The teachers and director provide a warm, welcoming and calm presence for the children. I am on campus most every day (background checked and up to date vaccinations). I get to observe first hand the care with which all staff treat the children and the encouraging ways they guide them in learning. The facility is well maintained and safe.

The First Christian Church Pomona Child Development Center is dedicated to constantly improving its services to provide the best care possible for both staff and children. The Center operates like a big, happy family and hopes to expand its reach in the future. The Center's curriculum includes essential components such as literacy, numeracy, colors, shapes, art, social-emotional development, motor skills, and science, which covers topics such as living creatures, planets, and plant care. Every month, the Center has a different theme and focuses on specific colors, numbers, letters, and shapes for the month. This approach ensures that infants to preschoolers learn about various subjects as they grow. The First Christian Church Pomona Child Development Center also provides a ZooPhonics curriculum, which helps children learn their alphabet while learning about animals. For instance, Allie Alligator represents the letter A.

Seven years ago I started at FCCPCDC as a teacher. I have seen many children come and go. Throughout my years here I have been a teacher, team lead and now the cook. We may be small school now but I do remember the pre-covid days where every classroom was full of students and teachers, and we are sriving to get back to that. Everyday I see children learning, making friends, bonding with teachers and most af all having fun! Our staff members are qualified, caring, nurturing and always keep the child's best interest at the forefront. Our teachers use a program called Zoo Phonics that uses animals and their movements to learn the alphabet and sounds and is used by many school districts in our area. We are always making improvements and strive to meet the childcare needs of our community. Make an appointment for a tour and come and see us!Kammy Harte

First Christian Church Pomona Child Development Center is a wonderful school with an amazing staff of teachers. The director of the school is on top of the programs and really makes all families feel welcome and their child secure. The learning development has the right structure, while child learns with play. Teachers are nurturing and are great value to the program.

The school is very nasty the floor aren’t clean at all, the windows are very dirty, they don’t clean restrooms. I had to spray for ants and spiders. The kids kept on getting bit The classrooms have a lot of chip paint. The roof is falling apart They don’t treat their black staff as equal. I bought things for the kids in the summer to do activities far as water play the school didn’t provide anything for the children, beside, food, and snack, they paid for one summer field trip, and the teachers had to take them in their own personal car, because the school doesn’t have their own transportation to provide field trips for the students. The teachers provided a lot of activities for the kids and those teachers are no longer with the school.

This is the most wonderful, warmest environment for children to learn. Teachers and administrators are so kind and nurturing. The curriculum is academically educational, learning through play and with the right touch of caring fun. They serve ages 0-5 and the staff is wonderful. I highly recommend this center.

My mother worked there for 5 months when it wasn't no teachers there and she worked really hard the bosses were extremely making her uncomfortable, they were discriminating her for being black . This church was very nasty and my mother would have to spray her class for spiders and ants so the children wouldn't get sick . She had to provide her own actives for students and it wasn't a comfortable environment for her because of the boss. So I advise you to watch out for this place

I must say it was extremely difficult for anyone to ANSWER THE PHONE!!!! I must have called 20 times in one day trying to schedule a tour appointment. I left voicemail no call back, I even went online to request a tour no response! When I finally was able to talk to someone and I went to my tour I was incredibly surprise how expensive this day care was comparing to others that I had been. The only my reason I wanted to try this place was because it was so close to my job. I'm better off taking my child to the Claremont district half off cheaper.

I always say that I got lucky finding FCC. It was all because of a recommendation by a coworker. We've been part of the FCC family since 2017! My daughter started there in the toddler side. She was there until she transitioned to kindergarten. My son is currently there in the preschool side and has been there since 5 months old. Both of my kids have thrived from being part of their program! My son is now 2.5 years old and has flourished because of their patience and dedication! What I love:**dedicated staff! All the teachers are super sweet and have a genuine interest in working with children! It's not just a job and you can tell. My kids adore all the teachers! They do so much for the kids. It's important for me to know that if my child cries or is having an off day that they will be comforted. They are very loving and patient! This gives me peace of mind! **Zoo-phonics- I love that they teach the alphabet using zoo-phonics!! Now that my daughter is in kinder they use zoo-phonics to learn how to read and it's been so helpful that she is already used to using zoo-phonics.**curriculum- each month the teachers teach around a specific theme/subject. Whether it's learning about community helpers and bringing in Pomona fire department or our Pomona PD to learning about photosynthesis! Yup! They teach them early about how plants grow and they do tons of science activities with them! I'm always amazed at the end of the month going through all of their art work and activities they did. I get to have awesome keepsakes! Each week the focus on a letter/number/color. This past November they even taught them about Day of the Dead which I loved and appreciated. The teachers also focus on their social/emotional development! *directors- Since we've been there for a long time we've seen the transitions they've gone through and I can honestly say that they keep improving and that's only because of the new director/s. When Cristina became director she improved so many things like having an app to sign our kids in. The current directors have been amazing! They transitioned into their roles during the pandemic which is not easy! They've done an excellent job. They were both previously teachers there which is extremely helpful. They communicate with parents often and give us an opportunity to participate. ** potty training--can you say "woohoo" because they help you with the potty training!!! They use pull-ups to train them (a lot cleaner lol) some may not like it but honestly since lots of them are potty training they catch on quickly and next thing you know, no more pull-ups!! Each classroom has a bathroom with a small toilet so it makes it easier for them!

Trusting, generous, happy, safe place to have your children! We moved to Pomona about 3 yrs ago and did not know anyone and did not have anyone close by to watch my boys. My oldest started attending at 3-4 yrs and my little one was about 1 yr.I was lucky enough to find FCC Child Development Center and I couldn't be happier!!!!The teachers make sure the kids are happy and learning. They make awesome crafts, have constant communication with me thought the app and truly care for all the little ones. We also receive photos of their activities and have real time direct messaging with the teachers. The classrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are clean and safe for all of them. They disinfect all areas daily, wear masks and have hand sanitizer available for staff and parents. My oldest is only eligible to attend during summer camp now and he still enjoys it, the do waterplay, crafts, movie times, filed trips, reading. My youngest son can count to 20! and can partially spell his name! I'm so grateful that they make learning fun!As parents, we can sense when are kids are not safe or happy in a place. I assure you that when you walk in there and meet the staff and see how much the little ones have fun you will be able to sense the peace and trustworthiness of the Center.

My daughter is 3 years old. She absolutely loves this facility. The teachers are warm, caring, and hard working. They are always positive and happy to see my daughter come through the door, they interact positively with all the children, and are responsive to my daughter's daily needs. As parents, we feel very fortunate and happy to have found such a warm and wonderful preschool for my daughter. We highly recommend it !

I first decided to bring my little one (LO) here because they actually communicated with me (unlike the Montessori down the street). I made an appointment and got a full tour of the facility. I was able to get her in in about a week (the only holdup was getting her into the doctor's office for a physical). She's been attending since she was 5 months old (currently 3 and a half).Since then, my LO has thrived. Her doctor said she spoke like a 2 year old at her 15 month appointment. Granted, we read to her at home and she watches Sesame Street, but she spends 9 hours a day, 5 days a week here, so they definitely get some of the credit too. She's also getting socialization with other kids her age, which is SO important, ESPECIALLY with the pandemic closing down so much during some really formative years in her life. The teachers are all very patient and kind, and every teacher knows all the kids (even when they've never been in their class). The entire staff takes state regulations very seriously, which means you will not have a situation where children are being crammed into a basement for the money (this happened to a friend of mine). The kids get to play outside, do art and science projects, explore, play together, they get breakfast, lunch, and multiple snacks, and they take regular naps. They do regular water play days over the summer, a Halloween parade, a Christmas performance, and other fun activities for the kids throughout the year. There's an app they use that updates you on all the feedings, nap times, diaper changes, etc. when they are under 1 year old. It's also used for regular communications with all parents. They're open later than all the other childcare centers I found in the area (which helped with my work schedule), at an incredibly reasonable price.I'm really glad I signed my LO up here!

I absolutely love this place! Best program around that re-assures me my kids are safe and well taken care of. My older son was 3 when started and my younger son about 10 months, whom is 3 years now and he loves it. Great communication from all the teachers, love the updates and flexibility. Not being from this area gave me peace of mind, and will recommend to anyone looking for a place to have their kids..

Both of my sons attended this daycare since they were 6 months old (they are now 3 and 5). I have been thoroughly impressed by the attentiveness and compassion of the staff. They take a genuine interest in each child and work hard to help them grow. I love the creativity of the art projects and curriculum they use to teach. I appreciate the staff communication through kinderlime app especially when they share pics of the fun things the kids are doing and updates as to how my child is doing with potty training.
