Sometimes they are very rude. I ask how are you and he says I'm very busy right now. Wow. I guess to busy to be polite

I'm an E-commerce seller by trade so I use The post office almost daily to mail my packages. Greg has saved my skin more than once on some package issues(my fault) and both of the Daniels there are top notch employees. They all made me feel very welcome when I was a fresh face in town and I've never had any issues here. Thanks guys!

I can write about a number of different times say oh, in the last several years where I have experienced terrible service from this post office. But I'll just describe the current issue.
My package apparently needs a signature. So instead of coming to my door to get it and deliver the package as is what is supposed to happen, a note was left in my mailbox to pickup at the post office. I went to my online informed delivery, and successfully scheduled a redelivery the next day, with instructions to come to the door and that I would be home all day.
After three days, there was no change in the status, and no delivery. However today, it lists the package as 'available to pickup' again. When I tried to schedule a redelivery again, it states that it is now 'ineligible' even though none of the typical reasons listed for an item to be ineligible apply, so obviously someone up at the post office set this particular item this way so it could not be redelivered. They are now closed, and will not be open until Monday morning, when my family is leaving for a weeklong trip. Wonderful.
I will say that the one older gentleman I deal with when I go in is always kind and friendly, but other that that, this post office deserves the low score you see and even worse. The drivers and administration are terribly lazy and not oriented to helping their townspeople. Shameful.

I think it's unbelievable that the carriers say package is undeliverable when I saw them pull up to my house and just sit in their truck and not even attempt? My package wasn't heavy so I don't understand that and it's a Saturday so we have to wait till Monday? That is ridiculous. Very unprofessional honestly that just sucks!

Update 6/10/24: This is getting unbelievable. It takes a lot for me to come back and update this. Lord knows there has been countless issues but this is worth posting about. We had to have a certified 6 figure check reissued from a law firm because of these delivery issues. Now I'm told by the USPS website that my package was delivered to a neighbor "as requested"... Are you kidding? Even the neighbors are sick of it.
Update 7/14/22: The back of the mail box was left open for the entire neighborhood. And I should mention that our neighbor continues to get business checks for the company my wife works for that are normally 5-6 figure checks from law firms.. How long is this coming to continue? Fire this useless employee and hire someone who can read and turn a key!
Original review: Really? This is dangerous?
The parcel driver showed up while my sixth grader and I were shoveling the snow so that she could have a safe work environment. She was very rude, calling us jerks for asking that she deliver to our house. I am aware of an incident with a single resident on the road. Apparently he assaulted the post master. I don't know anything about that. We just wanted to get our mail because we have had endless issues for over a year now. (Mostly missing packages that were "left in parcel locker" and getting the wrong locker key.) But I guess that's being a jerk. She continued to tell stories about how three years ago this and that.. I wasnt listening I just wanted to clear the snow and get my mail.
She asked me for my address multiple times and I refused because I knew that there would be retaliation. My daughter noticed a package she was waiting for and asked for it but she would not give it to her. I realize now that she most likely looked at the address on the package..
She even admitted that if she has any mail for the house she's going to send it all back.. She raced to the neighbor across the street to complain I assume.. she wasnt delivering anything for over 30 min just gossiping.
The HOA is apparently responsible for plowing the road.
UPDATE: She is stealing my mail! First package since the drama and guess what? Nothing in the package! What a shock! See the photo for yourself.

Life has its challenges.
Sometimes horrible, unprofessional, head trip, ridiculous people make things more difficult.
Pollock Pines is a small Comunity, people know each other.
Most postal workers at the Pollock Pines post office are over the top great.
They know your name, and show respect.
Not long ago Pollock Pines post office had a new Post Master start, not a good person,
very arrogant.
I'm a Fire Fighter EMT and also Technician for a Company.
With work helping others, life, I'm not always each day picking up my Mail at my post office box.
Sometimes I wait a week or so, life just happens.
About 6 months ago, I was gone a couple of weeks, death of a friend and work helping others, I was gone.
I found my post office box locked were I could not get in it.
That day the post office Post Master was in, I asked why is my box locked?
I received no notice of money owed?
He had an arougant smile, thought it was funny.
He said I sent all your mail back, your box rent not been paid.
I had no notice, and no reason to send my mail back.
Also at the time I was taking, and still am, taking care of an elderly woman who is confined to her bed, trying to get her State help.
I had taken her to Placerville to sign up for Medical.
Waiting for mail confirmation.
But the Post master sent my mail back for no reason.
Arougant attitude about it he had.
As we all know State applications are slow as it is, with the post master doing what he did, it hurt this elderly lady severely to get help.
Application was rejected.
Also hurt me financially.
Today, only a week and a half not been in the post office, I received no notice of Post Office box rent due.
Again my box is locked, I asked the lady at the counter, she said box is empty, mail sent back, I paid the fee, not knowing as before there was an issue.
She called the arougant Post master, he said he will begin tomorrow to unlock my box.
He caused great financial problems with his arougant actions, and I'm still helping the elderly lady.
Come on, he should be fired.

This post office is terrible and like other reviewers post, they lie!! We are constantly exchanging mail with neighbors because of mail delivered to wrong address. Also, ...Amazon prime customers pay for delivery. Is "delivery " having to drive 28 miles to pick up item at post office, "delivery " ? I've had the local post master to my house. He appeared to investigate complaints. All I can say about the meeting, ..... no wonder the Pollock Pines post office is a disaster. This must be fixed.

As of today, I have 4 poor dealings with the post office in Pollock Pines. They cannot seem to deliver packages, AND then lie about attempting delivery. I was in today because two packages for Amazon said they were held at the carrier location but when I arrived they couldn't be found. The way they escape accountability is the packages were scanned as 'Delivered' so Amazon won't just resend the items. They lie about attempted delivery like no one has cameras in 2024.

Worst usps drivers I have ever seen. They lie about not being able to deliver certified mail but I have cameras that show they were just too lazy to pull in my driveway and deliver it. These drivers have been a problem for so long and are beyond lazy, they throw packages out of their truck window again being too lazy to get out and do their job. The post office won’t do anything about their lazy drivers even after the whole town doesn’t receive the right mail or reports missing packages. If you want your mail and packages without more trouble than needed than don’t move to this town.

Worst post office ever seems like everybody else reviewing has the same problem. They can never seem to deliver packages and when you do go in for your packages that they say are waiting at the post office they don't have it or can't find it. Had to go in twice to get a package first time they couldn't find it second time they found it and surprise surprise the box was all damaged. You would think it would be more regulated and efficient.

I have lived at the same address for 20 years and yet the dumber than dumb postal person who delivers mail to my address still can't get it right--always puts my mail in other neighbors mailbox! Thank goodness that I get my "important mail" at a P.O. box in El Dorado because I wouldn't trust the Pollock Pines Post Office to deliver anything to my address, but sometimes I have an Amazon order and those "she always puts in other mailboxes" so I have to go searching for my package, worthless (well I can't really say what I want to call her on here) but you get my meaning.

They only received 1 star because I had to. This post office is by far the worst. Constantly delivery packages to the wrong address or more recent we dropped of your package in the parcel bin and no key in my mailbox it’s so frustrating. I feel like I’m wasting my time here because nothing will change.
