h&r block fails on so many levels. from transferring to tax agents that have no experience with helping on specific issues, to no-shows for appointments, to zero accountability with returning calls from the local office staff to office and district, h&r block should be avoided at all costs.it is evident that this company is not interested in finding solutions but rather getting you in and out the door.it is now my mission to make sure all my business partners, colleagues, clients, friends, and family are aware of their vast deficiency and are advised to steer clear of this ridiculously ran company.even their customer service phone number hung up after waiting to speak to a 'live person' for over 10 minutes.horrible cannot begin to describe my company's experience with h&r block. i cant wait to talk to my attorney about the horrendous management of our taxes.

Short Review: If you value your time and money do not come here.Long Review: If I could give this place zero stars I would have. I had an appointment scheduled for 12 pm. I arrive 10 minutes early and check-in. 20 minutes pass. Another 20 minutes. I have now waited 30 minutes past my appointment. My "tax expert" has not even greeted me. I asked the receptionist and she says he isn't sure what's going on. Another 15 minutes pass by. Finally, I have to ask the receptionist if someone else could start (lucky, one other tax professional had her appointment canceled). We work with her and finish the exact same time our "expert" finished. That's right if no one was available he would have made us wait 1.5 hours past our appointment. Also what if there was another appointment after our, where they expected to wait 1.5 hours as well? After speaking with the manager all that was done was an "apology" and credit for $25 for next year. Please I will never return to this store. The $25 is more of an insult since that doesn't even cover a fraction of their cost. Thank you but not thanks!

Utter frustration with dealing with a wonky website and the service is way too expensive. Also, H&R Block is one of the primary reasons the IRS doesn't provide US taxpayers with pre-filled forms the way it's done in other countries, making tax season unbelievably tension-filled. My tax "professional" didn't speak English well, and I KNOW a lot of money was left on the table. Also, my tax preparer kept trying to get me to come into the office, in the middle of a pandemic, even though they advertise contact-free filing.

Don't waste your time . You are MUCH better off completing your online version with a blindfold on . They overcharge and do the BARE minimum . Also had to wait 30-40 minutes each time I scheduled (which was twice)

This was the most painful experience I have ever had doing my taxes Henry G was very nice but seemed like it was his first time he had no clue how to do any uber or door dash taxed how to pull them up and find information on mileage and tax stuff. We were her for 2 and a half hours!!! That's so insane for my wife and I! I barley worked last year to it was so simple nothing complex at all! And after I had to pay almost $400 at the end. The whole time it was extremely hard to understand his thick accent the entire time. Like I said he was extremely nice but I will not becoming back here.

THINK TWICE BEFORE USING THIS LOCATION!!!! I would give this location 1 star if it wasn't for our great tax preparer, Larry! He was awesome and I give him 5 stars. This location as a whole is what the 2 stars is for. We waited for Larry to come out for 30 minutes. Someone came back from break, Alex, and asked us if we needed any help. We said that we were checked in but no one had come out for us. He went back to where Larry sat and asked how much longer. Apparently the person who checked us in did not inform him we were there before he went on break. He was too paranoid about going on break! At this point our only option was to drop off our documents or reschedule. We rescheduled. The new appointment changed locations to Martinez. No one called me to tell me this so we showed up in Pleasant Hill. Alex informed us that he figured this was not correct and tried to reach out to see what was going up. He also informed us that the team lead, Marge, spoke with me to inform us the location was changed. I did not speak to anyone from H and R Block nor was a voicemail left to inform us of this change. The only information I had about my appointment was stating to was March 30 at 6:00pm at Carmel Plaza. So Marge lied. At this point I was fed up with the screw ups from this location! I was mad and frustrated and just over H and R Block. Larry still saw us in Martinez and we got our taxes done but it should not have been this difficult! Needless to say my experience here was horrible! Only Alex and Larry were the saving graces for this location! I will think twice before I come to this location again.
