“I've had my dog's teeth cleaned at VCA before, but this time I had concerns about a tooth that looked grey, so I brought him to Animal Dental Clinic for cleaning, x-rays, and potential treatment.
The difference was night and day. They treated my dog exceptionally well and walked me through every tooth and x-ray via FaceTime during the procedure. The level of care felt more like visiting a top human dentist than a standard vet.
I worked with both Dr. Farcas and he was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. When I mentioned my dog's skin gets irritated when shaved (he licks the spot for weeks), they found a way to place the IV without shaving his leg.
I also appreciated that Dr. Farcas was knowledgeable about the MDR1 gene mutation common in Australian Shepherds and took extra precautions with anesthesia protocols because of it. It gave me real peace of mind knowing they understood the specific risks for my dog's breed and weren't just using a one-size-fits-all approach. That level of specialized knowledge makes a big difference when your dog is going under.
The tooth that worried me turned out to be just plaque from crowding, which they cleaned thoroughly.
It costs more than a general vet, but the expertise and individualized care are absolutely worth it. Highly recommend for anyone with dental concerns beyond a routine clean”
“One of the only sites in my area able to provide immediate care to pets. Everytime I've had an emergency with my cat, I could always rely on MedVet. Very friendly and professional staff and while treatment times can take awhile it's because they prioritize who needs care the most. Can't recommend this vet enough if ever there's an emergency.”

“Definitely worth the 30min drive and bridge crossing to get our community cats fixed through the TNR program. 3 of us had individually gone to another local cat clinic in Fremont to use vouchers. But staff was incredibly rude, understandably made mistakes, but was just mean for no reason. There were also a lot of unnecessary rules/requirements that probably deterred people from following through w/surgeries. We are all trying to help and rescue is stressful (I focus on dogs personally). But ease and kindness is what keeps people voluntarily helping these animals. Thank you for offering this AND thank you for just being kind and straightforward!”

“Great care and boarding for your dog. Good place to board in case your dog gets sick and good price. Care is actually given by trained workers unlike other places that you get a phone call from informing you that your dog has blood in stool 1st 24 hrs of stay and do not know how to clear it up. After Covid, improved new staff, website, etc.”

“I just moved from the South Bay and Peninsula was recommended. I needed to get in quickly for rabies and vaccinations for my pup. All went well, when I got there I was greeted by staff. It was busy, and I waited a tad longer. But it didn't matter, I really liked Dr. Ulla. She was personable. She got down on her knees to greet my dog who is 46 pounds. She reassured my pup and soon she was licking the vet! So big yay. I am thrilled to have found a great vet in Menlo Park!”

“I have nothing but good things to say about this place and the staff here. I’ve been bringing my dog here for around 3 years (and most recently a new puppy!) and they are super comfortable with everyone! Dr Suen listens to every concern we have and always gives us multiple options when considering treatment. We have been lucky with our both our dog’s health so far, but any small concern has been addressed super quickly. They are also super accommodating and we are able to get same-day appointments for (what we consider anyway) emergencies, which saves a ton in finding other vet care, plus we know we are going to be looked after here! Finally, the reception staff are lovely and are always really helpful!”
