I had an outstanding experience with Custom Exteriors. I live in a condo complex in Dublin. From start to finish, I was treated with respect and professionalism. What an amazing experience! Before I dive into the "why," please note that If you are checking multiple sources for a review on Custom Exteriors, you will see my same wording across all those platforms. That’s to be expected. My review does not change based on the platform. I just want to point that out up front in case reading the same thing on multiple platforms seems odd. Okay, now on to the incredible review. ?
I highly recommend Custom Exteriors to anyone who will listen. We worked with Custom Exteriors to replace our front door. Everything from the initial consultation, to schedule updates, installation, and follow-up felt highly personalized with a smooth transition at every phase of the project. Jason Rugaard was our Project Manager. He came to our home for a free consultation, listened to what we wanted, and walked us through our options. We talked about our budget, and he suggested adjustments we could make based on our priorities so we could make the best choice for us. We came away feeling a lot more informed with absolutely no pressure.
We had narrowed our choice down to two companies: (1) Custom Exteriors and (2) another very reputable company (Company #2). After our first meeting, we emailed questions to both Jason and the representative from Company #2. Jason's follow-up was amazing. Jason replied within hours (if not within minutes) to our questions, and our subsequent questions. Regarding Company #2, I never heard back from them regarding our original questions, and that was June 9. It is now August 5. Company #2 is a good company, but they are also very large. In contrast, the high-touch experience with Custom Exteriors as a local, family-owned business made us feel confident we would never get lost inside a "big machine."
You may have stopped reading by now, but I still have more to say. :-) The handoff between Jason and scheduling with the team was great. We only worked with a handful of people, and everybody was wonderful. They were very proactive, highly communicative, and worked so well together. Our customer experience was seamless. They managed everything so I never felt I needed to manage anything. When it came time to install the door (which was ahead of schedule), the installers arrived on time. They were very personable, professional, and efficient.
I love supporting local family-owned businesses. Sometimes people think when we go with a bigger company, we might save money. But that was not the case! Custom Exteriors offered the same product for the same price as a much bigger and reputable competitor. More importantly, the feeling we had of being a truly valued customer was priceless.

Custom Exteriors recently replaced all the windows at my home. They done a pretty good job and managed to replace all 14 windows in a day. They removed all the old windows, cleaned up any mess before they left. One of the window replaced was slightly damaged and they agreed to replace it as soon as they have a replacement. Overall I was impressed with their work and overallp experience. I highly recommend Customs Exteriors if you are planning to replace your windows.

I hadn't noticed a defect in my sliding door from Custom Exteriors until long after it was installed. The warranty had run out. I notified the company, and regardless of the passage of time, they corrected the problem for me free of charge! I couldn't be happier.

For my home residence, I had Custom Exteriors replace all my windows and install new siding with insulation (none present before) using James Hardie fiber-cement board. With the new siding and windows, my home looks like new and can really see a difference in outside noise reduction and keeps the house much cooler during the hot summer days. The installers worked fast, efficiently and were quite skilled. Thank you very much!

I recently had two bedroom windows replaced and I’m very happy with the experience and final result. The overall process was fast and efficient (first contact until install complete took about 1.5 months). Price was competitive compared with two other quotes. The windows are good quality (Anlin) and I can already notice how much better they block out the heat. They did not try to upsell anything (like another company tried to very hard). Will definitely consider in the future.

The final product is good but the workers didn't show up as promised on two different occasions. Much confusion re scheduling the work and actually doing the work.
