I am a diabetic who takes insulin. My insulin pump stopped working while I was out (a few hours from home). the only way to get my insulin into my body was to buy a bag of insulin syringes but the pharmacist refused to sell them to me without a prescription even when I showed him my blood glucose monitor reading "high" meaning that my glucose was too high for my monitor to even read it. I needed to inject insulin as soon as possible and this pharmacist was completely unhelpful about my situation. By the way, it IS legal to sell insulin syringes without a prescription to adults in California, this pharmacist just didn't want to. I'll never shop here again.

I had Prescriptions prescribed 4 days ago for a crushed leg for some Norco. They never called me to tell me that there was a problem with the prescription and it wasn't going through. The lady who took my phone call was extremely rude about it as well. I'm switching my pharmacy from this one. Totally impersonal and theY treat somebody who's handicapped with a crushed leg like trash.

This review is for my experience at the bakery. First off, yes i admit I love Safeway birthday cake lol. It's a nostalgic thing for my family and we get it for at least 1-2 birthdays a year. It used be a simple task ordering a cake from my local Fremont Safeway but now they're ALWAYS fully booked and in general have a super rude/bad attitude and declining quality in their cakes. This location is somewhat near my work and I ordered from here once since Fremont was fully booked and the folks at the bakery department went out of their way to make a special design for my sisters birthday and it tasted SO good! Even my family members who aren't into safeway cakes loved the cake and were shocked it was from Safeway. Though it's a bit out of the way for me, I always order from here now and appreciate the quality and service for special days!

I have mixed feelings about this store. It's clean and they always have everything I need when I shop here. But every single time I come here they have no baggers. I come here once a week every Friday when I get off of work because it's close. Every time, no baggers. I've been coming here for like 6 months weekly. I end up bagging my own groceries which isn't a big deal. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. The problem is the younger cashiers. They won't help you even if it's like 2 items. They just stare at you as they ring up the next person like you're the one holding up their line. I had this happen to me twice so far here and again today with Rick. It is too much to have to bag your own groceries, pay and then finish bagging while they ring up the next person while make you feel like you are holding up the line. I'm almost about to go somewhere else because this is happening too frequently.

This review is for the floral department. I was looking for an arrangement for a special occasion and Trina was absolutely amazing. She was a ray of sunshine and has a passion for her craft. She went above and beyond to make my arrangements extra special. I left happy with the prettiest bouquet.

Do not use this pharmacy! The main pharmacist is a horrible human being and does not do her job to fill prescriptions accordingly and makes up totally bogus excuses. I will not be using this place again

BEWARE ordering anything at the Starbucks located in this Safeway!!! My husband got FOOD POISONING. He ordered a pumpkin cold foam cold brew and a blueberry muffin on 12/17 at 9:19am. I called to let them know that they shouldn't be so careless & prevent this from happening to other customers. Sage was very rude and kept interrupting me and said, "I hear what you are saying but what exactly do you want us to do about it". To top it off, she hung up on me as I was talking. I called back and spoke to Eduardo, the Safeway store manager (since the Starbucks baristas in Safeway are considered Safeway employees). He was understanding and at least asked how husband was doing. Thats all I wanted, someone to hear my concern and make sure this doesn't happen to someone else. I do not appreciate the negligence in food safety practices and RUDE customer service at this Starbucks location. Buy at your own risk!

I've always had good experiences here. Maybe some people are too hard to please? Starbucks is always good (Thanks Sage) and the quick self check is great! Lily helped me today and I appreciated that. She is always helpful and knowledgeable. Angela too !!!! I will always shop here and I hope the management appreciates the staff here.

Pete, Monica and Mae are always kind, friendly, helpful and professional. They have well-deserved time off requiring less familiar staff to fill in which can slow things down. I've witnessed some very rude behavior from customers while the staff explained the situation and maintained their composure. Many thanks to Pete, Monica and Mae for making my pharmacy visits a pleasure!

Got a racist experience at this store today. When I was at the self checkout station, the staff immediately approached me and kept looping around my back. He walked back and forth 3-4 times so I started to notice that he was stereotyping me. He even looked into my cart to see what I'm buying. When I was about to pay, he came over and dare to ask if I have paid for the ice cream that my daughter was holding or not. Apparently I DID scan everything in the cart. I confronted him and he was pretty embarrassing. My skin color is different than yours doesn't mean I will steal from you. Wake up, it's 2022!!! This incident happened around 5:30 pm to 6 pm(Oct 5th) . @Store manager, please do what is right!

Calls to say your meds have arrived, then tell you that you don't have anything. Usually need to come by three days in succession until they finally find your prescription.
