I don't understand why a farmer's market is endorsing a political candidate? Gays eat vegetables, too, folks. I shouldn't have to put up with stares and hate speech as the cost of doing my weekend shopping. So of course, I won't. There's a Raley's just down the street, and they've never treated my husband or myself as a contagion rather than a customer.

The farmers market in downtown Pleasanton is a total vibe if you're after that feel-good, fresh air shopping experience. They've got everything from crisp fruits and veggies to lively flowers and fresh fish. Plus, they've got a bunch of cool novelty items to check out. But the real star of the show? Their wild mushroom popcorn. It's an all-season favorite and seriously, it's the best around! If you find yourself in Pleasanton, this market is a must-visit for some top-notch local goods!

This market used to be one of my "Go-To" markets, it was one of the larger markets, but its since decreased in size and available farmers booth.
There used to be options amongst booths, so maybe two or three vendor booths would carry berries. But as of recently there was only one booth with berries causing customers to line up, which ends up blocking access to other booths.
For the most part the food booths variety are pretty decent. I don't have the capabilities to cook where I currently live so, frequenting this market or any others has significantly decreased. I go when I need an item and can cook or consume it w/in a couple of days.
It can get busy and some of the shoppers are rude, pushy, arrogant and just not considerate of someone else's space.
Parking is pretty easy, there are a few lots and street parking, all free!

I love the market. It's wonderful to be able to buy freshly picked fruits and vegetables every week.
Still a good place for fresh fruit and vegetables. Nice that a lot of vendors come out even in the rain.

I've been riding my bike here Saturday mornings. If I had to drive, it might be an inconvenience, but if you get here early, you'll find everything that you need. Otherwise, items do run out by the end of the day.

We enjoy walking through the farmers market on Saturday's on our way to Cocino Mexico for lunch. Particularly like stopping by Bernal Bakery for a loaf of freshly made rye and a couple of peanut butter cookies, the best cookies we've had, ever. The people working there are quite friendly, like you've known them forever, we appreciate that. Nothing like a friendly community. All though we don't live in Pleasanton we make drive as it's well worth it. We start out our day from Castro Valley to San Leandro for the produce at the Bay Fair farmers market (they have the best selection of produce that we use) then out to Pleasanton for Bakery goodies.

I decided to make a brief visit to the farmer's market today, arriving at approximately 11:20 am. I noticed that the majority of the stalls were dedicated to offering an array of fresh fruits and vegetables, while one specialized in selling an assortment of fish. Unfortunately, there was a limited selection of prepared foods available, consisting primarily of popcorn and chips with hummus. Nevertheless, this quaint little farmer's market is an excellent destination for acquiring fresh, locally-sourced fruits and vegetables.

Wonderful time here, I only wish they took cash or credit cards. Lot of food to choose from while you look around.
