Stay away from Bassett ******** **** *** My salesperson was a liar. My furniture was delivered damaged. A replacement dresser took months to get and it was also damaged. My dining room chairs $800+ each were delivered damaged and custom matching stain on chair legs didnt match the table. I refused the delivery and was refunded my money. I still have the bedroom set (garbage) every time I use it, I remember the 6 months of torture this company put me through.

The salesperson was cordial and courteous and did make a sale from me. However, she was deceiving when she said Bassett doesn't take old furniture away but the referral she gave me for pick up was "easy and simple." No it wasn't. I ended up using my local disposal company to pickup. In addition, their delivery people were discourteous and abrupt. They came thirty minutes early and I had my FELT TABS peeled and ready to put on base of the new sofa to protect the hardwood floors. The guy tried to dissuade me from putting them on saying "there's plastic on the bottom." I noticed this would not suffice and proceeded to quickly adhere the FELT TABS to each corner. The guy blurted out, "Don't waste my time." Uh. Great customer service there. I'llNEVER PURCHASE A THING FROM THEM AGAIN.

I strongly encourage you to buy a couch elsewhere. It would appear the customer is expected to have a couch repaired. I don't mean in a few years, I mean immediately. This low quality appears to be standard by the reaction of not only manager, Michael but also region manager, John. The two of them nonchalantly respond to concerns and respond with their, one year warranty of repair. How many times should a customer expect to repair brand new couches?I now know, if a company cannot provide you a better warranty than a year of repair, don't purchase. I know, who, would think a repair would be needed in a year, let alone twice. Well, it happens, trust me. I sadly ended up buying new couches, as I could no longer put up with such poor quality. These are brand new couches, made to order, made in America (allegedly better craftsmanship), made by a designated furniture company. FYI, no kids-two adults sitting after work to watch TV or read. I have also spoken with Darlene in Virginia Corp Office, she had John call me. This means, three representatives and not one apology for my troubles or the quality of my couches. So, does Bassett teach to not apologize or is the poor quality known, in the Bassett world and we, the customers, only find out when it is too late? DO NOT buy Bassett couches. You are better off buying from a department store, Macy's, Costco, online from Wayfair-anywhere but Bassett. The photos w/ the arm rest show how it has flattened-one year. 1013101

We ordered a coach on President’s day weekend from Basset in Dublin and it was supposed to be delivered first week of May. We have not received the coach as of June 11,2022 and whenever We call them they are so rude and making excuses. We are so disappointed of them and the way they handles customer service. We know for sure that this will be the last time buying furniture frome Bassette.

Spent 13k on a sectional with 3 recliners & ottoman. Took 4 months to get. The ottoman never arrived. It was damaged. U can see the wood outlined on the back of it. The couch does not line up at all. It doesn't fit together. The cushions don't lie flat. It is all wrinkled. The cushions are messed up. My feet don't touch the ground like the one I'm the store. My head doesn't rest against it it either. There are dents and bumps on it. The couch is so stiff. They say non refundable really? They better back there product. I don't accept this poorly made couch that took 4 months to get either. Super disappointed! Want my money back!

I sure wish I had thought to check Yelp before making my recent purchase at Bassett. We purchased a custom sofa with the highest grade fabric available. Waited months for it to arrive. 3 months after delivery, the fabric is pilling considerably. When we shared this with the folks at Bassett, we were shown the warranty sheet and were told that pilling isn't covered under warranty. They offered a complimentary shaving of our sofa and said that after that, we'd have to shave it on our own. I reached out on their customer service site with no response. I am beyond frustrated and can't fathom how they can justify the solution we were offered. BUYER BEWARE.

I am so disgusted with the $10,000 couch we purchased from this location. I waited many months and it came in multiple deliveries. The couch is power recliner and each piece is supposed to connect to each other. However, none of them do. There are sharp metal plugs that are supposed to connect together which don't. There are 3 huge power cord chargers that cannot be hidden or plugged in in any sort of concealed way. I've called many times and have only been told a repair guy might come out. I called immediately upon receipt knowing that I'd have to pay a restocking fee. However I was told that this franchise does not do that. It's just unacceptable for this kind of luxury purchase to be treated this way. I've just purchased a whole house full of new furniture from the San Marcos location for another home and have been treated fairly when issues arrive. I know Bassett furniture is great quality but this couch is horrible. Never spend your money here! Michael the manager has not helped me and Amanda the sales lady did not help either. I'm very disappointed to say the least

We have bought several items here over the last few years. This weekend we worked with Rolf, who was very helpful. We were just adding an ottoman to match our previous purchase, but he took the time to help us find just the right size and height. With Covid going crazy right now, we appreciated that he wore his mask properly and maintained appropriate personal space. Now if they would only do something about the 50 year old depressing music in the store, it would be a perfect shopping experience.

Wow. I thought I was buying good quality furniture but it is poorly made and not worth the money. Spent nearly $10,000 on new furniture with the company for several rooms and sorry that I did. The file cabinet office piece I purchased is so poorly designed that the file rails fall out of the notches when you open the drawer and all the files fall off. Plus in doing so it ripped the cabinet side. The media cabinet pulls are poorly designed as well. Some sit flat and others don't. One of the inside drawers is scratched. What kind of quality control and design are they doing! Waiting now to see if they will refund me.

Had a great experience working with Howard at the Topanga location in decorating my living room. I love everything I bought and he did a great job incorporating the pieces I was keeping. We couldn't have done it without you Howard.

This furniture store has the worst customer service I have ever encountered in this type of store. They don't open till 11 and close at 6 and don't try to leave them a message after hours. We bought a chair there and it has been broken sine day 1. A service person came out and could not fix the recliner. A part has been ordered for several months and still hasn't arrived. Bassett's has a NO RETURN POLICY so don't try to get your $ back. So the chair is still broken and I'll be surprised if it ever works correctly. Thus my 1 star rating. I can't remember any other store that has a strict NO RETURN POLICY. This is not your Nordstrom of furniture stores.
