Patelco Credit Union in Pleasanton is great. I am really sorry to see that they are closing this branch. I have been a member for more that 15 years and they have always been helpful and willing to assist me with my banking concerns. In particular Ellen Chase is outstanding and more helpful than i can say. No matter what i needed assistance with she always was helpful and assisted in a postitive way. I will miss the branch and in particular Mrs. Chase.

I was recently in the market for a new certificate of deposit (CD) and after reviewing the various rates of local credit unions, and major baking institutions, I found Patelco Credit Union had the best rates available.After completing my research, I went to the Patelco Credit Union branch in Pleasanton. Even though I did not have an appointment to open an account/membership, I was seen within minutes. I was fortunate enough to be assigned account representative Karmela Guno. Karmela Is absolutely a credit to Patelco Credit Union. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and explained everything to me. She made the process simple and easy. Karmela has a natural way about her, and it seemed like visiting with an old friend. Karmela explained all of the various banking services they provide, but did not push them on me, which I really appreciated. Based on everything, I can see myself using Patelco Credit Union for future financial products and services.

I rarely go inside the branch for services but I was in the market for a new car and wanted to inquire about getting pre-approved for a loan and finding the best plan to get all my finances aligned. I have to say, Neelam and Valerie were wonderful to work with and provided stellar service. They were very helpful and communicative during the entire loan process. Both were super knowledgeable and made the process quick and seamless. Thank you Neelam and Valerie!

Stay AWAY from this credit union. Their customer service is atrocious, extremely long hold times, people don't call you back, and they don't do what they say they will do. Example: when they "rolled my registration fees" into my auto loan, they increased the auto loan amount *without* refunding to my checking account the amount I'd paid out of pocked to DMV on registration, which is what had been promised by my loan officer. In effect, Patelco DE FACTO stole money from me. Outrageous. I cannot even begin to describe the incompetence of this maneuver. Perhaps they will resolve it, but the mere fact that they did this speaks volumes. I have worked with other credit unions that are vastly more professional, responsive, and competent.

Great Customer Service, very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Valerie the manager, is pro-active and in tone with every customer. Staff takes a personal interest in every customer. Maximum wait time has always been less than 5 min. I love this branch !!!

Patelco Credit Union has been my bank for more than twenty years and they (San Mateo Branch staff) have treated our little family great. Recently, We tried to refinance a used vehicle purchase with one of Patelco's staff from the Loan Office (not the San Mateo Branch). The way this staff dealt with us was below what we expected and it was concerning, so I voiced my concerns to Patelco Credit Union and other avenues. Patelco Credit Union responded to my concerns promptly and they made an exceptional effort to make us feel that we matter to them. Thank you Patelco Credit Union for hearing our concerns and for all your help. We are currently members of the San Mateo Branch and we are very happy with all our folks there. Especially, Christina and Cindy. Hope you all stay blessed.

I use the ATM all the time and it works fine. I also often go inside for other banking matters, and they always seem to be very helpful. Their app is also very good. I can use the app most of the time for transactions like depositing checks or transferring money to other accounts. It also has Zelle for money transactions. It also seems secure with two-factor authentication. It seems like the employees are nice people, trying to help other nice people. I used to do my financial transactions at a bank and was always very disappointed by long lines and bad attitude. This credit Union is by far better. I have also used other ATMs in the Bay Area and gone inside to use the branch in San Francisco. Always good results. And the Patelco Sports Park on Bernal Avenue is proof that Patelco invests in the community. Compare that to what banks put their money into, which is their pockets. I could never figure out why there were so many employees at the bank and yet so few people actually helping customers. At the credit union, most of the people working are helping other people all the time.

All my questions were answered and my concerns were put at ease. Damaris was super helpful thank you so much. For those of you complaining have you gone into other banks they were not helpful at all and rude. Every Patelco I have been I have gotten great service accept East Castro Valley Blvd they seam not too helpful.

Over-all I am a happy member with Patelco Credit Union. Today, however was frustrating. I called into the 800 Phone support line to get assistance with a shot card. Once I indicated “Card Services,” there was not clarity on how to get to someone who could assist me with my questions regarding my debit card. I finally did speak briefly with a person named “Nancy.” Nancy was annoying in voice tone, lack of competence, and disinterested in assisting me.Just to hep you all out, it’s extremely annoying when I am asked as a member to input my member account number, social security number, then wait on hold, get someone who then wants to ask me all over again for the same information I input on the automated system. Clarification is fine, unnecessary redundancy is annoying, and makes me feel as if the person isn’t paying attention. Nancy had a disinterested tone of voice, and only wanted to quote me Policy, and was of NO help whatsoever. She should be placed in a comfortable back room counting beans, or doing something that doesn’t entail member interaction. Why is she even working with the membership?

If I could give them zero stars I would. The customer service is anything but. The tellers are rude & do not care about their jobs, they say so. They will tell you that they won't be fired because nobody wants to work at this branch. Do better Patelco.

Superb service! I’ve been a client for years but never have I felt any Patelco Branch offer such courteous and consistent follow up. A special thank you to Valerie who was the representative helped me!! My go to branch moving forward!
