My boys went to this school all of their elementary years. They have gained so much from attending here. The staff are long standing teachers, office receptionists and principals. I'm a hard to please parent who demands a lot from a school. I'm very active with my children's education. So when there's a problem, I demand it gets tended to.My boys have had needs over the years that were met by attending Roosevelt. For example speech therapy and special needs education. I'm not biased on saying that either. My kids are first generation attendees, so it's not like I know anyone here personally.I do know that when I questioned or needed anything, it was addressed promptly. Staff from all across the board will answer you otherwise find someone who can.A great amount of families that attend are Spanish only speakers or bilingual. I have an English only speaking family. I felt kind of like the minority because everything felt like it was meant for Spanish speakers only. However, I was able to bring it up to the principal and he reassured that everything will be addressed in both languages consistently. I was not disappointed. My boys went through speech therapy and it help so much that within 3 years they no longer had speech impediments. My youngest was in kindergarten when he first started. And I couldn't understand him at all. The speech therapist worked rigorously with him throughout the years. Now you would never suspect he even had a speech problem. My other son also had a problem but didn't start therapy until 2nd grade. He also has no problems with speech as well. My youngest has underlying disabilities that make it hard to connect to other children and understand certain things. Rosevelt Elementary provided a successful learning environment that grew with him over the years via an actual plan. You have to ask for it. If there is need, meetings will be held on behalf of your child to come up with goals and alternatives to help them succeed. It takes a village to raise a child, but at the end, it's the parent's responsibility. Don't sit around shaming others, take action. If something doesn't feel right, you have options.By the way, the school has gone through major cosmetic improvements. It not only makes the campus look visibly beautiful - it's safer! Great job Roosevelt Elementary!

My son attended kindergarten there in 2017-2018 and the teacher was great, the principal was no help and his "supervisors" are incompetent. The kids get in trouble for no reason and after you have a "record" they send your kid home for any reason. I tried getting help from the principal and instead of helping he talks down on you, he doesn't take care of the bullying in the school he belives "it's not bullying" it's not a bad school just bad administration. Horrible experience, definitely transferring my son out of that school.

Super bad don't recommend to parents I was a student there was super mean teachers, my brother has a special needs and my mom talks to the teacher that he can't do mostly things like others. The teachers say sure we will help him. When in a million years. I got bullied once. Also, they give you a lot of Homework. In the cafeteria I saw cockroaches disgusting food to they give us the same food all over. I feel sad for Mrs. Maria there our Janitor I wish this school can get a other adult person to help her I would always help her clean. In the fifth grade ceremony they teach us like soliders, stand still and sit still also um sit down at the same time like others I was like really it's almost the last day and we are not going to the war we should do want you say but without the still in it. Also teachers say bad words in phone calls and I think they say it to the parents. Sometimes to kids. Kids get in trouble for no reason. One more thing kids fundraised chocolates why should we fundraise if everytime when my teacher tells me to get supplies from the office mostly it's markers and pens for teachers and the principal said the money we earn is for field trips. By the way they have a ton of money and they want kids to go on streets no thank you. Also on the fundraise we get rubber duckies and a key chain and a plastic something for selling 3 huge boxes or something I don't think it's fair.

Teachers are mainly teaching English classes in every classroom because not all students speak English so English speaking kids with only that language fall behind in academics because they are to busy trying to teach the Spanish speakers how to speak English

The worse school ever. I hate all the staffs. Specially the ones in the office. Don't let your kids suffer here.

I have to suffer at this schoolFirst of all we get some horrible food what are we slaves(no offense)but even dough it might be bad there is a few good things about this school.every once in a while theres something that happens out of the blue.we get to get these tickets and raffel them.if you win for the day you get a homework pass and a fast pass to take you to the front of the line but the useless cus your going to be the first ones to eat bad food.and if you win for the week you get the school to shine your name.but i really dont need people to see my name.if you win for the month you get to walk with the principal to 7-eleven and sit in a table but a fancy table.but its not a good idea to mix fancy things with nasty food.another bad thing is you get short recess . one time me and my freind were on the floor looking for something on the floor but the supervisor told us to get up so there went my lunch money.and if you walk into the boys bathroom booooy your going to regret going in there.but i cant wait to get out elementry school on to 6th grade.but i guees i am stuck here.but later or sooner something good might happen to chaneg the school.if your in roossevelt answer these qustions. Do you think the food is ? or ? choose one. If you are in 4th garde do you think we should out earlier or at 2:55. Those are my questions.so what do you think this school is ???☺??????????????

Ever since the year 2011-2012 came roosevelt got better to be honest. The Kids wear their uniforms and everyday my daughter wants to go because how much shes learning and having fun.Parents arnt allowed on school ground only outside or when theirs an emergency, and when the kids are getting out you can wait for them on the playground in the parent center.Shes been their since preschool and it has never been like this. Also the teachers are nicer and they help you in a problem of algebra if you dont understand the problem.I recomend roosevelt to anybody who wants their kids to have a great education.
