8340 Clairemont Mesa Blvd #202, San Diego“The 1 week course for Gaslamp Bartending school was rigorous, intense, and absolutely worth every penny. Nino and Joe don't just teach the mechanical in's and out's of making cocktails, but offer a framework of how to absorb information, and think efficiently. In the end, whether it be about upselling drinks to learning how to maintain a peaceful bar, it is about giving customers a pleasant experience, and getting what you deserve as a bartender. What's more, however, is that you are not just thrown out into the world after graduating having to build your own resume with what you have and land interviews in the same old way... After graduating, Nino spends hours just covering the best methods and strategies on how to land an interview, and set yourself apart from others. Also, he offers to give feedback on your tailored bartending resume to make it look professional, but at the same time fitting to where you want to work, and is willing to maintain long-term connections to follow along and help your journey in bartending. To say the least, I am extremely grateful and satisfied to have learned from the invaluable experience of both Nino and Joe, and am excited and hopeful to see what my brightened future in bartending has in store for me.Thank you Nino and Joe!”
“Had a great time! I've gone Axe throwing more than a couple of times and really enjoyed this location. The quality of their axes was great, boards also seemed fresher compared to some places. Staff was great and fun aesthetics. Would come again!”
“I did a wine tour recently on January 27th and Bernardo Winery was my first stop. I let them know in advance I was coming and they said absolutely you and your group can come on by. We sat in the inside wine area has the outside was full. There was a lot of seeding so it was great for my group. We had 16 to 18 of us. The whole property is amazing with all the little shops. This is my second time at this Winery and I wanted to go check out the shops but again time just slipped away from me. I definitely will be coming back again though. Several of my friends got food and it all looked delicious. Also the prices on the wine cannot be beat. It's about $15 a glass and then bottles start at $32. So do yourself a favor and just go for that bottle. It was fantastic seeing that their bottles did not start at $60 plus like a lot of wineries in the area do. My friends all told me this was their favorite stop on my wine tour. The staff was an absolute Delight.”

17224 San Pasqual Valley Rd, Escondido“It's a lovely property with lots of parking, and space to spread out. There are lots of shady picnic tables to hang out around and enjoy your wine. They are DOG and KID friendly, and usually there is a bouncy house set out front to keep the kiddos occupied. They even offer a super fun hayride tour of the property and vineyards. The service when you get through the (usually short) lines to the bar is super friendly, and how are the wines? Well, wine is a subjective thing, so some I love: like their Sangiovese, and some I hate: like their Rosé. That doesn't mean the rosé isn't wonderful, I just prefer a big red to a sweeter light wine. So you may have to get a couple of different tasting flights to find your favorites. But all their wines are well thought out, good quality, and worth the drive out to find them.”

9340 Dowdy Dr Suite 102, San Diego“This venue is so unique and so versatile in creating whatever event you could possibly want! The coordinators are wonderful and very helpful. Reference to various vendors was extremely helpful. This was an amazing experience for my husband surprise birthday!”
“What a charming retreat hidden in the mountains next to San Diego Safari Park (3 miles away). We spent a night in the Nightingale cottage. Beautiful. Romantic. In the middle of nowhere and still within reach of every amenity (wifi, streaming TV, Uber Eats, lovely kitchenette). We had a small party in back patio. That was sool cool in the middle of the night. Beautiful grounds. We loved exploring. The pool was gorgeous. When they open that restaurant, that place will be even more incredible. Rustic, peaceful. In the middle of nature. The cottage was clean and cool and very cozy during one of hottest days of year. Loved the bed frames. Would like to buy one just like. If you can tell me where you bought them. Just getting there is worth the adventure. A most memorable trip that we will never forget. Thank you Bandy Ranch. Great staff too.
Rooms: We loved Nightingale.
Nearby activities: Next to San Diego Safari Park. Vineyards everywhere. We drank some local wine. It was delicious.
Safety: Felt very safe being in middle of nowhere. Loved the front gate entrance and having our cottage right next to our car and front desk/charming shop.
Walkability: Walking the grounds. Otherwise need vehicle.
Food & drinks: Uber Eats and lots of local wine!
Noteworthy details: Just a hidden gem that is very worth the trip.”

6001 Clubhouse Dr, Rancho Santa Fe“Stepping Onto Phil Mickelson's Turf: A Review of Del Mar Country ClubNestled amidst the rolling hills of Del Mar, California, lies Del Mar Country Club, a golf paradise that wouldn't feel out of place in Phil Mickelson's trophy room. As one of the club's esteemed members, Lefty himself has graced these fairways countless times, leaving his legacy etched in every birdie and every epic sand save. But is Del Mar simply a playground for golf royalty, or does it hold charm for mere mortals like us? Let's tee off and find out.First Impressions: The moment you drive through the gates of Del Mar Country Club, you're transported to a world of manicured greens, shimmering ponds, and ocean vistas that stretch as far as the eye can see. The Spanish Colonial clubhouse, reminiscent of a hacienda estate, exudes an air of timeless elegance, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.Fairways Fit for a Champion: The 18-hole championship course, designed by the legendary William F. Bell, is a masterpiece of strategic design. Rolling hills, cunningly placed bunkers, and undulating greens challenge golfers of all skill levels, while breathtaking ocean views from every hole provide a constant source of inspiration (and, perhaps, a little intimidation).Beyond the Green: But Del Mar isn't just about chasing birdies. The club boasts a plethora of amenities to keep everyone entertained, including:Sparkling swimming pool and jacuzzi: Take a refreshing dip after a hot round or simply soak up the California sun.Tennis courts: Challenge your friends to a friendly match on the club's pristine clay courts.State-of-the-art fitness center: Stay in shape with the latest equipment and expert trainers.Fine dining: The club's restaurants offer delectable menus featuring fresh, local ingredients, with stunning views as the perfect accompaniment.Vibrant social scene: From member events to casual gatherings, Del Mar fosters a warm and welcoming community where you can connect with fellow golf enthusiasts. The Lefty Effect: Of course, being Phil Mickelson's home club adds a certain mystique to Del Mar. Walking the same fairways as one of golf's greatest legends gives your game a touch of magic, even if your swing is more reminiscent of a windmill than a graceful arc. You might not be sinking eagle putts like Lefty, but you'll still feel the thrill of playing on a course that's hosted some of the game's most iconic moments. The Verdict: Del Mar Country Club is more than just a golf course; it's an escape, a playground for the senses, and a chance to step into the world of golfing royalty. The immaculate course, world-class amenities, and captivating ocean views make it a true golfer's paradise. While the hefty membership fees might be a hurdle for some, the experience undoubtedly justifies the cost for those who can afford it. So, whether you're a seasoned golfer aiming to channel your inner Mickelson or simply seeking a luxurious escape, Del Mar Country Club is sure to deliver an unforgettable experience.Final Rating: 5 out of 5 stars”
“My 8yo just finished up Spring Break Camp at APEX and I can’t say enough good things about her experience. I found APEX through Google searching and reading reviews. She’d never been to a camp before so she was very nervous showing up the first day. To say she fell in love with this place is an understatement. The coaches were all so helpful and welcoming. Everyday I picked her up she’d tell me about all of the fun she had and how she couldn’t wait to go back. 10/10 recommend the camps and look forward to trying some of the classes and open gym options!”
“We joined Santaluz really not knowing what to expect. My wife and I are not 'country club' type people. We liked the looks of the club and the people we met. That was just the beginning. Our family (2 young daughters and us) have met lifelong friends here. The restaurants, service, pool, racquet sports are all awesome (we don't play golf so not sure about that!).In particular, the pickleball program is amazing. Victor is the Pickleball Pro at the club and he is extremely knowledgable and willing to help anybody at any level. If you are considering joining a club in the area, we highly recommend Santaluz”

4619 Convoy St a3, San Diego“My family and I really enjoyed our stay here during the summer. This is a great place to stay while visiting San Diego especially if you have kids! Fast, friendly customer service at check in. Parking was $30/day and there was plenty of spots available. Microwave and mini refrigerator provided in each room which was perfect for us. Beautiful location. Plenty of activities during the summer for kids. They have two pools available for guests to enjoy and show movies nightly at the tropical pool. We already booked our next stay for our trip in February. Can't wait to return and make new memories!”

San Diego“The bistro is everything I would want in a perfect coffee shop (outdoor outlets, fast Wifi, dog-friendly patio) plus the things you can't get in a typical coffee shop (outdoor fireplace seating, prime rib on Fridays). It's a privilege to live here and be treated so kindly by the professional and happy staff.Kudos to the staff and management.”
“Celebrating my friend's birthday at this winery was an absolute blast! The atmosphere was lively, perfect for catching up over glasses of exquisite wine. The staff's warmth and expertise elevated every sip, making the experience truly delightful. I left feeling thoroughly content and happy. And let's talk about that view--breathtaking doesn't even begin to cover it! A truly wonderful day in every way possible.”

5925 Lusk Blvd, San Diego“Overall 3 day weekend stay was good.Rooms: Overall very happy as the room seemed clean. I definitely check for cleanliness, stock, and appearance since I know about cleaning. Areas easily seen are floors (carpeted areas and hard floors) and entire rest room… check for hair, debris, soiled trash liners, beds, etc. When you train your staff better, you look better…basically everything is better!Nearby activities: Nearby: beaches, old San Diego, zoo and Sea World, coast -sight seeing, strolls -Balboa Park, shopping, and more…Food & drinks: Overall breakfast was good. Selection-good. No bacon on any of our days stayed. Sausages (pork and turkey) and egg could be cooked a little better. Drinks great. Hot cakes fresh out of the oven. Fruit good and bakery”

My only complaint is that the water temperature was insufficient. I enjoy a hot shower, and it was barely warm enuf to tolerate. Oh and no jacuzzi! Great breakfast!”

8110 Aero Dr, San Diego“ExcellentUpdated review as of 2/23/2024We had a very nice experience at Sheraton! I had the opportunity to call the front desk....a couple times, LOL.I would like to know if Kristol ever gets a day off, because she answered the phone each time I called and handled my small situation promptly!!! Thank you Kristol. Also kudos to the whole staff working the weekend of the 24th....all were polite and professional, I appreciate that. I look forward to my next stay at Sheraton!”
“This course is just down the street from me so I visit often. I am new to golf and I feel that this course is challenging yet still playable. The course is maintained well enough that I only lose balls because of my awful swing, and not because I lost it in the fairway. The greens roll well and they have a good pin rotation so divots have adequate time to recover. The ground keepers are always hard at work and I thank them for giving me the best chance to bring my score down. There is a driving range to get some practice shots in. I haven't visited it in a while, but it wasn't the prettiest range I've seen. However if you just need to hit some balls in an empty field, there are some mats, plastic tees , and a ball vending machine that accepts NFC payments waiting for you!The only time I've had a problem with a person was another golfer throwing a tantrum on hole 10. The staff, from the pro shop, course Marshall, groundskeepers, and snack cart attendant, have always been kind and welcoming.I always look forward to playing golf here!P.S. I guess one downside is that tee times are only 9 min apart. So if it gets busy, it really backs up. I'd call or check online ahead of time!”
“Back again for our third or fourth visit because you can’t beat this Hampton Inn. Several employees stood out on this recent visit: Adrien and Dante had friendly conversation and winning smiles, Esmeralda was helpful and friendly and Teo was awesome. We chatted with the manager, Mr Fleming, and he asked if there was anything he could do to make our stay more comfortable. Nothing- from the hot oatmeal in the morning to the comfortable beds at night, we had no complaints. We’re planning to stay here again next time we’re in Poway.
Rooms: Couch and two beds and roomy bathroom”
