Raised our rent $300 a month during a pandemic and after almost a year of all the amenities being either closed or limited capacity. Wish corporate would show some sense rather than being greedy. Last apartment I lived in didn’t raise our rent when the lease was up because COVID had just hit - so I know it’s possible for these places so hold off.

Lived in Ventana for 1 years before bought a house nearby. Overall pleasant experience there, nice building, nice management crew, nice neighborhood. However, nightmare started after moving out. Didn’t received deposit back until after nearly 1 whole year, which typically should be a few weeks per its policy, and many called and email exchanges. Account error, system failure, staff change… Nice people but very disappointed with the way they handled it. Even worse, 1.5 years later, got a mail from debt collection company said I owned Ventana $68 and failed to pay it off. Called the leasing office immediately. Turned out it’s the final utility bill charged a few days after I moved out. Really? Why not deduct it from my thousand $$ deposit? Why not mail or email or call or text me? I paid it off right away anyway. Bye forever. 2 months later, received my credit report, dropped 40 points due to a major derogatory mark on one of my accounts. Yes, the debt collection company reported it and still trying to collect the $68. Fight continues.

We lived in the Ventana for a little over two years and moved out primarily because we no longer felt safe. In July 2023, an attempted burglar kicked in our front door in the middle of the day while we were home. Despite our requests, the leasing office team declined to post any sort of notice or an image of the perpetrator (caught on security camera) in public spaces to warn other residents. Perhaps they were hoping to quietly sweep it under the rug, but this shows that the safety of residents is clearly not a priority. Beyond this terrifying incident, there have also been numerous instances of car prowlers in the parking garage within the past year.More broadly, dealing with the leasing office staff (namely Yolanda and Eric) is a uniquely frustrating experience. They're slow to respond to questions or requests, and will generally require multiple reminders before they'll take any sort of action. Yolanda, in particular, will readily promise to complete a certain task, but then fail to follow through. This was a consistent pattern throughout our tenancy, with the most egregious case being that our mortgage approval was put at risk due to the bank being unable to verify our rental history, despite Yolanda repeatedly assuring us that it would be completed "later today."Finally, the building itself is in reasonably good shape, though it does show its age. Walls/floors are fairly thin so it's very likely you'll hear your neighbors. Rather concerningly, building-wide fire alarms go off regularly (about once per week), and people don't even bother to evacuate since they know it's almost certainly yet another false alarm. Apart from being a major nuisance, this is a tragedy waiting to happen in the event of a real fire.In summary, the main draw to this particular property was the competitive rental pricing (at least, it was at the time we moved in), but you'll pay a different sort of cost in the form of the items I've listed above.

We've lived at Ventana for 3 years now and highly recommend it! The team in the leasing office is extremely friendly and helpful, and we've had no trouble at all with any maintenance requests. The manager is amazing!

The Ventana is a great place to live! The leasing office staff led by Yolanda, Eric and Abraham are amazing and treat residents like family. Kudos also to the maintenance staff led by Greg who ensure any service requests are taken care of immediately. The apartments itself are in a very desirable location in LA, safe and close to LAX and all the beaches with near-perfect weather year round which gives it a feel of resort-living. They also have bi-weekly food trucks stopping by near the front office and resident events year-round which helps with residents interacting with each other and staying engaged in the community. There's also a Farmers Market every Saturday not too far away, and a bunch of restaurants and a movie theatre at walkable distance. Also, for nature lovers - lots of parks to choose from and a great hike by LMU with wonderful views of the neighborhood and city. Not to forget - the entire community is pet-friendly and is in a great area to have a pet. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to rent around Silicon Beach!!

What an incredible 5 years! This place is awesome. Both me and my dad had units here and i got to say, I couldn’t recommend ANY other place. The Ventana is HOME. They take really good care of the residents, they helped me if i had ANY issues at all and was treated like family. I NEED to recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to live in Playa Vista. PV literally has everything you need and the surrounding as well. You’re so close to everything that suits you. Unfortunately i had to leave after 5 years to be closer to work, I wish i didn’t have to, but thats how it goes. Please schedule a tour and look at both the 6565 building, and the 7225 building. I'll miss this place and Playa Vista while I'm moving up in my career, I do hope to return someday if life brings me back! Take care current and future residents and staff!!

I lived here for five years, and found them to be ok. However, if you plan to move, be prepared for them to try to withhold your security deposit and fabricate reasons why it was held. You will have to fight hard for your money.

I love my apartment and the location of the Ventana. The staff have been incredibly kind and helpful. This review is just an attempt to get management's attention and provide a solution to the horrendous mail situation. There are FIVE different locations where parcels are being dropped off - 1. At your front door (ideal) 2. In the Leasing Center 3. In the front lobby 4. At Building A's mail boxes 5. At Building B's mailboxes. Our deliveries have wound up at all locations. And today, the mailbox was left wide open because it's in such a state of disrepair. I don't blame the delivery crews who are probably swamped and just as confused. This should have been fixed by installing Package Concierge within the week, but it seems this has been going on for over a month at least. This is beyond unacceptable for how nice of a building this is, and how much everyone relies on deliveries during COVID quarantines. I ask that management please give our building some much needed attention and I'll happily revise this review. ----After speaking with on-site team--- There is a parcel locker on the way and the team has been very communicative about the process. Just a perfect COVID storm or increased deliveries and on-site redtape getting in the way of fixing the only thing wrong with this community.

I love living at the Ventana Apt's. Whenever people come by, they always mention that they feel like they're on vacation and it's so true. The leasing office takes good care of their residents and Yolanda is professional and such a pleasure to work with. Take a trip to Playa Vista and see what all the hype is about. It's easy living for sure.

I've lived here for 3 1/2 years and my only gripe is that I can't stay here longer. Farewell Ventana! We walked our dogs in the park across the street all hours of the day and night and there was never a time I didn't feel completely safe. This place is a special bubble. We loved our apartment: plenty of room, lots of light, and cool neighbors. Greg and his whole maintenance crew are awesome. They have always been prompt, efficient and just all around nice guys. Yolanda, along with Jonathan and Eric, in the front office has always been so kind to us and is super helpful whenever we had questions or needed anything. She always had her door open and was up for a little chat. She's a little gem that was always so nice to see. It is was actually sad to move away from such a great team of people who made our apartment living feel like a home with a great community. I would definitely move back here if I could.

When I moved into The Ventana in 2016, I noticed many Yelp reviews stating that The Ventana does not pay back security deposits. I shrugged these off, thinking those were anomalies. Now that they are under new management, they wiped the previous reviews. After 3 years of living there, I can confirm that The Ventana does not refund security deposits. It's been six months post move out, and I have yet to receive my security deposit back. After 3 months went by with no check, I started emailing and calling about this and kept being told the check was on the way. Now I am told a check will be on the way but they are deducting several hundred dollars for carpet replacement, even though my carpet was in excellent condition. Typically apartment complexes always replace carpets at their own expense upon a resident vacating a unit - that's just the cost of doing business. All in all, the complex is nice and more affordable than others in the area. Just be aware that you will not get all (or any) of your deposit back, which may still be worth it to you.

I very pleased to re-sign my rental lease for the 3rd conservative time. My place is small lovely and cozy. The maintenance service as well for when the new grilling area is updated as the customer service has really been outstanding. We have a new Property Management Company,, new poolside furniture and the grounds were swept a few days ago.

My experience living here at The Ventana has been amazing! I took up residency 9 years ago, had to relocate for a short period of time due to work circumstances, and as soon as I had the opportunity to return to the westside I came back to The Ventana. Nothing compares to this community, from friendly, helpful, patient office staff to valuable amenities. I had an appointment with Yolanda and she welcomed me with a friendly smile while she carried out my paperwork/ lease signing with the utmost professionalism. Yolanda, Eric, and Jonathan have continued to provide excellent customer service throughout the time I have lived here. Any time I need assistance they show that they care, follow up and follow through to make sure things are right. I'm grateful to be able to call this community my home.

I have just arrived to the Ventana apartments and my experience here has been paradise. The amenities here are exceptional. Just yesterday, I discovered a massive bon fire pit, the flames rose over my head. Near by, was a stainless steel bbq grill near by. So I decided to have friends over and enjoy the night sky around the flame. However, what really shines the most here at the Ventana is it's staff. When I first arrived I walked into Yolanda's office, she was warm, kind, and professional. I felt incredibly welcomed and everything went smoothly because of her. When ever I need assistance or questions about the facility her, Johnathan, and the staff are very informative and incredibly helpful. I can tell the staff takes pride in their work and are passionate about making this place incredibly for everyone here. Thanks again Ventana see you by the pool!
