They have improved a ton since the last time I was here. The rooms are still a bit dated but the bathroom was nicely renovated. Still a great place to stay during a quick SF visit.
Nearby activities: It is in the middle of everything. With the expressway right next door it is easily one of the best locations for a hotel.

I was in disbelief that a room this great was available on a Saturday for $87 total.
It was a last-minute booking, but I had time to look at reviews and thought it was a good gamble on a new to me hotel.
Our room was on the 1st floor. The window opens, which is nice.
The room is very spacious.
Impressed with the full-size refrigerator, walk-in closet, and big bathroom.
The bed was also comfortable for us. We're not fond of a firm mattress.
The room was very clean.
However, there was an "odor," and it seemed like bug spray.
After opening the window. The smell went away.
There can be noise from the parking lot and the nearby intersection, but we did have the window open.
We were very impressed, my last stay, i used the double tree hilton nearby, unfortunately my room and hotel had a mouse problem.
We will definitely book again when we return.
Rooms: Very spacious
Comfortable bed
Practical kitchenette
Smart TV
1st floor windows open
Walkability: Lots of nearby restaurants and a lucky grocery store 4 minutes away

The rooms are very old and the locks usually cause problems. The breakfast area is very small with hardly any tables or chairs. I only recommend it for the location and price.

This room this hotel. I highly recommend they even have dishes for you to cook with but not know until the last day I was there. But that's okay because I hope to return soon. TV was nice. No static. The sound was clear. Rooms had no smell. Full-size fridge, microwave, coffee pot. Great location. A few good restaurants surrounding this and a food market. Also has a great upscale market that sells wine and other goods. The staff was very helpful. Professional the breakfast more than meet the standards. The black tea was good. The food was good and the lighting was perfect. There's also an outdoor patio with a nice fire to sit down with friends or family to relax and enjoy a nice conversation.

Check in was welcoming and wonderful by Juliann. The “heathy start breakfast” did not even have juice. Barely a decent continental meal. Fitness room had only had weights 25 # and up. When using the thread mill, it shorted out the electricity in the room and lobby next door. No mention of the grocery store service as mentioned on the check in card AND no fresh baked cookies were in sight or smell in the evening as mentioned. Rooms were really in need of upgrade. Many lights were not operational. We only had 1 recycle bin in sight. Where was the garbage can in the bathroom? Soap dispenser in the bathroom was in one end of 8’ counter. Sink was in the middle of that. Reaching over 3’ for soap was a little ridiculous. Finally, check-out was horrid. Girl in picture was on her phone for 2 mins until I leaned over and said, “Excuse me…”. She had her half cup of pink boba and waffles on the counter. Guess that was her breakfast. Can you imagine how long I would have waited otherwise?
Rooms: Old and needs updating. A few of our lights didn’t turn on. Cabinets in bathroom were peeling. Shower needed to be cleaned. Towel to service 2 when we said we had 3 in our group.
Safety: We had shady people hanging out by the side entrance doors. Enter through the main for safety.
Walkability: You can walk to smart and final the open mall next store. Not much otherwise.

My stay at Larkspur Landing in Pleasanton, California was nothing short of exceptional. The General Manager, Ms Amanda Arabe, sets an impeccable standard for hospitality that resonates throughout the entire establishment. From the moment my son and I arrived, the front desk staff greeted us with warmth and efficiency, making check-in a breeze. The housekeeping team ensured that my room was immaculate, with attention to detail that surpassed my expectations. The breakf experience was equally delightful. The kitchen staff provided food that was both delicious and cleanly presented. Furthermore, the maintenance team deserves commendation for keeping the property in good condition. Any minor issues were promptly addressed, showcasing their dedication to guest satisfaction. Overall, my stay at Larkspur Landing was truly memorable, thanks to the outstanding leadership of Ms Arabe and the exceptional service provided by every department. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a warm, seamless and hospitable experience in Pleasanton.

This place is a bit dated. With old broken rooms with poor repairs done and a housekeeping manager that seems to have an authority complex (he wants you to know he is in charge) and a location where you are fighting with chick fil a and in n out for parking you would think that the service would make up for it. Well, it doesn't. The heat and serve breakfast with equipment that barely works is not worth mentioning (breakfast included) in your rate as a selling point. You are hardly acknowledged when you walk thru the lobby. They were selling $85 online but I missed the midnight time so I had to book direct to stay that night and was charged $139. The night manager told me to come back and talk to them in the morning and they will adjust my rate. The lady in the morning said she could not because he charged my entire stay in advance so she can't do it. That I would have to talk to him at night. I went back to talk to him and he said "oh man, I just ran the audit so I can't help you. You will have to talk to the GM to get a refund. End result is that I was staying 2 nights and both were selling $85 online but charged us $139 for each nught. Actually I was given a small discount for the first night. Then when we were going to check out we went to get a luggage cart and the GM some young girl came running out of her office to tell my wife that she could not take the luggage cart without leaving he drivers license. What? I have worked in hotels for about 25 years and have worked for every brand, limited service to luxury full service and independent boutique brands and never have I heard of such a thing. With our bags being stolen just days before neither of us had a drivers license with us so we had to take a bunch of trips to the car. That was not easy as both of us have pretty severe injuries right now. All in all this place was a bit dirty (if you look in the corners of anything), broken hardware like doorknobs and service that is spotty at best run by a young inexperienced lady that this must be the first and only hotel she has worked at that over charged us by at least $50 per night and insulted us at check out. I would probably recommend the motel across the street before this place. They did things that I have not seen done in 25 years of hotels. Very disappointing stay.
Rooms: Dingy, dirty, and dated
Food & drinks: Better off to go out for breakfast and no gift shop for snacks.
Noteworthy details: You have to pull up in the doorknobs to get into your room. It's worn out but their response is ya we know but it works if you just pull up.

We’ve been on a 3 week road trip from Austin to SF. So have stayed in a lot of places along the way. This place for the price was just great- kitchen facilities in the (large) room, wide corridors, clean and the welcome from the manager was genuinely warm and friendly (I think her name was Amanda). I haven’t bothered to write many reviews but this place deserved it. And by the way- if you’ve got a chance go to Maverick’s country bar- what a fun atmosphere of country dancing (even better than the places we visited in Texas) one of the best cultural experiences we had on our trip.

I booked a room here because it is conveniently across from Tommy T’s where I had tickets to see a comedian. I am not from the area and my previous experiences in a larkspur landing have been fabulous… but this one was a complete mess. It needs a major remodel and attitude change of the staff. When we arrived no one was at the front desk. We waited along with a lady in front of us wondering where the staff was. We heard a loud conversation next to the desk in the “manager’s office” so after about 10 minutes of no one helping my husband knocked. The young lady, Amanda I believe was her name said she would be a minute and the janitor lady in the office with her gave my husband thee ugliest dirty look like he was bothering them. We literally all stood there for another 15 minutes! I was so frustrated! When Amanda came out she did do a quick apology and just sent us to our room. When we got there it was disgusting. Everything is very outdated. I mean it felt like I was back in the early 90’s with the cabinets and appliances. The bathroom was dirty it had a black ring in the toilet the linoleum tile flooring in the bathroom was not laid properly so it moved when stepped on. I just felt disgusting. I was looking to lose out on the money and book another hotel but my husband convinced me to stay. I wish I took pictures of the room but I was just in a hurry to drop my stuff off and leave the room to enjoy Pleasanton! I only took a pic of the front desk (while we waited 20 mins for a staff member). It should of been a key indicator that the rooms would also be a hot mess! Never again will I book a room here if I visit the beautiful city.

My only negative is that the smoking is right by the doors. So if you get a room near a door( 2windows away), like I did, and expect to open your window for fresh air... bad move.. So much for fresh CA air!!The breakfast was plenty nice. Actually stayed 2 nights, and had a different choice each day.. that was nice.Rooms were fine. Walls a tad thin, I could here even Norma conversations from the next room, but, guess they had to listen to my snoring, so that evened out!!!Location was great... decent bang for my buck. Fulfilled my, around $100 a night, priorities..Rooms: It is a kitchen room, so it had a full size refrigerator that was nice. I didn't cook, but guess if your going to stay for a week or more, it'd probably be a great deal...

FREE LAUNDRY! First time in Pleasanton and this booking was made on the fly. I did not know what to expect but Larkspur Landing about multiple locations in the west coast. Overall loved it! The room are a bit old but they are super comfortable. They have a massive table for working and nice office chair. The bathroom is spacious and the shower on point with the water pressure. The AC seems to have sensors and works phenomenally . The room Is equipped with a full kitchen and fridge. The breakfast is a simple bagel cream cheese, egg, sausage and coffee option. There’s also morning pastry’s with cereal. As well as a juice bar. The fitness area is small but complete saw weights from 15 lbs to 25lbs plus and a treadmill and other machines. This hotel is perfectly located next to a chik fill a so you can walk there and bring it back without a car. You have multiple places to choose from to order food from. The customer service is like if I was at home. The whole hotel is cozy and like they advertise it feels like home. There is great laundry machines that they offer for free ( I’ve never seen this in a hotel). The front desk was nice and communicative. Shout out to receptionist Vanessa for helping me with a confusion I had with my booking.Overall definitely worth a stay if you are in this area and believe me you will feel at home because they do make you feel like home away from home with all the amenities.Rooms: Spacious and cozy.Food & drinks: Near many food places.

Worst hotel experience ever. Don't bother staying at this place. The graveyard front desk agent, Kevin, seems to take great joy in treating guests like hardened criminals. I gave him the benefit of the doubt after my first stay, as I figured maybe he'd just had a bad day. The second stay was worse. He actually seems to truly enjoy going out of his way to make every aspect of your stay as miserable as possible. I'd rather sleep in my truck than give my money to this place. As I had booked my room after midnight, I was not allowed to check in until 3:00 pm the next day. So I went to the lounge area to try to cancel my reservation and rebook for the same evening. Kevin informed me that I would have to go outside to rebook the room (in the pouring rain), as I was trespassing. I told him that I just needed a few minutes to rebook. Kevin was then kind enough to call the police, who reluctantly told me that it was his choice to force me to leave the property while I rebooked the room, outside of the hotel, in the driving rain. I will say that the officer (unfortunately I didn't catch his name) was nothing but kind, extremely professional and empathetic to the situation, and also politely apologized on behalf of Kevin, but nonetheless had to comply with his moronic behavior, as Kevin had accused me of trespassing. He did mention that this is not the first time Kevin has pulled this stunt. Consider yourself warned!!
