They charge way over MSRP for parts and have a 3% fee for cards they don’t disclose. Had better experience at Toyota ofEscondido for parts

I recently bought a 2024 4Runner with the assistance of Internet Sales Manager Michael Castrol. He provided prompt and friendly service through out the whole process. The only downside was the long wait, over 90 minutes, for the finance guy. Of course, that was a staffing issue that management needs to work on.

1) I have purchased Toyotas in past years from Toyota of Poway (Corolla) and Toyota of Carlsbad (Prius). I used the Costco Auto Program in 2008 for the Corolla I bought at Toyota of Poway. Recently I was in a car accident and my Toyota Prius was totaled, so I decided to try the Costco Auto Program to purchase a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. I received the purchase document from Costco. Soon afterwards, I received a phone call from a Toyota of Poway representative. She informed me the vehicle I had requested was in high demand so I could take a white RAV4 that was available and only if I put down a deposit. Her attitude was, "take it or leave it." I said, "I know it is a dealer's market at present, but are you really not offering me any options?" The reply: "That is your option." My reply: "Thank you for the call, I guess, but I decline."2) I ended up using the Costco Auto Program to purchase a 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid, Sport Utility version. I took delivery on October 27, 2023, just days after I was contacted by the Honda dealership. I had a very pleasant buying experience with their friendly, courteous staff who treated me like a valued customer. It was the opposite of my experience with Toyota of Poway. 3) Based on my recent experience with Toyota of Poway, I may never purchase a Toyota again.

Finally I have time to write about my last experience. I have two Toyotas and both of them I bought from Toyota of poway. And all this time, all services was done by Toyota of poway , they did good service for my cars and I was paying for it without regret. But my last service experience was terrible, I went there for 2022 Toyota Highlander. I needed oil change and tire rotation. First they tried selling tires to me for $1200, I said no. I knew my tires was good for another 15000 miles ( this is not my first car). After service they told me they not gonna do tire rotation cause my tires so bad and requires only replacement. Adviser JD wasn't helpful at all . Told me they are professionals and this is the reason they're not working with such bad tires , only replacement. WTF. I'm paying for this service , so just do what I'm paying for. This is not how you treat long time customer ... TRIED AGGRESSIVE MOVE OF SALE TOWARDS ME... terrible service... will not recommend to anyone.... Never will buy anything from TOYOTA OF POWAY AGAIN Pics of my so "bad" tires attached

Toyota of Poway listed a 2003 Corvette for sale for $28,848. Cargurus says that price is too high and is about $5k more than the KBB value. I offered to buy it at $25k total with all fees included (which is pretty much KBB value plus all fees). Salesman, Valerie, replied via text stating that the car still hasn't gone through inspection. After the inspection, they'd let me know if my offer would be accepted. That made zero sense to me. So you're going to price a vehicle and list it for sale BEFORE you know if there's anything wrong with it??? If not, the price will remain or may even increase? But if there's something terribly wrong, then yeah.... We'll accept your offer??? That's a horrible sales tactic and needless to say.... HORRIBLE customer service. After inspection, they declined my offer.

I want to start off by saying, Jessica in service is the best. Always friendly and helpful. I like going to her. But getting your car serviced here takes a long time. This review is just on the slow service here. For an oil change and tire rotation, we were told hour and a half to two hours. Jessica sold us a Toyota package for 5 oil changes for $315 (which was a deal), with it we got a free car wash. We ended up dropping off my car (had a 7:40am appt) to run errands. Figured we had 2 hours. Three and a half (maybe four) hours later, we called to see if my car was ready. Jessica said that they were just finishing up. Got the car back pass 11am, and uh no car wash. Just a 3 and a half to four hour oil change and tire rotation. Honestly this has been the slowest Toyota Dealership to service cars, and I've been here a good handful of times.

We had amazing service from Lettie and Ivan. Lettie greeted us outside and remember we had called ahead. She was very thoughtful of our time and even stood in the rain for us. We felt o pressure to buy we came in with a price in mind for the car and they beat it. At first, we were quoted quite a high interest rate, and Ivan looked around and found us a much lower one. In fact, it was half of what they had to first quoted us, cutting our payments down a good amount. The only thing that they could improve on is lowering the wait for finance. We were told it would be about a 5 min wait but it was more like 30 mins or more.

I took my 2002 Tundra truck to have my window repaired because it stopped working. Toyota of Poway waned $160 to diagnose the problem. The motor needs to be replace. And the repair estimate was $1019. No way. I took it to a small repair shop down the street and their estimate wad $450. I won't go back to Toyota of Poway again.

If I could give a negative number of stars, I would. If I could summarize the service department in one word, it would be: DISHONEST(Disclosure: This was pre-inflation so prices are likely not accurate now)- Oil change: I found a coupon for $29.99. I presented the coupon and asked if there were any additional fees. Salesperson said NO. Incorrect. When I went to pay, the price was doubled due to undisclosed technician/service fees. By itself, this would not have bothered me since it is well-known that getting service/maintenance at the dealership always results in hidden fees. But....- Brake pads: Halfway through my wait, I got a call from my assigned sales that my brakes were less than 2mm "metal on metal" and that it was dangerous to be driving out of there. So I agreed to the $400 quote to replace them. But when they brought the car back, the technician inspection sheet recorded that my brake pads were 3.5mm, which still fell in the green zone on the info sheet. I know I likely overpaid for the brakes, but if they were necessary, my life is worth more than $400. However, to literally have the sales rep make up a brake thickness to get me to buy brakes is extremely dishonest and frankly fraudulent. - Wait time: In total, because their stupid shuttle was not working, I waited in the waiting area for THREE hours for them to work their way through all the scams they pulled on me. Apologies that this review turned into a rant. But in summary, do NOT get service here. They will lie to you and defraud you without blinking an eye. I emailed them to let them know about the experience, and they never even replied. I hate this place so much that the last time my other Toyota had a recall, I drove to the Marina Del Rey Toyota (in Los Angeles) where I bought my car because they were always very honest and transparent when I interacted with them.

Just terribly overpriced. My tire pressure sensor light was flashing, which means its low battery. I was charged $170 just to check it, no repairs. The didn't have the part in stock, so they back ordered it and when it comes in, it will cost $250 to install.Better off going to a local tire shop that will charge $70 to $100 per tire pressure sensor.

Art is the best service manager. Most likely would not have service there without Art.

I’ve been going to Poway Toyota since 2010. They’ve always done a good job on my car, been reasonable and fairly priced with their services. I can’t think of any time I’ve had a problem with them. They are very helpful & pleasant & most importantly have an excellent reputation.
