If you’re looking into Tri Valley Trainer I highly recommend Sara Salomon. She’s the absolute best trainer! Not only is she super fit, but she’s also super knowledgeable on the exercise you’ll need to meet your own fitness level. In my case, she was excellent in finding me work arounds for a prior injury I was nursing.

I love the group classes with Melissa. I've been attending for a few years now and always look forward to the fun, exercise and challenge. I feel stronger, more flexible and healthier knowing that I started my day with a workout. Melissa's classes are made for everyone; she adapts each exercise for all the levels represented in class. The 50 minute workouts are the prefect length and include a full body workout with weights, resistance, cardio, etc. Each day is a little different and challenges me in a new way. I actually look forward to working out. Something I never thought I'd make a priority is now something I look forward to and plan on doing for a LONG time! As we age, the importance of movement, flexibility, weight resistance training becomes even more important! Thank you Melissa and Tri Valley trainer for keeping me healthy!

I've been going to Tri Valley Trainer for 6+ years. It's how I start my day. No matter how tired I am I get up to go to to class with Melissa and I've never regretted it. Last year I injured my back and could barely move for 4 months. After trying everything from physical therapy, chiropractic therapy, cryotherapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, nothing really helped. I did some personal training with MelIssa and she got me back on my feet. Today although I still suffer from my injury, I'm back in class 4 to 5 days a week. Although I don't do exactly what everyone else is doing, Melissa takes extra care to make sure I'm still strength training but protecting my back. I recommend Melissa and Dan to anyone who wants to get in shape and stay healthy.

The small group fitness classes at TVT with Melissa and Sara have seriously changed my life over the past six months. When I first walked in to this gym I could tell that the people around me had been coming here for years, which really says something about the quality of the community and the workouts. As someone who used to hate group fitness classes because of the pressure and judgement I always felt, I love the friendly, un-intimidating atmosphere of this gym. Even if you're entirely new to fitness, the classes are easy to follow and everybody works at their own pace. Small group classes are designed around different styles of strength training for each day of the week (think TABATA on one day, circuits the next day, EMOM after that) and incorporate different props (dumbells, medicine balls, trx, etc.) so things don't get boring after you've been going for a while. The 45-minute class with about 5 minutes for warmup and cooldown is just enough to challenge you without exhausting you. As somebody who has a love-hate relationship with cardio (emphasis on hate), these classes also got my heart rate up without causing me to swear off exercise forever - not to mention the crazy affordability for the number of sessions that are available. Whether you strength train regularly or you haven't picked up a dumbbell in years, give this gym a try. You won't regret it!

Dan is super fun to train with. He's aware and conscientious not to injure this old athlete, by being very selective and specific about form, exercise choices and explanations. I wouldn't choose anyone else!

This review is seriously overdue. I have been a regular at Melissa's small-group training classes for a few years now. I am amazed by her ability to always present a new and challenging workout. Furthermore, I have body area that I need to treat with caution, and she always remembers to give me an alternate exercise to keep the area injury and pain free. Most importantly, I have tried going to gyms on my own, but I am unable to maintain my focus and motivation. Melissa keeps me going toward my fitness goals and keeps this old broad from feeling like an old broad. The class is comprised of people of all ages and fitness levels, so no one needs to feel uncomfortable or self conscious. I wholeheartedly recommend trying out her classes for a trial week.

Living in Danville, I wasn't sure about driving 20+ minutes for a workout. That was 18 months, 32 pounds and 3 inches ago. Melissa's Club TVT classes are amazingly effective in both time spent and results. And Melissa & Dan are not only top-notch personal trainers, they are awesome people as well. Worth every penny.

TriValley Trainer is by far the best workout in the Tri-Valley area. I have been a client for several years now, and am in the best shape of my life. Their workouts vary, never get boring, and accommodate all fitness levels and abilities. Plus, the atmosphere is inviting and very personalized. I highly recommend that you give it a try.

I highly recommend this place for your fitness goals. The owner/trainers are very knowledgeable and use thoughtfully-planned exercise sequences to meet your goals in just 45 minutes a day. They pay attention to your form and execution so that you get the best result in less reps, and you learn the tools you need to do the exercises correctly at home, on vacation, etc. I was in the Club High Noon class for 3 months and am now in the morning/evening classes. This gym has a comfortable vibe with nobody yelling at you to do more reps, they actually want you to rest if your heart rate is very high or you feel lightheaded, and they don't play weird dub-step or EDM at intolerable volumes here. It's just relaxed and fun, and that makes it easy to come back several times a week. This may not be a large, fancy gym with a climbing wall, pool and sauna, or lots of fancy equipment, but the focus is on getting to your goals. You can't get onto a treadmill, put your earphones in, and zone out on the TV here; this is a place where whether you are taking a class or getting personal training, you are getting the attention you need to make results happen.

For years, exercise was nothing more to me than a necessary evil to better prepare for sports or manage my weight. It was never meant to be fun, and then I met Melissa at TVT! I had never used a personal trainer before last October, but I can't imagine a more positive experience. Her passion for fitness is contagious; this is not an exaggeration. She focuses on my fitness needs and pushes me to limits where I couldn't or wouldn't push myself. But that's just it: she knows I can do it! Every session with Melissa has the perfect balance of variety, challenge and intensity. Any previous reservations I had in the gym have disappeared and my confidence and enthusiasm for exercise has never been greater--all thanks to Melissa. The dedication she has to her clients is unparalleled and I have the results to prove it.
