costco store itself is one of the oldest stores in the Sacramento area. It looks outdated. But the store is still spotless and well organized inside. This is a less crowded Costco. I enjoyed shopping here more than in some jam-packed Costco stores. I can spend time with the items I'm interested in without feeling rushed. The shopping experience is better than most Costco, especially on the weekends. The food court is in the outdoor area in front of the store. Very uncomfortable! I don't think I can enjoy my food right next to the driveway in a busy parking lot. I'll probably just order to go at this location only!
