It is always an excellent experience for me to go to CVS.

Bet you are wondering what a guy from Santa Monica is doing in a CVS in Porterville? What? You have never been to Porterville with it's long white sandy beaches, tropical surroundings and relaxed island atmosphere? I know...it's a dream...wake up David! We were filming an episode of "6 hours in Porterville." I know you can't wait to see this exciting production. I am giving them 5-stars because they had availability for a Pfizer Covid Vaccine so I got one last Friday when I stopped in. And the woman who administered it was as nice as can be. Now I bet you are saying, David! you are going to have to drive back there for the 2nd in 3 weeks! No, no, no--they got me an appointment for the 2nd close to where I live. Although if you have ever been to Porterville--you may want to come back here and stay at the Ritz Carlton Porterville. About the CVS Store: Not as well stocked as a CVS store in LA. Large free and easy parking. Just as easy to get your bicycle stolen here as in LA (see my pic). I asked the CVS woman who checked me in for the Vaccine how it went for her? She said--I am not getting the Vaccine unless they make me. I don't trust it. I asked here if she gets the Flu vaccine? Nope. (If I worked in a drug store with sick people coming in all day I would definitely consider getting vaccines.) Next door is a Starbucks with outdoor seating--I hung out there a bit. Across the street is The Habit. They told me that they have a new freezer just for the Covid Vaccines and plan to administer them here for a long time.

Today I was literally stalked by an employee of this store who refused to keep farther than 2-3 feet away from me. When I asked him to please not get closer than 6 feet in order to maintain 6 feet of social distance he was very rude and stated that he can't observe social distance rules because he "works there." Because he pushed in front of me to grab items off a shelf I had to back up 6 feet and wait for him to finish. Very very bad and dangerous customer service. Go to another cvs!

They always take forever to fill prescriptions. I was told an hour before they would be ready, no big deal. Did my shopping and came back to pick up and was told another hour. My children have respiratory issues & I am risking not only them but myself being out getting their meds. They need to keep their word and fill as they say! I pulled the original pharmacist aside and told him my situation and my daughters meds were out in 5 mins! All they had to do was label it & mix it. Seriously ridiculous!!

So everywhere the signs say to drop off your prescriptions and shop and they'll text you when they're done. Waited for them to open after some early morning dental work to find out my prescriptions would take 9 hours. I popped over to our local pharmacy and they filled them right in front of me. CVS Pharmacy at Target has lost my business!

The guy working the register right now is probably the most kind and easy to talk to cashier I've ever experienced at a CVS. As I'm feeling quite under the weather today, it made a difference. I've been to CVS locations all over CA, and across the country.
