This is the best uhaul store I've been to. Everything went quickly and smoothly both on checking in and returning equipment. This location is out of our way as we have several uhaul's that are much closer, but this is our new go to uhaul store!

I picked up a UHaul truck from this location recently. The owner gave us the keys to our truck and just told us to go outside and find the truck number that matched the number on our key. He didn't walk out to the truck with us. Turns out there was damage to the truck already and I ended up having to pay for it. I got the Uhaul home and loaded it up- I didn't sleep that night because I stayed up all night outside with the Uhaul to make sure nobody broke in or damaged it. When I took off, I paid for gas at the pump to make sure the truck was never left unattended. When I turned the truck in (at a different location) they said there was damage to the truck that wasn't there before. Even though it was already there, the other Uhaul had pictures to compare it that weren't up to date. Where that damage didn't show. So I was charged $290 additional to pay for this damage that was not my fault. Update on this review: Today somebody from Uhaul called and followed up on my review. They understood that I didn't cause the damage and refunded me the charges for the damage. That was pretty terrific! This leads me to believe it was truly an honest mistake and all is well that ends well.

ZERO stars. U-haul on Sunol. Don't try to rent anything for cross country for more than 2-3 days, and DEFINITELY don't use the website. Mandy's customer service skills (at the store) can use an OVERHAUL. Reservation was made in March to rent a tow dolly for 28 days. I checked the little box that said that indicates that I would receive a call from a representative because this was longer than normal. They notified us by email two days before that it would be two weeks. When I went down today, was told only two days. When I tried to explain the situation to her, she told me I would be wasting my time because she was the Assistant Manager and the Manager wouldn't authorize it. When I asked her to please let me finish, she tells me not to be so rude. When I asked how do they allow people to move, she says people usually only take 2-3 days to get there and then it's left there. When I told her I know customer service can suck sometimes, but sometimes all customers need to do is vent, she literally said, "There's no point. It's not going to change the answer".

The U-Haul vehicle and passenger pictured are shown in the middle of an illegal dump in East Oakland (U-Haul van BE 2574 G). The individual shown actually assaulted me for taking this picture and asking him not to dump in our neighborhood. I'm still bloodied and in pain from the assault. I tried calling U-Haul to let them know one of their vehicles was involved in a crime and was given the runaround. It seems U-Haul would prefer to remain ignorant of these things. I felt like they were totally non-responsive to my concerns, and they made me, a victim, wait an hour just to put me on a dead line. I just wanted you all to know what your neighborhood U-Haul is at least in part responsible for. Don't give a company business if they don't respond to complaints of their renters committing crimes with their vehicles.

Awful. I reserved a truck 2 weeks in advance and it was not ready for me at pickup time. They told me it was in Berkeley and I had to get a different size. The process took hours and the staff was very inexperienced. Do not do business here.

Ann is the BEST, seriously. The Livermore U-Haul screwed me hard, cancelled my reservation the day before I need my rental. Seriously, its Sunday and i need the equipment for a Monday morning pick up, who does that? Ann at the Pleasanton U-haul hooked me up with the equipment I need.

Terrible storage facility! I rented for 2 months and had to move again due to this place. The doors rarely work with your card. I had to wait for others to leave, walk to the front to get an employee, which is a long walk or go thru broken doors that you can find. Your card is supposed to be used upon check in and departure to de-activate a useless alarm on your unit. That NEVER worked. I would faithfully check in and out and have my card re-programmed by the employees and EVERY time I or anyone else opened their unit, you gotta stop, cover your ears until this blaring alarm quits. Quite sure my hearing was injured being there. They have a "re-use" area where people dump their broken, nasty garbage and aren't held accountable. This area attracts the HOMELESS LIVING THERE! Almost every time I went, they were rifling through it. I saw hoarded vehicles there all the time and the employees would just walk right past the same hoarded out car that was parked illegally and had been there for days. I filed a complaint that was completely ignored. Broken glass and other objects always in the loading spaces. Don't even try to use one of the bathrooms! Absolutely disgusting, and the stench!! OMG! I carefully opened all of them to get pics only and couldn't get home to shower. I notice an open energy drink can laying on top of a white blanket I had that didn't come from me and it had left a red stain. Picked it up and there was cigarette butts in it that also got on my stuff. (The top of unit is like a chain link fence.) I told the employee who came and took pictures. There was also a spray bottle of yellow stuff on top of the roof, they promised to get down immediately. I left and followed up w/the manager by voicemail and e-mail. Never heard back. A few days later I went back and this time found empty syringe wrappers, trash, and an open bottle full of URINE that had been thrown into my unit and splashed all over my things. The spray bottle was still on top of the roof. I'll end there, you get the point. The manager was very unresponsive, they didn't appear to be doing anything with the problems. This is a homeless mansion.

This is the u-haul you want to go to in the area. Do NOT go to the Dublin location. This location is better for a variety of reasons: newer, better service, competent employees who don't try to rip you off and overcharge to have a trailer hitch installed. So if you need a uhaul or uhaul service, save your time and go here. It doesn't even feel like the Dublin location is even the same company

First month is truly free.. they have key code access which is awesome and they provide dollys of different sizes to use. The bathrooms are always clean and the place is air conditioned and well-lit. I feel safe at this location unlike other storage units places that get creepy sometimes.

Excellent customer service. James was the staff who helped my mom out when we needed to rent storage space.. He was very courteous and did everything he can to get us the size of the storage space we wanted. He never pushed us to get something we don't want - he walked us through the different storage sizes that U-Haul has to offer and let us pick. The tricky part is sometimes the spaces that are shown available on the computer system are actually taken (might takes some time to reflect) so he was very helpful to try his best to get us the storage size we wanted. He advised us to wait a week or two if we are not in a hurry so that when that size storage becomes available he can contact us and help us reserve. James is awesome!! The whole staff team at Pleasanton U-Haul is always pleasant to work with and they are all very willing to help. Thank you all! :)

NEVER USING U-HAUL AGAIN. My reservation location was changed without my permission, this location didn't have my truck at 10 AM (somebody not returning a truck on time not in their control I understand). Sierra calls at 9:30 AM letting me know the truck won't be ready with no ETA. I called back at 10:45 asking the rep if any trucks are available in the area or there he says "No". Apparently the only reason I got through to this location I called back the number Sierra called from. She calls back at 12 PM telling me the truck is still not back. Sierra had no solutions, I asked for any available truck, she then tells me she can give me a 15ft truck that is available (so a truck was available at 10 AM when I asked not a 10ft like I reserved but a bigger truck). I picked up the truck at 12:15 PM with a 4 hour reservation, I had the truck back at 3:15 PM. I get the invoice and its shows a return time of 4:07 PM, fuel charge of $19.95 (how the f*c* do I get charged for fuel when I returned it with more fuel then I got the truck with?). This is horrible customer service and business practices. I couldn't get ahold of anyone at this particular location cause U-Haul has a generic corporate number that takes you to customer service with a long ass wait time, DIRECT NUMBERS FOR LOCATIONS SHOULD BE LISTED. I understand it's just renting moving trucks and supplies but damn can there be some level of professionalism, can employees be trained on finding solutions, providing better customer service, and not charging for fuel when the truck was returned with more fuel. Anyway this is pointless U-Haul executive management, hell the store manager probably doesn't even care as long as their check comes. NEVER USING U-HAUL AGAIN.

Bike riders who need a hitch this is the place to go. I have had them put two on my vehicles. Scheduled in advance and they are very busy, but still installed them in a timely manner. I also got Thule bike rack from them. They are nice and COVID-19 considerate.

I have 3 uboxes to be delivered, called the customer service and off course this people are a nightmare to deal with! I have to "schedule" the delivery today on the phone with an idiot, then the delivery driver DOES NOT WORK ONE WEEKENDS, yes only one driver to deliver the u boxes for the east bay ONLY ONE and there is more. The schedule delivery is not actually scheduled because this driver Lula will call you the day at the delivery to confirm and give you the time she will be delivering, so forget about scheduling your movers! Erica was the most stupid customer service I ever spoke with till today! UBox is a good concept run by incompetent people!

Generally I have been renting from U-haul Dublin Scarlet court location, and never had issues. But place screwed twice in two days. I have to say write something. U-Haul's reservation office made a reservation for me and I went and picked a 8x12 foot trailer for 24 hours at 4 pm on Friday 25th, 2018. I received a call after 3 hours from U-haul saying you have to return by 11 am because they made a mistake. I told them that I not going to but done by then, but lady got really nasty and hung up. Later someone called and said, it okay you can keep it. I rented a 5x9 trailer from Livermore on 26th. It was in pathetic shape. They told me that's the only one. Probably 50 years old, ply wood bottom that was cracked and gave splinters, rusted and bent sides, leaves in he trailer, looked like the whole thing was about to fall apart. When I tried to have it replaced, even after u-haul regional manager Belinda approved it and reserved a trailer, Pleasanton refused to give it to me. Manager at Pleasanton location was nasty and rude. Even though she could see that the trailer I have is in bad shape, dangerous to operate, and regional manager has approved already, still refused to do anything. She told me to take it back to Livermore. I have rented from U haul many times, but this was just horrible and put me and my family's life in danger.
