Seeing how high the shipping cost was, he helped me find a smaller box and hacked it so my items fit perfectly into the box, saving me $50. “A much smaller post office with only one worker in the front but you'll get the customer experience that is severely lacking at all the other nearby post offices. The postal worker today was amazing. She was very nice - explained everything with detail and patience when I had questions. This office is a little more out-of-the-way for me, but I'll be using it regularly.”

“This is a really nice USPS store located in a nice, serene area in the Clayton Downtown area and next to a nice park, so the area was very green and surrounded by trees and plants. I went there on a weekend morning and pleasantly found that finding street parking to be super easy, and in fact there was a lot of parking available right in front of the store. I was able to conduct my business there and get in and out of the store pretty quickly. Definitely I would go to this USPS store again if I happen to be in the area.”
“Just had a knock on the door from our postman Steve. The post office found a package that should have been delivered tonight. He brought it to our home at 8 PM. He delivered our mail at 5. I think he was probably at home and he delivered it after hours. Thank you for going above what you needed to do. We live on Dundee.”

“I’ve read the reviews but my personal experience was different. This location is pretty convenient and the lady that helped me out was really helpful, kind and efficient.
Their system was down for about 5-10 minutes but the way she helped me made me feel comfortable. There are times that it upsets me to wait for “x y” reason but she was so nice, I wasn’t annoyed for the wait time or that I had to pay with cash”
“I am so grateful to the USPS Annex location. I called them yesterday to let them know I was expecting baby chics to arrive and I was worried about them arriving in the cool weather. They called me at 7:30 a.m. this morning, before they even opened, to let me know my chicks arrived. “I made an appointment for passport services for my 2-year-old daughter. We arrived on time and were immediately greeted by Dean. As we all know, the passport process can be confusing the first time around. Luckily, Dean was very knowledgeable about the process and helped us step by step with the application. Additionally, my daughter was afraid to take pictures and cried the whole time. Dean patiently waited and allowed my wife and I to calm our daughter down and get her to stand still. As a result, the picture came out great. Customer service is the most important aspect of a business, and Dean's customer service showcased his experience and job knowledge in customer service. The pride he took in his work demonstrated his commitment to his customers and inspire us to treat other with patience and respect.The only improvement I can think of is to have a designated area for passport picture. Like a chair with white background.”

“Passports! I had to get passport renewals for minors, and that can only be done in person. It was impossible to get an appointment anywhere, but they do walk-in passport applications here!!!
Here is what I learned and my pro tips:
-walk-in appointments MWF 9-10am ONLY
-They only take the first 20 people… (I don’t know if that’s actually just the first 20 passport, but I don’t think it’s groups)
-If you’re number 21, you’re gonna have to come back another day
-If you wanna make sure you are in that first 20, you need to get your rear end there *** early*** (the line was about 30 people along by 8:30 AM today)
-don’t think that you can show up at 9 AM and be fine, at least not at this time of year
-Come with everything already completed
-Use black ink only
-Better yet fill out your application online and print it out
-Don’t worry about passport pictures, they take them there and charge $15
-They take check or debit card for passports. No credit cards.
-They’re strict and very busy, so bring your patience, be polite and be humble to their process
-if you are eligible to renew by mail, just do it and save yourself the hassle

“So I've been having a hard time getting my new passport as I have a special case of providing my citizenship since i'm a derived-citizen. I've been to the Concord Post office about 5 times and none of the staff there were helpful at all! They kept requesting documents that I already had, and said my expired green card was invalid? But doing research I'm actually able to use my card as proof- Now we then went to the post office here in Martinez since it was closer, and the experience was so much different than in Concord. Staff was kind and helpful, they actually knew about my special case and knew the rules, saying indeed my documents were all validated. It was all done in less than 10min. ! The person who helped us was named Reya and she was the absolute sweetest. She pretty much guided us through the entire process, so it was wonderful experience.”
