Heads up, this is a late review by the way as this all went down in Feb/March 20201. Was in town for business and went to buy a 1974 BMW 2002 while I was there. I had Schneider run a pre purchase inspection. Chose these guys because they were supposed to be specialists in old BMW's and knew how to work on them and what to look for. Wanted an overall inspection but main concern was would it make it home from LA to SF if i bought it. First they sent me an email basically saying that everything looked good. They sent me an inspection file in an .xps format so I couldn't open it but the prior email looked good so I bought the BMW. Then after when I followed up with a discussion on the phone on the way home was when they said couple serious items. 1. Missing 1 motor mount bushing causing stress on the drive train and metal on metal rubbing. Not good for a long drive. 2nd. was gas leaking from the carburetor probably caused by the item 1 pulling on stuff. Sounded weird to me because 1 thing is so far removed from the other but ok you're specialists, I'll take your word for it. Basically it's a fire hazard and I shouldn't drive long distance as it may catch on fire with gas leaking onto the engine. Would I like to get these items fixed prior to driving the thing back home 6 hrs away. Uhh guess what bud I'm already driving it back to LA post purchase and leaving the next day. Well I had already bought the car thanks for the late reply on those details and I had to leave the next day so I bought myself a fire extinguisher and crossed my fingers. Drove it home all the way gently with the windows rolled down due to the fumes accumulating in the interior which I attributed to the aforementioned gas leak. So I get home and take it to my mechanic to get the 2 major items fixed so at least there's no more fire hazard and no metal on metal rubbing to drive it. Guess what, he replaced 2, entirely there, motor mount bushings and gave me the old ones which were old but definitely there and NO Gas leaking from the carburetor. There was an exhaust vent tube disconnected and leaking into the trunk which was causing the fumes but NO gas leak. Schneider also missed the gasket leaking oil from the head covers, and somewhere there's an additional exhaust leak as well as a host of other items, Interior heater/fan air and defrost don't work. Tires need replacing, Suspension is whipped, Loose steering, steering box needs replacing, brakes pull left . . . etc. Look I don't need a super detailed breakdown of everything but these were pretty obvious to me after driving it for barely more than a test drive, so and why did they tell me there were fix items to get fixed there which were not really fix items. Sounds like they were trying to get some extra cash out of an out of towner before he left for unnecessary repairs which is bad enough but missing all the other stuff as well?? Lame. At least they didn't bill me an arm and a leg for a bogus inspection.

BMW SERVICE SINCE 1965- LOOK UP WEBSITE Again "Thank you" for fixing my 2013 BMW 535I, oil leak, oil change, etc. I can't believe that the other BMW shop was going to charge me exactly $1037.72 to fix my car problem. I am a female, but I am not stupid. I know BMW parts can be expensive and also know that Labor rates vary. But I rather go to someone who is honest, pay a bit extra than go to someone who doesn't have years of BMW experience, DOES a s*** job and still rip you off. Eda Ramirez

I want to start of by saying that I usually don't like taking my car to mechanics and prefer to do work myself. I've been burned by shady mechanics doing shady work in the past and it pushed me to learn to work on my own car. With that being said, these guys are absolutely fantastic! They specialize in older BMW's and when I brought my car in you could definitely tell. In the shop and around the shop you've got nothing but classic BMW's. NICE classic bmw's. You can tell the cars they're working on are babied and taken care of. I think that should say something about their work when their clientele is compromised of clean classic car enthusiasts. Needless to say I brought in my e46 for a starter replaced, I had already diagnosed the problem and told them that's all I needed done. They didn't try to upsell me or charge me for extra bs. They replaced my transmission bushings (since they had to drop the trans to change the starter) and when I was on my way to pick up the car they noticed it was extremely low on oil and asked if I wanted them to top it off instead of just doing it and charging me for it. Of course I agreed because I'm not an idiot and when I showed up they had it on the lift and showed me where it was leaking oil from. They charge and hourly rate for labor + parts (obviously) and I feel like they charged an extremely fair price for the work they did. All in all I would definitely recommend these guys. BMW's can be tricky, especially older ones. But these guys know their s*** and won't rip you off.

My battery died in the parking lot of the Valero in Rimforest. Logan, from Schneider Motors, happened to be there and came over, tested the battery, and jumped it. He was then able to order me a battery right then and there, send me an invoice, and then brought it to my house and installed it the next day! Logan was extremely professional, friendly, and I get the feeling he's very honest. He's going to be my mountain go-to from now on.

Place charged me $360 as a kid out of high school to replace a maf sensor on an E46 what a joke they said it took them over an hour of labor I now know more about my car which I could have done in about 3 minutes they probably laughed after taking my money. I would never return or recommend anyone here.

The mechanic Logan was very helpful and responsive with my e32 740iL. Even loaned me a car to use while they worked on mine. They seem to work mostly on 80's and 90's BMWs but talking to Logan he seemed to know modern models as well.

Far and away the best place to bring a classic BMW. If you have a 2002, it's really a no-brainer. I bring in my swapped E30 with an E36 engine on a regular basis, and they never have any issues. Very to the point and they get the job done. They don't waste labor and charge you for time they aren't working hard. Give them a try!
