My experience was disturbing. I came for a Covid booster. I had an appointment and I completed all of the paperwork online. The manager asked me what I needed and I told her I had an appointment for a booster. She told me to go to "over there", I said where is over there. She pointed to the other end of the counter and said the other end of the pharmacy. I went to the other end. She went to her computer and started looking up something. I assumed she was looking up my name for my appointment time. She then started engaging in a conversation with her co-worker.... for a period of time. I started to listen and it was casual business conversation as I was surprised she had me waiting so long. When she came to assist me, I gave her my name and she pulled my online questionnaire. She began asking me a number of the same questions that I competed on the online questionnaire. When she asked what arm I wanted the shot, I then asked her "Isn't all that information on the online form?" She responded by saying "Some people change their mind when they arrive."I realized by her treatment and attitude, I did not feel comfortable with someone who was treating me with such disregard to give me a medical shot. I asked for someone else to give me the shot. After my request for someone else to give me the shot, I had to wait for a number of minutes before someone came (although no one else was at the pharmacy). The experience was more offensive than I can articulate in this review, however, I believe the manager needs customer service training and/or sensitivity training.

I came out of the hospital and went straight to this pharmacy to pick up my prescription. The young woman was helping someone bring in covid shots and stood there talking to him for awhile. Finally she came to help. She said my insurance rejected the prescription and tried it a few times. I asked her to call the number on the back as Anthem Blue Cross has 24 he service. She refused to do it I was in pain snd had no phone to call myself so a $6.00 purchase turned into $26.00. I called the insurance and they said she entered it wrong in the system. It said I was to take 20 pills a day. Anthem tried to talk with the manager and the woman who was so sweet to me basically told me they didn't want to work with her that it was too late. Today someone called snd said they were willing to give me a gift card but the whole time she was arguing with me and blaming the doctor! Why didn't they call the doctor then if it was the way he wrote it up. Common sense tells you no ones going to prescribe 20 pain meds a day! Even after surgery. This woman was so terrible to me I had to hang up on her. I'm laying here in pain snd she's insisting the pharmacy did nothing wrong. I really don't care about the $20 it's just the worst I've ever been treated. I used to shop here all the time now it's such terrible customer service I will never go back

The dude and I came here on 01/17/21 to pick up a cake for the dudes grandpa who turned 93 years old! I was suggesting to the dude that we pick up the cake from a Mexican bakery as the cakes are less sweet and pretty tasty but the dude didn't listen. Due to the holiday most cakes were picked over already. The dude wanted to get a whipped cream frosting cake as it's lighter and most cakes looked like they were whipped cream but he doesn't listen to me and wanted to ask staff member which they were totally busy so we decided to try a Mexican bakery. But before we left we picked up two more bottles of wine for his grandma who is also her 90s as well. She is a fan of Red wine so when we come down to visit I usually have a glass or two with her. We also picked up a macaroni salad to go along with the meal the dudes dad was making. Overall, we didn't get the cake here but it was my first time shopping at Safeway and it was a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and wearing face masks. We didn't really explore the store as much as I would like but it is like an upscale Vons or Save Mart. As they have a deli and bakery section and probably more unique finds too! Would come back as they had a pretty goof wine selection and low calorie selezers.

All Safeway grocery stores need diversity and sensitivity training. As a black woman shopping, it is always awkward experience. Many employees do not address me and when I inquire about products I met with subpar service. Cashier experience is always cringe worthy. They usually mention my hair, speak in ebonics ,or talk about stereotypical associations with black people. It's very insulting and doesn't make me feel welcomed, rather mocked. I was sprayed by a water hose Dec.26

I normally don't have any issues with this Safeway, but today (Christmas) my son and I just came to buy water, right before closing, and was very rudely turned away by a petite, brown haired worker at the door. I'm a nurse, working during the holidays, with no time to cook or shop and had no drinking water at home. I can appreciate she probably wanted to go home, but her behavior was definitely uncalled for. She could have said they couldn't take in anymore customers in a more civil and courteous way. Hope she can get some customer service training to avoid making Safeway customers feel disrespected. #disappointed

Their curbside is pretty good. I have gotten the most complete orders from their curbside pickup compared to Nob Hill and Whole Foods. They were safe, gave clear directions, and the order was ready early. The deal on pork was also pretty good. It's really close to me so it works out pretty well. In general, this Safeway has a better selection than most, I make mostly Asian and Latin American style food, because my kid can't eat gluten, and they have a pretty good selection, including gluten free soy sauces and noodles. They often have nice green plantains, too, just don't buy them up before me.

I asked for an additional sandwich, and Nina got upset and started slamming things down and huffing. She was so nice when I had picked up flowers and a sandwich for my girlfriend maybe 2 weeks ago but today was just the complete opposite. Very Disappointed.

As a very part time employee, I chose to shop and eventually work part time here because it is the most efficient, clean Safeway in my area....

Long lines and not enough cashiers, not the most polite staff either. To make matters worse, the public restrooms are inaccessible as it's routinely preoccupied by drug users.
