Took too much liberty with my money. Couldn’t wait to close my account. They even threatened to call my chief.

The folks at this branch of the credit union are very nice but beware if you are taking out a loan of any sort. That all goes through their LA office. Please read the horrible reviews of the LA branch lenders before you consider borrowing with this credit union. I wish I had.

Firefighters First Credit Union excels at all your banking needs. As a member, I've always been impressed with their customer service, high level of professionalism, communication, and financial services. They handle their inquires fast and make things easy for their members to understand. I also really like their app and use it frequently for depositing my checks. I highly recommend them for all your banking needs.

* update Misty reached out to me and they authorized the transfer of the appraisal to the new loan company, so there's that. It was a good move and I appreciated it. I must say I still don't recommend this place for business but atleast they made this one thing right. Second review of this cruddy CU because they aren't done jamming me up for no reason. In my other review I explained how I was applying for a refinance on the home and the horrible experience I had with them not doing their jobs making me do a ton of leg work that was not required and also giving false information causing much duress to my family. Now I've found a place that's awesome to work with , Calibur home loans and placer title company. Having no issues at all with them, that FFCU was just making it a several months long ordeal of stress and hassle about. Fast forward now and my new loan is asking for the appraisal so I asked FFCU to release the appraisal that was done which took up my time not to mention the horrid experience I've already had with them...no surprise they refuse to release it since they won't be making any money off it despite the fact that I'm still technically a member, there was one account I forgot to close. Total disrespect and it's as if they are intentionally trying to jam me up every chance they get. A real estate lawyer advised me not to do business with them, that's how bad they are. I only know this because FFCU and their agents made it so hard to get anything done they themselves insisted i get a lawyer to interpret their crazy needs for the title. Which was absolutely unnessasary. This place is garbage, I'm a firefighter and a Veteran, I've never had so much trouble trying to do business with a place, they suck.

After 17 years in customer service before joining the fire department, I can honestly say ... Incredible customer service and great rates as! If you are eligible to be a member, take the opportunity to open an account and see what they are all about. It's super quick to do and you won't be disappointed!!!

As firefighters we understand the importance of customer service and attention to detail. That's why I give this business 5 stars, the flexibility and accessibility this credit union offers is more than I expected. Rose, one of the representatives answered all my questions (which I had a lot) accurately and honest. I had no idea they offered so many options: online/phone app banking, rewards programs, credit cards, direct deposit, auto/home loans, life/auto/home insurance policies, financial advisors, and more. Lastly another reason why I'm so satisfied, because putting your money into this particular bank/credit union establishment helps our brothers and sisters plus their families financially when they're in need it.

If you are a Firefighter or directly related to one, you can join this awesome credit union. No stupid fees for using your money, no harassing sales people, and friendly customized service. I've been a member for over 10 years and have save countless dollars from the private FOR PROFIT banks. All my cars are financed here, cause it's easy, and better rates. They even knock off 1/4 percent if you get the loan in your birthday month. Ask a big bank to do that. Yeah. Yearly dividend checks, again ask the big banks for that. They even have accounts for your retirement party, or station dues. Every firehouse in my department has a kitty account for staples and cable. Easy as pie! Pleasanton has the best people working there. They are my friends, and should be your too.
