I don't live in Poway but still travel down the hill to this place after recommendations from town folks where I'm at. We do have a jewelry repair but won't use them from past experience. I was nervous that they couldn't repair my item but they did an amazing job and for less than what the initial estimate was for. I needed to leave my 14 karat gold chain with them for some reason and I was nervous about that. They cleaned that also.
Such a beautiful place. If you're addicted like I am to shiny pretty things you could go really wrong in there and spend too much money it's a beautiful beautiful store. Will most definitely use them again. Thanks so much.

For those of you looking for beautiful Jewelry give them a try. A lot of it is hand made at the store. As with most places that post on Yelp you sometime get a wide range of views. My answer is go visit the place and see if their Jewelry meet your expectations. It is a family-owned business, that has been around for my 30 years plus buying from them. We have moved away from Poway, but every time were in town we make a stop at this place to view their pieces. As with most Jewelry, it's in the eye of the beholder, if you like the piece, I believe you get a fair price. Talking with the owners you get a good feeling about dealing the store. I don't normally write in yelp but have had this piece in my unfinished holder for years. I figured it was about time to send it in and get caught up. Go see it and make up your own mind about the store.

I recently had 3 pendants designed and made, using diamonds from my mother's wedding ring set. Two were for gifts and one for myself and they are all beautiful. Roxanne and Ross offered thougtful suggestions, were patient and helpful. My husband and I have done business with this family owned store for may years, sometimes for repairs and sometimes for purchases and we have always been pleased with the quality of work and items purchased. If you don't live in the Poway area, Artistry in Gold is worth the drive. You will be pleased with the quality and selection of items in the store as well as the expert and friendly staff.

The Rath family and my family were neighbors for many years and they have been an immense blessing to us! Earlier this year, as I prepared to propose, there was no one I trusted more to create an engagement ring. And in a matter of weeks, Jim achieved absolute perfection with the ring he made, and my wife and I simply could not be more pleased with it. i took my broken 14k white gold link necklace in for a repair. They were more than helpful and reasonable. The turnaround time was amazing. The store is beautifully set up. I wish that I had more time to browse. I will be going back to shop and would highly recommend the Artistry in Gold Jewelry store in Poway.

I had my wedding ring recently resized here and Ross was very helpful. He listened to my concerns and what specific adjustments I was looking for in my ring. He offered insightful suggestions and made me feel at ease with my size selection. The turn around was quick, within a few days I was able to pick it up. Reasonably priced and the staff are all local and friendly. A very welcoming environment.

In need of repair for a few pieces, i had been putting the task off as I'd been unable to find a jeweler I felt I could trust. Having driven by the storefront many times, I finally read their Yelp reviews and decided to give them a try. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, both Jim and Roxane listened, then offered solutions. My pieces were repaired quickly (and I do mean quickly!) and expertly at a fair and reasonable price. I've already been back, and will continue to do so in the future. I have found my jeweler at last! P.S. Be sure to check out their large selection of fine estate jewelry, too.

Brought my gold bracelet here to be fixed because the chain had broke. It’s an easy fix. I picked it up and it looked like they glued it! (It was saudered sp) but very poorly done!

The staff was incredibly professional and treated my ring with the utmost care. When I received it back, it was sparkling like the day I got married. Was planning on purchasing my engagement ring here using a diamond my grandmother passed down to me. My mother wanted to go by when I was at work to see what ring settings they had. While there, she was sold on buying what they called a "travel ring", which looked like an egagement ring but with a fake diamond. My mother thought this was a good idea since my girlfriend liked to travel and thought she wouldn't have to worry about wearing an expensive ring while on vacation. I needed to retrieve my grandma's diamond from our safe deposit box and was planning on going in the next weekend to have the actual engagement ring made. Before I had a chance, the jeweler thought it was necessary to go out of their way to specificly contact my girlfriend, who previously shopped here, to warn her that her engagement ring she would be receiving was a fake. My now ex-girlfriend was understandably upset. Didn't know I needed to worry about my jeweler telling on me about items I purchased before I even gifted them, especially when they clearly did not even know what it was for. Super classy. Atleast I saved the $10,000+ I was going to drop on a ring at their store.

I left a sterling silver bracelet that had been handmade by an artisan jeweler in Bali, Indonesia. I brought it in so that they could shorten it. Before I left it with them, the clasp worked flawlessly. When I picked it up, the length was correct but the clasp was no longer locking and unlocking flawlessly as before. The sodding job was horrendous, leaving a whole in the clasp. All in all, they had butchered a simple job and the jeweler complained about how the artisan in Bali had attached the end of the clasp to the bracelet end, not understanding the artisan job done by an Indonesian master in his craft. Don't come here expecting a fine artisan job. They don't provide such a service and they'll justify their poor skill.
