Not a good place to get primary care, with these students. They don’t practice preventative medicine. Primarily they focus on data entry and whatever will superficially give them good performance metrics.

My primary care doctor is here. Stanford MD's and staff are excellent. They take Medicare.

Got scheduled at the wrong place with the wrong provider. Stanford sends a whopping bill (~$1032) for 20 minutes of unnecessary consult and refers us elsewhere, costing more time and money. The show goes on.

Insanely expensive and deceptive, borderline criminal. They ordered "some blood tests" without any description of what it was, and it was almost $7,000. For a couple video appointments and tests it was over $15k. If you must go here, get estimates, and push back and ask questions about any tests ordered.

Dr. Juarez-Reyes is the best internist and primary care physician I've ever worked with (and I'm 60 years old, so I've seen a few)! Intelligent, deeply knowledgeable, compassionate and a really great communicator. Three thumbs up!

Lumped all cost into a single item "New Patient Management". No itemized breakdown. My co-insurance rate is only 10% for in-network and 30% out-network. Yet I am asked to pay 80% of the bill! Still trying to resolve. Let's see how this billing fiasco goes.

As a patient of Dr. Bajra's, I had a normal/typical experience being seen in her office for my annual physical. She was nice enough and acted professionally. However, her business practices and her office's billing practices are deceptive and downright extortionate. A couple of weeks after being seen for my physical, I needed my primary care physician to fill out a short, 1 page medical clearance form for an upcoming program I would be attending. I requested Dr. Bajra fill this out for me; it contained questions that we had previously discussed at my physical. Dr. Bajra requested to give me a phone call, which I allowed as I thought she was nice enough to fill out this form for me. Of course, her motivation for scheduling a phone call is now clear. After this 10 minute conversation, the form was faxed to me filled out. Two weeks later, I received a bill from her office for $400 for "medical care." No medical care was received, and her office refused to recode the charge for my insurance company. No mention was made during our phone call that I would be billed, and in the past, my doctor has filled out nearly identical forms free of charge. If you are considering being a patient of Dr. Bajra's, know that she was nice in the office, but her office uses deceptive billing practices. Before speaking with her, ask in clear language if you will be charged for her time. Otherwise, you will be taken advantage of.

Not helpful doctors, only doing very shallow checks. However, they charge you so much!!! For a physical check, the doctor just checked my ear, and asked some basic questions, they charge $417!For simple ear wax removal, they charge 181! What is the more ridiculous is that they charge 75 to read the ultrasonic check after they already charged 386 for the check. This is a place only for money, but doesn't care about patients! Don't recommend at all!

This review is specifically for Jaimie Lyons. I am beyond lucky to have been Jaimie's care for roughly a year. Jaimie was nothing but professional while I worked with her over eight visits. I was able to make breakthroughs in my personal and professional relationships as a result of our time together. Jaimie made outstanding recommendations for care outside of Stanford. I especially appreciate her reading recommendations. I would recommend her to any friend or family member seeking help with problems at home or in a professional setting. Frankly, I am surprised at Anna's poor review. Was there a mix up? Because, none of the behavior she describes sounds anything like the Jaimie Lyons that treated me. I didn't just see Jaimie for one visit. I saw her at length. Let me assure you, her level of care is top notch.

This review is specifically for Jaimie Lyons, a social worker who sees patients at the Portola Valley clinic for mental health concerns. I felt like Jaimie was going out of her way to be dismissive of my concerns and mean to me. After I told her what I wanted to talk to her about, she flat-out told me that I was wasting her time and taking an appointment away from other patients who were waiting for months to speak to her (so had I, btw). She also said that she would tell my Stanford PCP never to refer me to her again. I was shocked and had no idea how to respond to that. We never got on the same page after the rough start. I had wanted to speak to her about treatment planning - /how/ to seek mental health care outside of Stanford and /what kind/ of services I might benefit from. That's a non-trivial question because I have a 10-year history of false starts with mental health providers, who tell me that I am either too sick for their services or not sick enough. My PCP thought that Jaimie would be a good resource to have that conversation with, which is how I ended up speaking to her. After berating me for a couple of minutes about wasting her time and not valuing her services, Jaimie did seem to consider having a conversation about treatment options with me. Unfortunately, she never took a proper history and decided to make suggestions based on a two-sentence summary of my concerns. When I tried to explain to her why her specific suggestions weren't helpful to me, she seemed to conclude that I didn't want help at all. She abruptly ended the hour-long appointment after 25 minutes. I requested a copy of my medical records in an attempt to understand why that appointment had gone so horribly wrong. I was expecting her perspective to be different from mine; I did not expect that her notes would describe just about the OPPOSITE of what had happened. Jaimie documented that I was there solely because my PCP had sent me and that I didn't want any help. She documented that I had declined a community referral. She documented that my attitude towards her had been "hostile" - she left out the part where I became guarded only after she told me that I was wasting her time, and that I spent most of the appointment time crying in silence while she was repeatedly raising her voice at me. If Jaimie wasn't so busy, I would very much like to speak to her again to process what happened between us. But I don't want to waste her time again and take another appointment away from someone who deserves it more [/sarcasm], so I chose to process by sharing my anger and confusion with the world.

Dr Chang has been very good. He is extremely responsive when it counts and does not force unnecessary tests. I highly recommend him.

SUPER EXPENSIVE hospital with average docs. For a pulmonary function test +10mins walk, they charged $4,991 + $1,255 for 5 mins chat with a pulmonologist. Even with the best insurance, I had to pay huge amount out of pocket, it's INSANE!! I'm glad that I got CT scan done outside Stanford. Hope I NEVER EVER have to go back to Stanford again.

Doctor constantly runs late. Minimum wait 45 mins (least) to 1 hour 45 mins (max).
