We had a wonderful experience here. We were having trouble assessing quality and comfort when browsing at bar stools online. We found this place and decided to check it out. I'm so glad we did. They have a vast array of barstools to sit on, feel, and evaluate. As a bonus, Fred helped us and he was incredibly helpful, personable and enhanced our shopping experience. They also have very competitive pricing. Save yourself the hassle of trying to buy something online that you will likely return- come to this place to buy your barstools and dining table- you will be glad you did.

If you are shopping for quality furniture and excellent customer service, look no further than California Dining and Barstools! Rob in the Pleasant Hill store helped me select a dining set that would work for our space, and offered optional chairs to go with the table instead of those shown on the floor. On delivery day, we found a small flaw on the table and Rob promptly offered a replacement table which was just delivered. It is perfect for our family. We couldn't be happier!

I can't say enough about how lucky we are to have California Dining & Bar Stools in our area. From the moment you walk in, you know you are in good hands. I purchased my first set of stools from them over 7 years ago at the old location. That experience and those stools were excellent. After remodeling our kitchen this summer I was back at the newer PH location and had another terrific experience. This is a family-owned business that believes in old fashioned Customer Service. Their selection is vast, all high quality, not IKEA junk. There is no pressure tactics, only great information and advice. When I couldn't decide between two styles, I was offered to take home the samples to get a better idea. I can't think of any store that offers that kind of service. Sure enough it made the decision easier and a few days later my new brand new stools arrived. Robert is knowledgeable, helpful and very communicative. I highly recommend California Dining & Bar Stools to anyone looking for quality furniture, good pricing and a family approach to business.

I became a customer of California Dining and Bar Stools in 2016 when I purchased a set of 6 dining chairs and 3 barstools that were custom made for me by Saloom Furniture Company in Massachusetts. The chairs were very well built and the buying and delivery process went very smooth. In 2022 I needed another set of the same chairs and stools but with different stain and fabric. Sal and Fred handled my transaction and shipped them to me since I was out of the area. Everything went great and I am a very satisfied customer. They have quality items and fair prices with great customer service.

After we remodeled our kitchen, we needed two bar stools for a new, higher counter. We went to California Dining and Bar Stools and found the perfect pair from their wide selection. The stools are a perfect fit and turned the counter into our Zoom studio for remote working. So when we decided to get a new dining table and chairs, we returned to store and again found the perfect set. Filippo let us know it would take a couple of months for the set to arrive from New England and when it did, it was beautiful. Except for one thing -- the manufacturer had changed the padding on the seats and they were too tall for my wife and some friends. Filippo listened carefully to our story, measured what the height should be and then arranged for an upholsterer to remake the seat cushions -- at no cost to us. He brought them by today and they are perfect. Yeah, the boss personally took care of the modifications and the delivery! Excellent selection and excellent service all around.

California Dining & Bar Stools stands by their products. After searching many furniture stores and not finding anything I liked. California Dining & Bar Stools had exactly what I wanted. I ordered a new dining room set. I appreciated Rob advising me of the slow delivery due to the supply channel issues of the panic. When the set arrived, there was a defect in the table pop-up leaf. The delivery employee agreed and called Rob. I sent the requested pictures. Rob called me a couple of days later to let me know he and the manufacture agreed to replace the table; made me very happy. The new table arrived and looks great! I also need to compliment the employee who put the table together at my home; did a great job and protected my floor with a packing blanket as he worked. All in all, a great experience!

Seriously these are the nicest people at California stools. Our friends in Alamo purchased four barstools from here and suggested we purchase our swiveling barstools here because the pricing is so fair (about half of restoration hardware or more) and the quality is really good. Ours friends and us even ordered the special outdoor Sunbrella fabric from RESTO and dropped it off and Cal Stools installed the color we desired (Navy Blue) on the barstools' cushions. Rob and the other gentlemen are even dropping off loaner outdoor bar stools at our house while we wait a couple more weeks for the real barstools which (like everything in this world right now) are back-ordered several weeks. It's an inauspicious business in a small strip mall that is really really a great place and a local treasure for any kind of stools or barstools indoor or outdoor & we highly recommend these guys.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and family room. The 'finishing touch' was getting just the right bar stools to go with the beautiful new counter. My adult daughter and I went into CA Stools, Bars & Dinettes and were initially met by Rob and then Filippo. They were great! They helped us identify "mid range' stools and offered us one to take home for a "test". We also brought home the fabric and metal samples to play with. We liked it very much. We were able to easily choose the best matches for our rooms, while at home. Took the 'test' stool and fabric/metal choices back and were able to order just what we'd had in mind. They said our order would take several weeks. After a few weeks, we were having a birthday party (mostly in the Covid-friendly back yard...) but friends also wanted to peek at the new kitchen. I called the store "just checking" if by chance our barstool order came in early. They very politely offered to check on it, called me back and reported that the order was running AHEAD of schedule! Yay! On the day of the party, a very nice fellow delivered the stools to our home--just in time! Dealing with this company was lovely--like dealing with a small-town, 'old school' company!
