I ACTUALLY HAD TO SUE THEM, AND WON. the worst possible experience with their dispute section, rude, abrasive, actually yelling at me. they received a credit memo from the merchant, citibank made an error in the amount, i asked them to correct and refund me the correct amount. they simply said no, and wouldnt refund anything ($1500), said the dispute was closed. after more than a year and hiring lawyers, they paid $2500, $1675 to me remainder to lawyer. what a despicable way to treat a customer of over 20 years.

I have a credit card through Citibank that I signed up for at a retailer. I came in to try and pay the bill today because the retailer said they could not locate my account. The banker told me since I don't have a bank account there I can't pay cash. She confirms that if I bring a check she will be able to help me. I went back to my bank and brought a check. They proceeded to tell me they could not help me. They offered ZERO assistance. Not to call corporate and try to help...THEY WOULDNT EVEN LOOK UP MY ACCOUNT. They did nothing. Yes I raised my voice, but I was very calm and kind when I came in and received zero assistance. Also the manager never stepped in. Which I consider to be an issue as well. I'm yelling at an employee in your lobby and you watch and don't say a word??? How dare you allow that to happen lol step in and do something. Protect your employee. Grow a pair. The 1.8 star average review checks out...

I have been a customer of Citi for 20 years today. They closed my credit card and didn't even tell me when I called customer service. They couldn't tell me either. They just told me that I need to wait for the letter and the credit cards companies have the right to cancel if they don't offer that service anymore. This is not how you treat customers I will be taking my money somewhere else and making sure I tell everyone not to bank with Citibank. The bank is also inconvenient. They closed a bunch of branches and their ATMs are at 7-Eleven's. Horrible customer!!! don't waste your time with this bank.

This branch is somewhat easy to get to and to leave, although access and egress is limited by a solid median on Contra Costa Blvd. The staff is friendly, efficient and professional.

Forget all the past horrible service we've received at this branch, today my mom (a wonderful lady in her 80s) went to this branch to deposit the CA Money Payment California just made to certain of the state's taxpayers. A woman and a man both told my mom she could not deposit the money associated with the Debit card to her account with their help. She had to go outside and use an ATM. My mom has NEVER used an ATM, and these people would not make the deposit for her. They are awful here! In addition, i just googled as to how the debit card may be redeemed. It specifically says "or get cash from a bank or credit union teller." This is how horrible these people are. Not only are the unkind and unhelpful to Citibank's customers, they are breaking the law under which the debit cards were issued. "Cash from a bank or credit union teller: You can use the MCTR card to withdraw cash at any bank or credit union that features a Visa logo."

They closed my Account telling that I commited a fraud about encashing my money thru a xheck given by my Atty.. I have to call the Unionbank... get info that they cleared my money. But still, they close my Acct. Went to the bank explain and after 2hrs of the Manager (she is gud btw) contacting the Fraud dept in the Phils. They issue me a new Debit card and apologize how the fraud dept screwed me about my checking account. Its started 19th aug. 2022, and until now... I havent open my citi mobile app because of that fraud they put into my Account. Calling them like 3hrs 23mins until now... No once can help me. 4 depts. And no one can assist me. F****** Circus!

Worst bank ever. Went into the bank to pay my credit card and was told they don't take credit card payments. What bank will not take your money. I think I need to pay off my credit cards with Citi bank and rip them up.

Came in to open an account which I received a promo for! Open acct w 200k and get 1500! Branch didn't look too busy but was told I'd need an appointment. The brown haired female had me write down my name and number to call me and to follow up to set an appointment. Over 2 weeks and no call! I'll be establishing my acct elsewhere!! I asked if I could fill out an application and leave it and was told I'd have to go online! Suprised me as I'm in the banking industry and we have plenty of new account apps printed!!

I am surprised by the negative reports. I went there today with a problem that turned out to be difficult to resolve. I worked with Banker Azhyade Avalos and she was terrific. The solution required multiple in house calls and her persistence. She fixed the problem same day when Customer Service on the phone blew me off. I am glad I went to this branch despite the negative reviews. FYI - do not open an account using the app.

The tellers are great. Laura has served us for at least 20 years. She is a jewel. First layer of telephone customer service is good. Very clear and cordial but once you hit the Fraud dept, etc they become hard to understand and not very helpful. Of course, there are exceptions. Do not feel very served in other areas of the bank when there is an urgent problem. Everything was resolved in the end, but not without a few new gray hairs and lots of phone calls and visits. I hope they will be able to get more staffing to relive the pressure. I just want it to be as it was in the past.

My mother is a 20+ year customer of Citibank and things have been swell since she only does simple banking but if you require anything beyond that, no matter how seemingly small, you will be caught in a myriad of bureaucracy. We only requested that a name be removed from the checking account in which all parties agreed to. Sounds simple enough, but we're told that is not allowed, and that we would have to close the account and start a new account, which would be very troublesome as my mother's Social Security, credit card payments, mortgage payment, etc are all tied to this account. Then we called Citibank customer service, and they told us it was doable, and the branch would just need to make an exception. You would think that after during the first branch visit that that they would let us know about the exception? Not only that, on our second visit to another branch, same story. They would only admit to this exception after you threaten to close the account. No customer should go through this exhaustion for a simple procedure. Then we are told it would take a week for this to take effect even though we signed off documents waiving all liability to Citibank to take the name off and shredded the ATM card. If something requires a full liability release waiver, that is also notarized by bank official, and the card is shredded on the spot, the process should be handled by the back office as soon as they receive the documents, not sit in some limbo for 7-14 business days, which is effectively 3 weeks. Citibank has dropped the ball big time with customer service, I believe. It's distressing to know that when you speak with branch folks and customer service on the phone, you get different accounts as to the procedures and instructions that you do not know what to believe.

If I could give zero stars I certainly would. I am handling closing an estate for a family member... this bank doesn't handle anything of importance in house. I've now spent 3 hours in this hell hole with people dancing around to basically tell me they can't do anything. The banker filled out my documents only then to have them not load and have to done manually. Not to mention their slogan is business on Saturday will be handled Monday. After being here I went to the other families account at Mechanics next to trader joes and saw the branch manager and WOW what a difference. It was easy, direct and the manager Marc greeted every customer by name as they came in. He even had his notary notarize docs from citi bank that they couldn't. Do not bank here you'll spend hours and only get disappointment
