I can’t believe I haven’t written a review before but I’ve been coming here almost monthly since the pandemic started . This is my home away from home and the folks who work here , my family . There’s no where else I’d stay , and they everything you’d ever look for in a high class resort . I love the holiday decor, bkfts, quiet. Wonderful caring staff. Can’t say enough. I’ll keep coming for as long as I can drive from my home in the Sierra’s.

I have stayed in many hotels over the years. I would rate this as one of the best hotels that I have stayed in over the years.
The attention to detail is amazing. The staff was exceptional. The decor is beautiful. The rooms are so well appointed.
If you are traveling to the bay area treat yourself and stay at the Rose Hotel.

Where to begin.
We've been home for four days and my family and I are still gushing over The Rose Hotel. We've stayed in a number of nice hotels over the years, and never have we seen such charm, nor had we experienced such top tier customer service from the staff at the front desk, the gentlemen serving breakfast, and housekeeping. All of the attention to detail and service pours right into the guest at The Rose. We stayed for four days and each day, we were blown away by a level of care that was just exemplary.
In particular, Phyllis, who we believe is a manager, took it upon herself one day to give us a ride to the wedding, which my children were standing in, and I myself was officiating, as Ubers were 20 mins away, causing us to be late if we waited for them. As my husband and I were discussing this in the lobby, Phyllis overheard and simply told us to get in the car, she was driving us to the wedding! We were taken aback and utterly touched by her generosity. Thank you so much for getting us to the wedding, Phyllis.
Other honorable mentions: I sent an amazon package to the hotel before our arrival, and Melissa at the front kept it safe for me; Melissa also printed and hole punched my officiant's speech as I nervously prepped; and another young lady whose name I regret not asking for, made the downstairs sitting area warm and cozy by turning on the fireplace for me and a friend, as we chatted one cold evening.
The staff were graciously attentive and went above and beyond any expectations, that I felt compelled to leave this review.
From the moment you enter The Rose Hotel, you are greeted by the grand staircase and acutely aware that this hotel is set apart from the likes of nice, but oftentimes cold, chain hotels. For all of The Rose's grand, stand-alone charm, it is warm, inviting, and feels like home. No doubt all thanks to the entirety of the staff that fills that beautiful building.
The Rose Hotel is worth its weight in gold and we're currently thinking of reasons to return to it one day.

We stay at The Rose Hotel every December. It’s perfectly located in downtown Pleasanton with lots of shops and restaurants within just a few minutes’ walk. The outlets are just 15 min away and are always fun. Parking is easy and there are even free charging stations available to guests only. The rooms are fantastic - spacious, quiet, windows that open, large bathrooms with separate water closet and soaking tub, daily cleaning service and turn down, 2 comfortable chairs, cozy blankets and very comfortable beds. I often don’t want to leave the room. The bar downstairs is perfect for before and after dinner drinks - they even bring popcorn and peanuts to enjoy while you sip your wine or cocktail. The morning breakfast is exactly what you need - nothing extravagant but with plenty of options from fresh fruit to smoked salmon to oatmeal to eggs benedict. Coffee in room (French Press) and in lobby is fresh and flavorful, tea options available as well. I always look forward to our annual visit.

I travel to CA frequently and always stay at the Rose Hotel whenever I can. It is always a superb experience. The hotel is small and very quiet. It is always immaculately clean with no heavy scents. The beds are very soft and comfortable. The bathroom has both a great shower with awesome water flow, and a bathtub. I love to have a relaxing soak at the end of my visits. I have stayed in the Grand King Suite which is beautiful, but usually just take the Deluxe King, which is very spacious and great for working and relaxing. There is a very small fitness center with free weights, elliptical and bike, which is ok for a light workout. For something more extensive you can get a free pass to the Bay Club (few miles away) which is amazing. The hotel breakfasts (included) do not have the traditional hot foods like omelets, etc, (no kitchen) but do have smoked salmon, meats & cheeses, bagels & pastries, cereals, which works for me. The hotel is downtown Pleasanton with at least 30 cafes and restaurants, plus wonderful shops, all within walking distance. Really a lovely area to be in as soon as you walk out of the hotel. The hotel staff (Sylvia, Melissa) are also super kind and helpful. I’ve left things behind and they’ll send them to my home and include some little hotel gifts. Lots of attention to details — fresh rose in every room, little treats everywhere (candies, fruits, water, etc). I wish I could find a Rose Hotel everywhere I travel.
