i was rented a truck that needed service and they knew that and did not tell me about it and i feel like that put my life in danger because of the known problems the truck was very difficult to drive and that could have caused an accident

Wow. The customer service was absolutely fantastic. The woman that was there had such a great personality and her customer service skills were impeccable. I would recommend this place as they will go out of their way to help you. The truck rental was clean, sanitized and great condition.

NEVER answers their phone. After the 7th time of calling I decided to see how many times in a row it was 29 times I called and they didn't answer. They do have an answer machine that connects you to the National mines but then when you finally get ahold of somebody they want a reference number. How you supposed to give him a reference number when the people in Pleasanton don't pick up the phone. Lazy Lazy Lazy Lazy Lazy people working there. Even if they said be right with you and put me on hold that'd be good. For Budget to have a system like this I think I'll call Penske. Thanks budget for wasting so much time. No thanks

I had a truck online reservation a day prior of the pick, then one the actual day was told nothing was available. They told me that they left a voicemail for the cancellation but that's impossible because my phone inbox was full. This place is horrible and will never rent again from this location! Stay away!!

If there was less than 1 star I would have given this location. I am not sure how this particular office is in business with horrible attitude and customer misjnformation.. The employee that I had interaction with claims that she does not see my reservation, but both customer service agents could.Customer service agent Diane at 37511 made the day by giving me alternate pick up area.

DO NOT USE BUDGET TRUCK RENTAL. We rented a truck and a car trailer for our move from CA to TX. We went in twice to verify that the truck and trailer would be on site at designated time. We were assured it would be. My husband got there at 8am on pickup day. No one showed up to work. He waited until 8:45 and still no one showed up. He called and was told to go home and that they would call him in 2 hours once they found him a truck. Mind you we lived 45 minutes away. He drove back home and three hours later we were contacted. We were told that just because you made a reservation that doesn't guarantee a truck. All it does was guarantee the rate. They could not find our truck or trailer. We were advised to find another moving truck from another company. We had to be out of our house the next morning and be on our way to Texas. My husband decided to back to the original spot. A truck was there ready. The employee claimed she was an hour late to work but never contacted us nor was she sorry. Got the truck but then he had to drive another 45 minutes to pickup the trailer. He got to pickup the trailer but they were closed (we were told they were open) he then had to drive an hour home. In the meantime we had to get friends drive me to pickup our car that he had to leave at the first office. We were supposed to get the truck at 8am and start loading. We didn't get the truck until 3pm. The next morning he had to drive another 45 minutes to pickup the trailer. Mind you gas is over $4 a gallon in CA. We spent $200 extra on gas because Budget didn't have the trailer with the truck as our reservation stated. We ended up leaving six hours behind schedule the following day due to their negligence. Then a tire blew on the trailer they gave us. We sat for 3 hours waiting on them to fix it. When we finally returned the truck we contacted corporate for some compensation for their mess up. They were very rude. They made us call them back 7 days later while they investigated only to be told to call again a week later. They did offer us $200. That was all. They have now stuck us with a $700 bill for the blown tire. We had to spend two extra nights on the road and spend more money that way due to their negligence. The truck was old, it overheated and the transmission slipped the entire drive. Very RUDE customer service and not one person was sorry for for what we had to go through. I was appalled at how we were treated. ZERO stars for them.

I rented a car from this location in March. The attendant walked me to the car & pointed out that the car was missing a hubcap/wheel cover, and that she would note it on the vehicle rental documents so that I wouldn't be responsible for this preexisting damage. My mistake was believing this at face value and not verifying that this did get documented as she said it would, since Budget is now claiming that I lost the wheel cover. In June my credit card was mysteriously charged $94 by Budget. I reported this as fraudulent to my credit card since I did not recognize the transaction and Budget did not notify me about the charge (no email, phone call or text. Just a charge to my credit card). Attempts to get this resolved with Budget have been infuriating. This location does not answer its phone. I've called literally 20 times at different times of the day and it just automatically transfers you to Budget's corporate reservations number. Bottom line: photograph your rental cars before pickup and after drop off, and make sure any preexisting damage is documented. Otherwise the burden is on you.

Terrible customer service. That just ruined our day. I was reserved 26ft truck and the date online was available for the pick up. After that I received an email in one day before the pick up day but I'm not reading emails in weekends and missed that info. So they were just closed for the next day and I had no chance to do my move because they were lazy to take the phone and call me. Really upset about that.

Signed up to rent a car from Budget online. When I arrived at the scheduled time the staff were not aware of my rental. Turns out they did not have any vehicles available in the class that I rented. They only had smaller, less expensive vehicles available. When I asked to have the difference between what I paid for online and what I actually received refunded, I was told that was not possible for online bookings. I was directed to call their customer service number but warned that Budget's customer service is not very good. They were right. I was not very good. After 35 minutes on hold and being transferred to three people, I was able to get my refund. If I did not really need a rental care that day due to car repairs, then I would have gone somewhere else. Next time I will use the Enterprise located around the corner.

Rented a one-way truck online, paid with credit card, and even had a confirmation code. Booked my trip to fly into the area with the intent of driving the rented truck with my belongings to my new residence. Received a call from this business two days before my departure date that the truck I rented is not available! When I questioned how it could be available for rent if it truly wasn't available, I received an answer that there is no way in their system to prevent an unavailable truck from being rented! Moral of the story is if you use this location but call to confirm, or use someone else.

We are moving out of state, we reserved a truck and trailer a month in advance and the company even called two days prior to our pick up to confirm. We called this morning to see if we could pick it up a couple hours early only to find they did not have our trailer, they said they rented it to someone else. They told us if we wanted one we would have to drive far to another city to pick it up. After all was said and done they also refused to refund us our money for the trailer!!!! We have to leave in the morning, we ended up going to U-Haul for a truck and trailer. I will never use or recommend this company to anyone. They are fraudulent and a joke!!!
