My car started rattling uncontrollably and started swerving. I had to stop and with the help of my mom(I was frazzled) found Road Toad. Steve was excellent and down to earth. Steven was amazing! I was still waiting over 2 hrs for the original tow company. I called them to see if they could help. Steven was there within 20 mins. He dug my car out of the snow and got me back on the road in 5 mins! I'm so grateful ❤️ thanks again, Steven!

We'd waited 3 hours for AAA to give us a time when they'd come tow us off the cold, dark, snowing mountain top, until their update said that the next update would be between a half hour and 12 hours! So we finally called Road Toad and they were there in a half hour! They towed us right to a family member's house! Very nice and very accommodating. They were life savers - literally.

Car got stuck in a patch of ice on my way to my Airbnb in Pollock Pines. Steve happened to drive by and give me a hand. He got my car unstuck and made sure I got somewhere safe. Steve's an outstanding guy. Could not recommend him or his business enough.Service: Car towing

During my first trip alone to South Lake Tahoe, my sister and I started to freak out because it started to snow. While we knew that was going to happen, it being January, we only budgeted for two nights and the snow might shut down roads forcing us to stay. In a panic we started to all Road service companies to get their opinion on road safety and advice on weather since we are not locals.I didn't get the two gentlemen's names who picked up the phone, but they were extremely helpful. Both explained the weather and walked us through driving with a 4WD truck through the snow. After a few days of being home I looked up the weather in Stateline and the roads were closed due to the snow. If it weren't for those guys telling us we should leave when we did, we would have been stuck their all weekend. Thank You Road Toad Roadside Service!

I'm giving 2 stars only because on a Sunday night they used my tools, told me they would only charge $75, and I ended up with a $100 pending charge. Grateful for the help but I was told $75. Plus it was my spare tire.

I don't know why I pay AAA when they always deny service. One day I was told my service was covered and the next day when I was ready to tow the car, they said "SORRY"To make a long story short...a friend of mine used Road Toad and raved about them, so I gave them a try.Let me tell you, I am extremely picky and these guys exceeded my expectations 10 fold. AND they are soooo friendly and accommodating.
