Just left this store. I bought two- 1lb bags of DD FALL coffee. One was maple the other turtle, and one was 1.00 more than the other. I asked the kid at the counter to see if he could have someone check it. He said I scanned the bar codes and that what came up. He refused to have a manager come over to look. I told him his customer service sucked.

Beware of Jerdi! The worst retail supervisor we have ever seen. This lady is foul! My wife purchased a childrens pool and upon opening the box there were many items missing. Upon returning to the store within 30 minutes of purchase we were accosted by this woman. She first told my wife that the pool had to be all the way back in the box or we could not return the item. REALLY??? We purchase an item missing many parts and the lady is so concerned that it is back in the box so she can resell it to the next sucker??? Then, she proceeded to call "her" supervisor who advised her to return the item as is. Jerdi then LOUDLY EXCLAIMS, "THIS IS WHY IS HATE PEOPLE FROM POWAY!" Referring to Poway people as lower than her. She proceeds to tell my wife you are lucky that you are getting your way. Again, my wife was lucky that this lady would be so kind to return a defective item that they should have never sold in the first place. Two additional customers who witnessed this interaction stayed at the store due to Jerdi's behavior to protect my spouse from her verbal abuse and that the return was actually done. Jerdi also refused to give us the name of her supervisor or the regional manager. She stated they don't have cards and we could just go online to find them. She was also helpful to let us know not to bother contacting her regional because he was on vacation for two weeks and filing a complaint about her after that time would be useless since she has already turned in her two weeks notice. What a disaster Big Lots has upon them putting this lady in a position of authority.

Just visited the Poway location BIG LOTS, staffmember, I think her name is Jerdy, was soannoyed when I asked for assistance with aproduct that was on the very top of the shelfwhich clearly has signs to ask a staffmember for assistance for the products onthe top of the shelf. She huffed and puffedfor being "bothered" to do her job, I was so shocked and taken back with her attitude to assist, that when she walked away unknowingly if she was going to assist, I climbed your shelves below and tipped the the big box towards myself so I can purchase the item. Please hire people that are willing to do their job, as this individual is representing your company poorly, not to mention putting your customers in danger reaching for high items that again your signs CLEARLY indicates to ask for assistance. I don't think she can read. I thought BiG LOTS would like to know this since this employee is potentially causing dangerous situations when you are paying her wages. This was Sunday afternoon 6/11 at about 330pm. I've never experienced this in any of your stores, as I've been a loyal customer for many years, by the way this is my first ever review written prompting me to want to provide BIG LOTS of executives the heads up. She is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I happened to be there because of the place next door and decided to pop in to check out their hoiday decorations. I didn't find anything and the selection was dismal.However, the first thing I saw was my favorite beverage which they always have and at a lower price than Amazon and grocery stores. I bought a full case.Then as I perused the aisles, I kept tossing this and that into my cart and happily came away with two bags full of food items that were not on my list! Even the mini marshmallows were soft and fresh for my favorite sweet potato casserole -- always the best part of Thanksgiving!

I was followed by an employee as if I came to steal merchandise. This is the second time I have had this experience at Poway Big lot.

I went in to purchases a clearance item between 5:30pm-6pm 5/25/21. When the cashier scan the item it came out 1 Cent, they said they cannot sell the item, that was rude, I think they are just trying get the item for themselves because it was 1 cent. I said why can you not sell it to me, it's in the clearance area, they said it's discontinued, really!!!!! I think they are just going to get it for themselves. Liar!!!!

Very poor service. I went to buy an item, it was on clearance. They manager and staff refused to sell it to me! Saying they were not allowed to sell the item? Probably bought it themselves ! Shady business! Stay away! Do not recommend and will not be going back! Super shady!
