Dave and his friend sold me the vehicle I have now, and it couldn't have been the perfect timing. I have gotten an oil change, a tune up so far and the car runs great considering how many miles it has. Dave and his team have been attentive, honest, kind, and fair! Dave is a very kind and generous person. He has helped a stranger to get back on their feet without hesitation, or questions. I am thankful to have met him and his team and will always take my vehicle to Action Auto for any auto needs!

My dad recently used Action Auto Care and cannot stop raving about the service he received. He said Dave (the owner) was so honest and respectful, something hard to find these days. He went above and beyond in his care with his car. Can’t thank Dave enough for everything he’s done for them! I recommend this auto shop to everyone.

This was my first time with Action Auto. Dave and the team replaced our '93 YJ fuel pump and some routine maintenance, and we think they did a great job! They let me bring in some of the parts, and they took care of the rest. We will definitely use them again.

Brought my truck in to action auto twice, first time after I bought. And second time this past weekend. I was a little sticker shocked on the price of repairs and parts after the initial inspection but it was just because it was a neglected vehicle. A little over a year later I brought the same truck in for abs light that I tried fixing the sensor multiple times with no luck. Ended up being a bad wheel bearing that was covered under warranty.Didn’t have to pay at all. Definitely a reasonable shop and will be going back.

Brought my car in first thing in the morning due to the starter failing test at autozone. Shop took about 2 hours to confirm and price the repair (was within the expected price range for this type of service). I was able to pick up before the end of the day. Advise of other services that need some attention but did not push to sell to me. Will be my first option in the the future.Service: Electrical repair

I live in Ramona and am currently looking for a job, so when the heating element switch broke on my car I was terrified at what the cost to repair would be. I had to get it fixed as winter time is coming and we get frost. David at Action Auto was polite, funny and more then fair. He kept me up to date on repair progress and choices. He kept the price very fair as I expected pay at least twice what I was charged. I feel David cares about his work, workers and customers. He has a new loyal client in me now. I HIGHLY recommend David and Action Auto Care. David also supports other local entities such as our VFW Post 3783. Action Auto Care rocks!

Owner charged me a hefty price to fix my car, three days later the car had the same issue again. The first time I brought my car in he called me at 4:10pm and told me what the car needed. I agreed, and assumed that I would be picking my car up the next day. Nope, my car was ready within 30 minutes. He charged a hefty fee for a “quick fix”. My car was also missing my engine bay cover after visiting this mechanic. If you want quality work look elsewhere you won’t find it here.

David is an incredibly ethical and professional mechanic. I live out of state and my daughter lives in Ramona. Her VW Jetta had multiple complex issues going on. I did some Googling and chose Action Auto. I spoke with David, explaining her situation, and told him I would be paying for the work but had a spending limit. She brought the car into David for a diagnostic. David found several issues and fixed these but was very transparent with us as to whether the work he did would 100% solve everything. Weeks later, the car threw several more codes and was still experiencing issues. She brought the car back to David and he spent over 4 hours trying to diagnose the new issues. He called me and let me know that, because of the complex nature of what he was seeing, he'd rather refer me to another local mechanic that was much more experienced with VW Jetta's. He refused to accept any money for the 4 hours he spent tracing through the car's wiring. Mechanics that are this ethical and transparent are hard to find. Thanks, David!Services: Transmission
