Bad experience. The saleswoman looked at us in a bad way the entire time, really a very bad vibe.

Affordable Treasures is one of my favorite places to stop on my way to Julian. Such a cute store with so many different items. I have been able to buy almost everyone on my Christmas list something special and local.

I’ve only learned about this store a year ago and I’m completely in love. It is the perfect store to go but that sisters or mothers birthday gift! They have many small shops in there ranging from homemade soaps, aromas, jewlery, ornaments, sewed items for the kitchen, wild west section and more.... it really is a cute place to support our local vendors.

Let's start with the obvious. The reviews posted seem like they are worded to promote the place. They don't sound like actual shoppers. Maybe family, friends and neighbors wrote them. Plus they are so far off the mark about this place they have to be phony. I went in today for a simple Christmas gift. This place is so cluttered and crowded and junky that it makes it hard to focus in on anything. There was no one to offer help except for the cashier who was helping someone (I'll get to the horrible checkout process in a moment here). This place is good if you need a gift for someone like your old granny. It's just piles of junky tchotchkes. Most of it is crap you'd buy at a place like Michael's then go at it with glue gun and bedazzler. The jewelry isn't quite at a level where you could even consider it costume jewelry. More like junky stuff from a yard sale quite frankly. And finally the check out experience. Each order is SLOWLY (I MEAN SLOWLY) HAND WRITTEN INTO A LEDGER. The cashier apparently has an extreme case of ADHD getting this done. A 2 minute process took like 7. Then comes step two. They look at the written ledger and one by one enter the price into a cash register from Costco circa 1982. Finally, once that is done the order is then processed on a mini iPad (that needing cleaning and sanitizing) to the Square app. Wow!! Do they not realize that Square can manage all of their inventory? That it can keep a log for each separate artists sales while tracking inventory? And that it can process each sales transaction. You have the app already. Just use it correctly. Hello!!! It is 1983 at the check out counter!!!!!! LOL The experience checking out was bad. What They might call shabby chic in their merchandise is, frankly, just shabby. This place is a complete miss...

I always have such a delightful experience every time I stop by this shop. I love the beauty of how the shop is arranged. This is my new go to store for gift shopping. I might not always get what I intend to buy but that's because I'll discover something so much cooler! And you really can't beat the prices! Oh, and Karen is a peach and is very helpful. So blessed to come across this gem. :)

This is such a cool little store with SO much variety - items from so many vendors in one place, at very reasonable prices. Candles, jewelry, crafts, cards, you name it. Affordable Treasures is the PERFECT place to do shopping for gifts. Admittedly my first purchase wasn't a gift but a purchase for myself: a nice heavy-duty wooden pet gate for my front patio. I'm not into retail therapy but I must admit I love visiting Affordable Treasures. The folks that work here are super nice and there's no pressure to buy. You can always find something for that hard-to-shop for person. Or for yourself! :)
