Gallery Route One (GRO) is a nonprofit art organization founded by 25 artists in 1983, and currently maintains a membership of about 20 artists. GRO offers two exhibition programs: Artist Member exhibitions and Visiting Artist exhibitions, which focus on themes about the environment, social justice, and immigration. GRO offers one juried exhibition per year to outside artists and proudly presents the annual "Box Show" every summer to raise money for GRO's exhibitions and programs.GRO's community outreach programs include Artists in the Schools, the Latino Photography Project, Fellowship Program, and the Artists' Exchange (online artist's forum).
