I had been coming to this place off and on since 2008 without issue. Items were always done well. Most recent I brought some items in about a month before a wedding (men's clothing and women's). It was early May. The men's clothing was done well, no issue. My first dress, the sleeves were done crooked and one side was longer than the other. My second dress, the one for the wedding, was butchered. The sleeves had been ruined and the front wasn't done how we discussed. I literally had to go buy another dress with less than two weeks before the wedding. I brought it back because I assumed it was a one time thing and my order would be handled with EXTRA care after it. I brought it back assuming extra care would be taken. I come back the next day and thankfully the sleeves were right but the front was done wrong again. I was only comped the job for the dress and honestly I was surprised I didn't receive much of an apology or anything close to 'I'm so sorry for this, this is embarrassing we're going to take extra care and this will not happen again'. So I am out money from an extra dress and now I have to find a new place and pay more to have the sleeves on the other one fixed. I had already posted this review with a photo of the sleeves but not sure what happened to it. But anyway, I'm totally disappointed and it doesn't matter what time of year, when you have people spending their money and trusting you to do a good job but the item is ruined, I don't know how to trust this place again. I have sent many people here over the years and this place used to be the best. But the work that came out of this business and more than once was so surprising to me. I won't recommend this place anymore and for the near future I won't be coming back. Be wary of coming here, and don't bring one of a kind expensive items until you know you like what you see. Sad and unfortunate. Only 2 stars because of the previous years of good experience.

Great customer service. Quick and reasonable in terms of price. Brought some of my work pants to be cut short. Saw many people with beautiful gowns who were getting tailored . Definitely will try them for other services.

Essy's went above and beyond to tailor my wedding dress! A lot of work needed to be done to alter the bodice and I couldn't be happier with the result. I got so many compliments on the fit of my dress! I would highly recommend Essy's services.

So kind and helpful. I had a zipper that kept getting stuck. I took the piece in explaining it was for an event that evening. They took the item, replaced the zipper and insisted I not pay for the repair. So generous and thoughtful, they have won my business since that day. Quality work, great customer service!!

As my mother, my aunt were seamstresses all their lives snf my uncle was a dress designer (and excellent taylor) I appreciate quality work. Since they are no longer with us I feel lost when in need of garment repairs. Enter Essy's in Pleasanton. Abdul is a professional who does excellent tailoring and and alterations. He is a warm and pleasant man to work with and at a fare price. No need to look elsewhere.

I waited way too long to try on my bridesmaid dress with my heels! I always just assumed that my dress was going to be an okay length but the night before my 7 am (!!) flight to the wedding destination, I just so happened to try on my dress with my heels and found I was tripping on my dress! It was way too long. I called Essy's and explained to him that I needed to tailor my dress TONIGHT!! And (with some reluctance, at first, since it was so last minute) the kind man on the phone agreed, told me to bring my dress in right away, and it was finished in only one hour. Saved my life!!!! I greatly appreciated the help and understanding for my situation!

What a gentleman and amazing business owner. I took my mom’s old embroidered table cloth for a repair job and he handled the job and treated me like I was getting a $1,000.00 suit. He charged me $20.00 for the job. Huge accolades and admiration for this business and the nice owner.

They do a great job here. They're quick and easy. We have taken multiple items here to be tailored. Dance dresses, sports jerseys, regular clothes such as jeans and shorts. We have always been happy with their service.
