My mom and I got our dresses tailored here for my brother’s wedding and she did an amazing job! The dress I bought was loose around my waist and chest and she made it fit perfectly. Definitely recommend :-)

I have been using Monika's for alterations for many years now. The quality of work is fantastic. I've had hems done, sleeves reworked and a wedding dress alterations. I've never been disappointed and always recommend Monika's when asked.

I came here to get my bridal gown altered back in April 2023. This place was recommended by Trudy's bride where I got my dress. The lady charged me a total of $750 for the hem, a sowed bra, tighten up the shoulder sleeves, and made it tighter! I thought it was over priced but still decided to go with her since it was the closest place in town and the place was known for bridal gowns alterations. The customer service was a 1! She was not professional at all she had me drive an hour traffic just for her to tell me she had forgotten to do my dress and that I would have to come back!! Mind you this was 2 weeks before my wedding!!!!!!! She was so laid back and reassured me it would be ready! I went back a week later and the dress was not even fitted! The sleeves were loose and she assured me she had done the work. Well if she did it wasn't a good job after all! Finally my last fitting 4 days before my wedding, my dress finally fit and I was so glad I was finally able to leave and not deal with her ever again! So the stress she put me through was not worth it at all!!! I am not sure if she's the only one that works there because if she is, she needs help! Actual work: 4 stars Customer service: 1

I've been using Monika's for my alterations for as long as I can remember! I used them to alter every prom dress I ever wore. Now we bring my daughters prom dresses in for alterations! Their work is impeccable and your garments are always ready in time! It's always been a great experience using Monikas for all our modifications to our apparel, that includes dresses, my jeans, my husbands favorite north face vest. I really recommend Monica's for all your alteration needs! I am super great full for Monica's meeting all our needs in a friendly timely fashion. My daughters prom dress fit her like a glove and she looked so beautiful thanks to Monica's amazing work! Please do keep in mind that spring and beginning of summer is Monika's busiest season with proms and weddings so it's really helpful to go in a little early at this time of year! Monika's is the best for us to use them for over 20 years!!

I have worked with Lyn the new owner at her past locations for years... She is AMAZING... IM SO happy that you have a larger space in Pleasanton. If you have never used Lyn before... she is an amazing seamtress and professional.. Everything she does for me professionally, suits and personal clothing is impeccable. WOULD never go anywhere else. In fact when I buy suits or other clothing I never have the instore alteration people do the work.. I always bring them to Lyn@,,, Thanks Lyn.....

I wish I could give this place a zero star!! . My dress wasn't altered the way I wanted it. When I went for a fitting I asked if the straps could be tightened because it was falling off my shoulders. Also didn't like the way she altered my slit . Originally I was quoted 120$ and just for tightening the straps she charged me additional $20 so my total ended being 140$ !! she got my card for payment and few seconds after I changed my mind about fixing the straps because I could do it myself .She immediately tells me ," Oh well I already charged your card". I was pretty mad and just walked out the store!! Once I sat in my car I thought what the heck did this lady say ? So what if u charged my card she could've voided the transaction but she didn't want it. Save yourself a headache and find someone else that won't rip you off !!

Paid $50 for a simple hem and when I picked it up they hadn't even ironed my garment. Alterations themselves were fine but I don't think I'll be returning. Overpriced and I expected more for what I paid.

My best friend's wedding dress was too small a month before her big day. Sidiqa immediately reassured her, since she was so anxious about not being able to wear her beloved dress. After heading over to Pleasanton for her first appointment, Sidiqa quickly determined that this would be no problem, resolving to add a corset in the back. It was at that time that I learned that she'd made costumes for Cats on Broadway--so we were talking to a pro. Sidiqa finished everything in time and put my friend at ease throughout the entire process. Her dress was beautiful, and we all agreed that it looked better with the corset! To all the brides out there--Sidiqa will take care of you from start to finish with beautiful, detailed work!
