Great small town Post Office. Housed in an old train station, it's the hub of town and you'll eventually run into anyone you know while there. The staff are helpful and kind. We all know the USPS has it's problems, but they do right if you give them half a chance.

It was a great place . . . until the only staff member who actually worked and was friendly left. Now it's like they're doing the customer a favor just by attending to their needs. We pay for the service. Believe me, when I can use something other than USPS, I do. And the people working in this particular post office, small as it is, and knowing most of their customers, are just this side of rude.

Service seems to have deteriorated in recent months. There can be a line of 5 people and the postal lady will take a few minutes to arrange her draw or stamps totally ignoring the line. Not an unusual occurrence. On many visits one can see boxes just sitting in a corner not being sorted . Post office app will say a package has been delivered but it takes another day or two to get off the corner floor and notice in our boxes. No hustle like the FedEx or UPS teams. We deserve better.

Brian at Point Reyes Station, CA Post Office is amazing. He took the time this morning and ingeniously found a package of great personal value that I had incorrectly addressed...So grateful for his kind service.

these guys are awesome. That had a major staff turn around this year and despite a rough start they have locked in a legit workflow that keeps us islanders connected to the "Real World" outside of our lil bubble out here in the Reyes. Big man at the front desk is a champ! Always has the right attitude despite dealing with grumpy customers wanting to know why there magazine sub didn't show up when they wanted.
Honestly i think that its pure magic that my travel agent all the way over in Florida can send me a package at 8am mon morning, and that very same package shows up in my box the next afternoon...#WizardWork IMO
