“I have rented a storage unit from All American for the past 10 years. Ive had many ups and downs throughout the years and they have been very professional and understanding . Currently I behind only two months on my storage which should only be $44.00 but with late fees its up to $150+ and has been locked on me. Id hoped for some leanacy during these hard times or some sort of forgiveness on the late fees but no one seemed to be willing to work withme. My mother in law passed away and funeral and burial cost and not being able to work. I have all of my belongings in that storage with only three sets of clothes im forced to wear over and over. After so many years of loyalty am I wrong for believing lenancy or late fee forvgivness be given?”

“My father was the owner of a storage unit and he passed away around the same time ownership changed. My family and I didn’t have his key or know where he left it. The new owners not only increased the price by 20 bucks but then went months without finding a maintenance man. I kept asking for someone to cut my fathers old lock so I can put a new one on and kept getting the same run around. Saying they don’t have anyone that can do that yet but after months of waiting I decided to just pay for a locksmith myself after saving up. He came and cut the lock the same day and the total came close to what I pay for the unit. I then asked if I can get a partial reimbursement or a free month since I had to pay out of pocket for a service that is usually handled by them. Again after a couple of months of waiting I was told they can’t do anything for me. Currently in the process of clearing out the unit, I was very disappointed they couldn’t make a small accommodation during this difficult time.UPDATE - The owner gave me a call within an hour of this review and graciously accepted responsibility for the misunderstanding as he didn’t know the full story. He kindly offered me 2 months rent to rectify the situation and for that I’m grateful. Great new ownership and leadership displayed!”
