One of the folks at this location replaced the neck gasket on my Kokatat dry suit. It was done very quickly, keeps me completely dry, and for a very reasonable rate. With labor, pets and tax, around $100 and I have some spare aqua seal for future repairs as needed. If you have the tools and time to do it yourself they also have the gaskets in stock for a great price.I highly recommend this shop- they also had some good advice on re-outfitting my older whitewater boat and generally just seem like nice people!

I was looking for H-Rails for my Hobie Lynx and Stephan went out of his way to locate them at a different store, and had them sent to the Sacramento store to make it easier for me to purchase the H-Rails. This was no ordinary transaction because as of 6/5/22 this part is nearly impossible to get anywhere in the US. Stephan took the time to call me and keep my updated on progress in locating and shipping, and let me know when they arrived and when I could pick up the H-Rails. Most importantly, when I went in to get them, he actually acted like he appreciated my business (not like the other major Kayak (City) seller in town who could care less if you come in to the store and whether you buy or not). I am so glad the CA Canoe & Kayak is open and I want everyone to know that this business is the place to buy your canoe/kayak stuff and things as they actually treat you like a valued customer, and will go out of their way to get what you need.

Wonderful place by appointment only. Main location Oakland but they ship the kayaks and accessories here for pick up.Keith and Sou are great!

Keith is amazing! He went above and beyond to help me and my husband pick out the perfect kayaks! He was very patient with all of my questions and was a wealth of information. He definitely knows his products and I liked that. We were out on the water within a week. Thank you!!!

I couldn't find my whitewater helmet, so I figured I could just stop at CCK and pick up a rental, or worst case buy a new one. Since it's off season for whitewater, most of the inventory was shifted to the Oakland store, but the manager called around to see if they had the size I wanted in the outpost, which is closed or another location. There was nothing available, so he grabbed one of his helmets from storage for me to use for the day, which allowed me time to purchase a new helmet and have it transferred or shipped. Thank you CCK for saving my day of whitewater kayaking.

Steve and Francis were knowledgable, organized and very encouraging, which helped me a great deal. With their help, this hulking 62-year-old managed to learn how to same himself should his kayak capsize. Very enjoyable class that gave me the confidence to get out into the Bay on my own.
