Although it was many years ago, Darlene totally SCREWED me over. I didn't know what was happening until right before closing. When it was all said and done, the "bait and switch" was a win for her to the tune of $5000. She knew it and offered to loan the money to me to make the deal close and would allow me 6 months to pay...just in time for our variable rate loan rate to go up. This says a lot about her character. There are LOTS and LOTS or mortgage brokers out there. LOTS. It makes sense to use one that you can trust.
